117 for Snitzel
Arrowfield Stud's champion sire Snitzel (Redoute's Choice) sired his 117th stakes winner and 44th juvenile stakes winner on Saturday when Best Of Bordeaux (2 c ex Chateau Cheval by High Chaparral) won the Cannonbury Stakes (Gr 3, 1100m) on debut. Best Of Bordeaux was a $425,000 purchase by trainer Kacy Fogden Racing from the draft of Baramul Stud at last year's Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale. Best Of Bordeaux was part of a stakes double for Snitzel on Saturday with Scallopini (7 g ex Rose Of Mulan by More Than Ready) notching up a third stakes victory in the Sunshine Coast Cup (Listed, 1400m).

Arrowfield Stud's Snitzel has now sired 13 stakes winners, including three Group One winners, this season and 11 further stakes placed horses. He is currently sitting third in the Australian sires table by earnings.

74 for I Am Invincible
After finishing second on debut at Randwick last October, Queen Of The Ball (2 f ex Miss Debutante by Fastnet Rock) broke her maiden, first up from a spell, in Saturday's Widden Stakes (Gr 3, 1100m) at Rosehill and gave Yarraman Park's I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) his 74th stakes winner. Raced by Go Bloodstock and trained by Richard and Michael Freedman, Queen Of The Ball is the first foal out of stakes winning Fastnet Rock (Danehill) mare Miss Debutante.

I Am Invincible is currently the leading sire in Australia by winners, seven ahead of his nearest rival with his leading earner this season being Home Affairs.

Eight for Vancouver
The Derby Racing-owned Overpass (3 c ex Walkway by Exceed And Excel) provided Coolmore's Vancouver (Medaglia d'Oro) with stakes winner number eight on Saturday when winning the Expressway Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m). The colt, a $75,000 buy by Darby Racing and Will Johnson Bloodstock at the 2020 Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale Round 2 when offered by Corumbene Stud has now won four of his ten career starts.

27 for Savabeel
The Chosen One (5 h ex The Glitzy One by Flying Spur) won Saturday's Thornton Mile (Gr 1, 1600m), becoming the 27th Group One winner for Waikato Stud's multiple champion sire Savabeel (Zabeel). The Chosen One also handed Flying Spur (Danehill) with his 12th Group One winner as a broodmare sire.

Savabeel is $1 million ahead of nearest rival Tavistock (Montjeu) in the leading sires table in New Zealand by earnings.

Three for Vadamos
The previously stakes placed La Crique (3 f ex Destiny Cove by Dubai Destination) became the third stakes winner and first Group winner for Rich Hill Stud shuttler Vadamos (Monsun) when she won the Desert Gold Stakes (Gr 3, 1600m) at Trentham. Starting favourite, La Crique beat Sassy Merlot (Burgundy) by four and a half lengths.

17 for Shocking
Fellow Rich Hill Stud sire Shocking (Street Cry), recorded his 17th stakes winner on Saturday when Lincoln King (7 g ex She Kin Fly by Shinko King) won the Wellington Cup (Gr 3, 3200m) at Trentham. Shocking's stakes winners are headed by two Group One winners in Fanatic and I'm Thunderstruck.

55 for Showcasing
Former Haunui shuttler Showcasing (Oasis Dream) notched up his 55th stakes winner on Saturday when Monza Circuito (7 m ex Monzahra by Montjeu) caused an upset in the Timaru Stakes (Listed, 1400m) at Riccarton Park. The seven-year-old mare beat favourite, Miss Tycoon Rose (Written Tycoon), by a length.

Showcasing is now based full-time at Whitsbury Manor Stud in England where his 2022 fee is advertised at £45,000.
