Barbaric (I Am Invincible) will stand at Lyndhurst Stud in 2022, with his fee for his first season at stud set at $8,800 (inc GST).

Bought for $900,000 by China Horse Club, Newgate Bloodstock and WinStar Farm at the 2019 Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale, Barbaric has raced five times for two wins and one placing with his biggest result coming in the 2020 Black Opal Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m).

"It didn't take too much thought," said Jeff Kruger of Lyndhurst Stud.

"He's a Group winning two-year-old, a son of I Am Invincible from a multiple stakes winning Magic Millions winner. Being a $900,000 yearling, he has the looks and pedigree, and is blessed with a wonderful temperament."

Barbaric is one of five winners out of the Group 2 winning and Group 1 placed mare Mimi Lebrock (Show A Heart) whose five victories included the 2007 Magic Millions 2YO Classic (RL, 1200m) as well as the 2008 Tristarc Stakes (Gr 2, 1400m) and Let's Elope Stakes (Gr 3, 1400m). She is herself a half-sister to Heavenly Thought (So You Think) being out of God Love It (St Covet).

Newgate and partners will retain a significant stake in Barbaric and a limited number of lifetime breeding rights are available.
