Last seen winning over 1600 metres at Longchamp in September, Normandy Bridge (2 c ex Aiglonne by Silver Hawk) preserved his unbeaten record in the Prix Thomas Bryon Jockey Club de Turquie (Gr 3, 1600m) at Saint-Cloud on Friday and in the process became the 40th stakes winner for Le Havre (Noverre).

The colt is owned by prolific Australian owner Gerry Ryan - who is best known for owning 2010 Melbourne Cup (Gr 1, 3200m) winner Americain (Dynaformer) - and he looked to have it all to do to keep his CV unblemished as Theo Bachelot switched the horse to stands rail with two and a half furlongs left to travel.

However, he had no issues racing in isolation, coming home strongly to beat Homeryan (Sea The Stars) by three-quarters of a length, while British raider and pre-race favourite Naval Crown (Dubawi) was another four lengths further away in third.

Purchased by John Foote for €80,000 at the 2019 Arqana Deauville October Yearling Sale he is out of Aiglonne (Silver Hawk), making him a half-brother to Prix d'Ispahan (Gr 1, 1850m) winner Mekhaal (Sea The Stars), Group 2 winner Democrate (Dalakhani) and Grade 3 winner Aigue Marine (Galileo).

Aiglonne herself is a half-sister to the dam Prix Saint-Alary (Gr 1, 2000m) Germance (Silver Hawk) and Listed scorer Gaily Game (Montjeu).

Le Havre (Noverre) stood at Montfort et Preaux in France for a fee of €50,000 in 2020.
