Darley resident Dubawi (Dubai Millennium) sired his 187th stakes winner on Sunday when Maamora (4 m ex Zoowraa by Azamour) made a victorious comeback after a long lay off in the Atalanta Stakes (Gr 3, 1m) at Sandown.

The Simon and Ed Crisford-trained mare had not been seen since her third place finish in the Balanchine Stakes (Gr 2, 1800m) at Meydan in February and she stayed on stoutly to beat 2018 1,000 Guineas (Gr 1, 1m) winner Billesdon Brook (Champs Elysees) - who produced another fine performance to finish half a length adrift in second, while Lavender's Blue (Sea The Stars) finished another three-quarters of a length further back in third.

The four-year-old is one of three winners out of dual winning mare Zoowraa (Azamour), who also produced Pivotal (Polar Falcon) mare Harlech - the dam of last season’s Sweet Embrace Stakes (Gr 2, 1200m) winner Hungry Heart (Frankel).

Zoowraa herself is a daughter of Listed winner Berayism (Lion Cavern), who in turn is out of fellow Listed winner Silk Braid (Danzig).

Meanwhile, the mare’s fourth dam is Grade 3 winner Ribbon (Her Majesty), who is the dam of Belmont Stakes (Gr 1, 12f) winner Risen Star (Secretariat) and Listed scorer Woven Silk (Danzig).

Dubawi (Dubai Millennium) - who stood at Darley’s Dalham Hall for a fee of £250,000 and he will be represented in Australia this season by his multiple Group 1-winning son Too Darn Hot, who will stand at Darley’s Kelvinside base for a fee of $44,000 (inc GST).
