It's Tancred Stakes Day in Sydney on Saturday, with a couple of prominent gallopers making an appearance in this week's multi-bet, while Doomben also features for the reliable Tony Gollan stable.

Doomben Race 2 Number 10 KNIGHT MARINER - Win

This gelding was outgunned late at Toowoomba last start, but strips fitter now. He's down in the weights and draws the inside. He's from a leading stable with a smart hoop aboard and looks very hard to knock off.

Rosehill Race 8 Number 2 HINGED - Place

This filly is airborne at the moment and has been one of the great beneficiaries of of the wet tracks. She will get another Heavy surface this weekend and is drawn to settle a lot closer than her last start, when she rattled home to take third in the G1 Coolmore Classic. She should have no trouble finding the frame.

Rosehill Race 9 Number 13 GRAVINA - Place

Was almost good to us a fortnight ago before three words popped up that no punter wants to see, 'no third dividend'. He slipped at the start that day and got further back than anticipated, running on strongly behind subsequent G1 winner Shelby Sixtysix. The form stacks up, he's drawn well down in the weights and we believe he can finish in the money.

This combination comes up at a handy $5.60 (Ladbrokes, 4:30pm AEDT Thursday).
