Capitalist busiest sire in 2021

Newgate Farm's Capitalist (Written Tycoon) covered a book of 243 mares in Australia last year. The Australian Stud Book released the top 120 stallions by coverings on Tuesday with the son of Written Tycoon, who stood for a career high fee of $99,000 (inc GST) in 2021, busier than any other stallion in Australia. 

The Rosemont Stud-based Shamus Award (Snitzel) covered a book of 216 mares, the most of any stallion in Victoria, while five other stallions covered over 200 mares in 2021; Zousain (Zoustar) (214), King's Legacy (Redoute's Choice) (212), So You Think (High Chaparral) (204), North Pacific (Brazen Beau) (202) and Flying Artie (Artie Schiller) (201). 

A total of 34 stallions covered 150 or more mares, while 79 covered over 100.
