Five for Per Incanto
Second in the Telegraph Handicap (Gr 1, 1200m) at Trentham in January, the Michael Moroney-trained Roch 'n' Horse (5 m ex Rochfort by Cecconi) went one better and recorded her first Group 1 victory in the Newmarket Handicap (Gr 1, 1200m) at Flemington on Saturday, becoming the fifth Group 1 winner for her sire Per Incanto (Street Cry). Starting at odds of 100-1, the LA Stud bred and raced mare defeated The Astrologist (Zoustar) by a neck, with September Run (Exceed And Excel) third. The LA Stud-based Per Incanto has sired 23 stakes winners with Shadows Cast, Dal Cielo, Santa Monica and Bonmam his other Group 1 winners. The LA Stud-based Per Incanto had 21 lots sell during Karaka 2022 - Book 1 last week at an average of NZ$135,595 and top price of NZ$260,000.

Ten for Mizzen Mast
Second in her last two starts at Group 1 level, Lighthouse (4 m ex More Hoping by North Light) won Saturday's Coolmore Classic (Gr 1, 1500m), becoming the tenth Group / Grade 1 winner for Mizzen Mast (Cozzene). The Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained USA-bred mare beat Mirra Vision (Lonhro) by two lengths and she is one of 62 stakes winners for the now pensioned Mizzen Mast, who stood at Juddmonte Farms in Kentucky.

First for Turn Me Loose
The Windsor Park Stud-based sire Turn Me Loose (Iffraaj) recorded his first Group 1 winner and third stakes winner overall when Lickety Split (2 f ex She's Slinky b Handsome Ransom) won the Sistema Stakes (Gr 1, 1200m) at Ellerslie on Sunday. Trained by Murray Baker and Andrew Forsman, Lickety Split caused an upset to beat favourite, Dynastic (Almanzor), by a nose, with Maven Belle (Burgundy) a close third. Turn Me Loose has two crops of racing age and he is the sire of 16 winners to date with Alabama Gold and Turn The Ace his other stakes winners.

New stakes winners
35 for Tavistock
Cambridge Stud's late sire Tavistock (Montjeu) notched up his 35th stakes winner when the Ciaron Maher and David Eustace-trained Ruthless Dame (2 f ex Ruthless Lady by Keeper) remained unbeaten in Saturday's Thoroughbred Breeders Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) at Flemington. Bought for NZ$90,000 by Ciaron Maher Racing at last year's Karaka Book 1 sale from the draft of Curraghmore, Ruthless Dame beat Nanagui (Sebring) by a neck. Tavistock sired a Flemington stakes doubt with Flying Mascot (4 m ex Lucky Mascot by Zabeel) taking out the next race, the Rose Matron (Gr 3, 1600m), her third Group 3 victory. Tavistock's stakes winners are headed by eighth Group 1 winners. The son of Montjeu (Sadler's Wells) died in December 2019 following a paddock accident.

17 for Dundeel
Let'srollthedice (2 c ex Hannah In A Hurry by More Than Ready) remained unbeaten in two career starts and recorded his first stakes victory in Saturday's Sires' Produce (Gr 2, 1400m) at Flemington. Trained by Danny O'Brien, Let'srollthedice beat Man In The Mirror (Not A Single Doubt) by three quarters of a length, with Yaki Ishi (Maurice) back in third, becoming the 17th stakes winner for Arrowfield Stud's Dundeel (High Chaparral). The winner was bought by John Foote Bloodstock for $240,000 at last year's Inglis Melbourne Premier Yearling Sale from the draft of Stonehouse Thoroughbreds and she is the fourth juvenile stakes winner for her sire with that list including Group 1 winners Yourdeel and Castlevecchio.

Seven for Extreme Choice
Second last start in the Sweet Embrace Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m), She's Extreme (2 f ex Keysbrook by So Secret) went one better in Saturday's Magic Night Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) at Rosehill and in winning provided her Newgate Farm-based sire Extreme Choice (Not A Single Doubt) with stakes winner number seven. Starting favourite, the Anthony Cummings-trained filly beat Magic Carpet (Lonhro) by a length and a half, with Swift Sweet (Snitzel) another two lengths further back in third and will now head to next weekend's Golden Slipper (Gr 1, 1200m). She's Extreme was bought for $32,500 at the 2020 Inglis Digital June (Late) Online Sale before being bought by Anthony Cummings for $275,000 at last year's Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale when offered by Willow Park Stud. Extreme Choice, whose stakes winners are headed by his Group 1 winning son Stay Inside, has sired 24 winners in his first two crops to race.

Two for Russian Revolution
Rise Of The Masses (2 c ex Ruud Awakening by Bernardini) provided his half sister a timely update when he won Saturday's Pago Pago Stakes (Gr 3, 1200m) and became the second stakes winner for his Newgate Farm-based sire Russian Revolution (Sntizel). The Gai Waterhouse and Adrian Bott-trained Rise Of The Masses beat Sweet Ride (Deep Field) by a half length and will now head to the Golden Slipper (Gr 1, 1200m). Rise Of The Masses is out of the Group 1 winning mare Ruud Awakening (Bernardini) and his I Am Invincible (Invincible Spirit) half-sister is catalogued as Lot 393 at next months Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale in the draft of Newgate Farm.
Russian Revolution's first stakes winner was Revolutionary Miss and he has sired five winners so far. The son of Snitzel (Redoute's Choice) is leading the first season sires table in Australia by earnings, over $600,000 clear of nearest rival The Mission (Choisir).

24 for Toronado
Shelby Sixty (5 g ex Storm Kite by Honours List) became the 24th stakes winner for Swettenham Stud shuttler Toronado (High Chaparral) when he won Saturday's Maurice McCarten (Gr 3, 1100m) at Rosehill. The gelding, an $150,000 Inglis Classic Yearling Sale purchase, beat Rule Of Law (Snitzel) by a length and a quarter and took his record to four wins and 11 placings in 23 starts. Toronado's stakes winners include the Group 1 winning duo Masses Crusader and Tribhuvan.
Two for Awesome Rock
Rokanori (3 c ex Nishikawa by Fuji Kiseki) provided Awesome Rock (Fastnet Rock) with his second stakes winner when the Grant Williams-trained colt won the JC Roberts Stakes (Listed, 1800m) at Ascot. Rokanori was a $165,000 Magic Millions Perth Yearling Sale purchase by Shane Nichols Racing when offered by Gervase Park Stud at the 2020 sale. Awesome Rock's first stakes winner was Group 3 winner Searchin' Roc's and he has sired 11 winners from two crops of racing age.

18 for Shamus Award
Rosemont Stud's Shamus Award (Sntizel) sired stakes winner number 18 on Sunday when Irish Songs (6 g ex Lucky Songs by John) won the National Sprit (Listed, 1400m) at Canberra. Trained by Kurt Goldman, Irish Songs beat Ashman (Magnus) by a half length, the gelding's sixth victory in a 44 start career. Irish Songs was bought by his trainer for $140,000 at the Magic Millions National Yearling Sale in 2017 when offered by Attunga stud. Shamus Award enjoyed a successful weekend with his daughter Duais winning the Australian Cup (Gr 1, 2000m) the day prior at Flemington.

The ill-fated Novara Park sire Jakkalberry (Storming Home) sired his third stakes winner on Sunday when Uareastar (5 m ex Enchanteress by Danehill) won the Auckland Cup (Gr 2, 3200m) at Ellerslie. Starting at odds of 12-1, Uareastar beat favourite, Concert Hall (Savabeel), by a head and took her record to six wins and two placings in 15 career starts.
