Ready-to-race prospectors have descended on Sydney for this season's first sale of its kind, which will be held at Warwick Farm on Tuesday.

The Inglis Ready2Race will take place with 181 two-year-olds to be offered.

All youngsters have breezed-up at five sessions in the lead-up to the sale and it was a Shalaa colt from Mel O'Gorman's draft that was a star of Thursday's final breeze-up session at Hawkesbury.

The colt out of the Falvelon mare Sista Act covered the 200m in 10.16secs, which was just 0.02secs outside the benchmark time set by Tal Nolen's Showtime-Damselle colt at the Seymour session.

"All along I thought he was the real deal and I knew he was special from day one, so what he did on the track at his breeze came as absolutely no surprise to me,'' O'Gorman said.

"He's an extremely forward, precocious and confident two-year-old and he's as good a colt as I've ever taken to a breeze up sale and given I've sold Trumbull who won multiple Stakes races, this horse is every bit as good as Trumbull and maybe better.

"From the minute I put a saddle on him he's been a pleasure to train, he's just so talented and I'm sure the buyers will understand what I'm talking about when they see him at Riverside.''

O'Gorman's Shalaa colt will go through in the final hour of the sale, which commences from 11am.

Another highlight from O'Gorman's draft is a colt by Pierata out of Belfast Bella, who ran the second-fastest time of the day, 10.29secs.

He was the sixth-fastest of all the breeze-up horses with others rounding out the top five being a colt Showtime out of Datable who ran 10.20secs, the Harry Angel-Champalou colt (10.23secs) and a colt by Rubick out of Prolific Belle (10.26secs).
