The Yann Barberot-trained Thalyia (5 m ex Tempola by Anabaa) broke through at stakes level for the first time when taking out the Prix Casimir Delamarre (Listed, 1800m) at Longchamp on Thursday and in the process handed Motivator (Montjeu) with his 31st stakes winner.

Last seen running second over Prix Bertrand de Tarragon (Gr 3, 1800m) on September 18, the five-year-old beat Vadsena (Makfi) by two lengths, while Rolleville (Rock Of Gibraltar) was the same distance away in third.

The filly is one three winners and first stakes winner out of the winning Anabaa (Danzig) mare Tempola.

Thalyia’s third dam is Trevillari (Riverman), who in turn produced Listed winner Tsigane (Anabaa) and Trevise (Anabaa) - the dam of multiple Group 1-winning champion mare Treve (Motivator) and Listed winner Trois Rois (Hernando). Trevillari is also the grandam of Thunder Teddington (Halling).

The filly is bred on the same cross as the aforementioned mare Treve.

Motivator stood at Haras du Quesnay for a fee of €7,000 in 2020.
