Co-trainer Trent Busuttin will closely monitor Saturday's BRC Sires' Produce Stakes (Gr 2, 1400m) in Brisbane before committing to a Queensland trip with his juvenile Blushing Tycoon (Written Tycoon).

Blushing Tycoon broke through for his first victory at Flemington last Saturday and Busuttin, who trains in partnership with Natalie Young, said a start in the J.J. Atkins (Gr 1, 1600m) next month is on the cards for the colt, despite facing a decent class rise into the race.

"I'll be paying close attention to the Sires' on Saturday as those that run well there will go for the Atkins and it looks a pretty hot field there on Saturday," Busuttin told Racing.com.

"Blushing Tycoon was solid there on Saturday and so no doubt has to improve to get to that level, but I think the horse certainly has improvement in him and he'll get the 1600 metres.

"It's a Group 1 race and he's by Written Tycoon, so you have to have a look at it."
