Arrowfield Stud has released the fees for its stallions this season with Dundeel the only sire on the roster who will stand for more this year than last.

The son of High Chaparral, who had Militarize land a third career Group 1 in the Golden Rose and saw Celestial Legend score a stunning Doncaster Mile win, will stand for $88,000, including GST.

That is a slight rise on last year, when he stood for $82,500.

Four Arrowfield stallions will stand for the same fee as 2023, including four-time champion stallion Snitzel, who will command $247,500.

The Autumn Sun also remains unchanged, at $66,000, with his availability subject to his recovery from the recent pelvic injury he suffered at the farm.

Admire Mars and Hitotsu are the other two whose 2023 fees have been maintained, with both the stand for $22,000.

That is the same fee that Castelvecchio will stand for, which is down slightly on last year's $27,500, while Maurice is the other Arrowfield stallion to receive a haircut, down to $55,000 from $82,500.

"Four unchanged fees, two reductions and one modest increase reflects the more conservative economic environment in which we're now operating," Arrowfield chairman John Messara said.

"However, Arrowfield's 2024 roster offers breeders diverse, high-quality opportunities to achieve racing dreams and sale-ring profits.

"This season alone, our four sires with two or more crops of racing age have generated more than $100 million in returns to breeders and owners, and compiled more than 330 winners including 21 stakeswinners.

"We are certainly happy to commit the majority of Arrowfield's broodmares to these seven horses this coming Spring."
