It's day one of The Championships at Royal Randwick this Saturday, but only one of our selections come from the 10-race card as Bendigo and Eagle Farm both get a look in this week.

We're hoping to see history, as well as a couple of 'nice thirds' (at least) to lift our multi over the line and bring in a winning Saturday.

Let's get to it.

Randwick Race 7 Number 1 HITOTSU Win
This superstar colt picked up where he left off following his victory in the Victoria Derby last spring, stretching clear late of his rivals to take out the Australian Guineas (AG) first-up. He has a clear edge on these through a ratings perspective and is drawn to settle prominently from a low draw (4) with very little (None) speed inside of him. The heavy track presents as a slight query, but he seemed to get through the soft (6) going well last start. Class should prevail.

Bendigo Race 7 Number 10 CARDIGAN QUEEN - Place
She was a hard-luck story last time out when flashing late to just miss in a photo. She'll most likely get back from the draw, but if she shows the same finishing burst as last start, she'll finish in the placings.

Eagle Farm Race 8 Number 5 KISUKANO - Place
Is consistently around the mark and her latest start was no different. She's drawn much better today and although she's not won second-up previously, she has been placed 3/4 including at Listed level last campaign. She's drawn well with a nice weight and only bad luck can keep her from finding the frame.

Good luck.
