Fee for Sea The Stars stays at €150,000
The Aga Khan Studs, which encompasses Gilltown Stud in Ireland and Haras de Bonneval in France, has released its fees for the 2021 season, with Sea The Stars (Cape Cross) once again heading the roster and will stand for an unchanged fee of €150,000.
The son of Green Desert (Danzig) sired 15 stakes winners this year, adding to his Group 1-winning tally with Miss Yoda taking out the Preis der Diana (Gr 1, 2200m), while Fifty Stars also provided him a new elite-level scorer when he landed the Australian Cup (Gr 1, 2000m) in the Autumn.
Sea The Stars stands alongside his dual Derby-winning son Harzand, whose first-crop of two-year-olds has yielded five winners and he will once again stand for a fee of €8,000.
Meanwhile the Haras de Bonneval roster is headed by Siyouni (Pivotal) and he will stand for an increased fee of €140,000 in 2021, having stood the 2020 term at a fee of €100,000.
The son of Pivotal (Polar Falcon) sired 13 stakes winners this season, including three new Group 1 winners in the shape of Dewhurst Stakes (Gr 1, 7f) winner St Mark’s Basilica, Etoile, who landed the EP Taylor Stakes (Gr 1, 10f) in Canada and Poule d'Essai des Pouliches (Gr 1, 1600m) winner Dream And Do.
The stallion was also represented by Sottsass, who added a second Group 1 to his CV when landing the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe (Gr 1, 2400m) earning him a spot on Coolmore’s roster for 2021.
Zarak, a son of Dubawi (Dubai Millennium) and Zarkava (Zamindar) will stand for an unchanged fee of €12,000, while Dariyan (Shamardal), whose first juveniles feature seven European winners, will be offered to breeders at €8,000, unchanged from 2020.
