Five for Playing God
Nerodio (5 g ex Black Carat by Lonhro) won Saturday’s Beaufine Stakes (Listed, 1000m) at Belmont, his first start in stakes company, handing his sire Playing God (Blackfriars) his fifth stakes winner. 

Nerodio has now won nine times and placed another nine times from 21 starts and his sire stands at Darling View Thoroughbreds where his fee is advertised at $13,200 (inc GST). Playing God’s stakes winners include Group One scorer Kay Cee, Group Two winner Ex Sport Man and the Group Three winning gelding Lordhelpmerun. 

 

53 for Soldier Hollow
Soldier Hollow (In The Wings) sired his 53rd stakes winner when Russian Souffle (4 f ex Russian Samba by Laroche) won the Grosser Bwin Sommerpresis (Listed, 1900m) at Dresden on Saturday. The Andreas Wohler-trained filly defeated Wonnemond (Areion) with Blue Dream (Adlerflug) in third. Russian Souffle is one of eight winners produced by Listed winner Russian Samba and is a half-sister to multiple Group winner Russian Tango (Tertullian).
