Ballyhane Stud-based stallion Dandy Man (Mozart) sired his 19th stakes winner on Monday when the Jack Davison-trained Mooneista (3 f ex Moon Unit by Intikhab) landed the Woodlands Stakes (Listed, 5f) at Naas.

The three-year-old filly came into the race off the back of second place finish over five furlongs and she finally got her head in front when she beat Harry’s Bar (Exceed And Excel) by three-quarters of a length, while Back To Brussels (Starspangledbanner) was another half a length away in third.

The filly is one of six winners out of the 2005 Greenlands Stakes (Gr 3, 6f) winner Moon Unit.

Dandy Man’s stakes winners are headed by Group 1-winning trio River Boyne, Peniaphobia and Le Pelosa.

Meanwhile in Chantilly, Marianafoot (6 h Footstepsinthesand - Marianabaa by Anabaa) added a third Listed win to his CV when he landed the Prix Servanne (Listed, 1200m).

A dual winner of the Prix Luthier (Listed, 1500m), the six-year-old defeated Queen Of Love (Kingman) by a comfortable two and a half lengths, while Sestilio Jet (French Fifteen) was a further head away in third.

The daughter of Coolmore Stud-based sire Footstepsinthesand (Giant’s Causeway) is out of dual-winning Anabaa (Danzig) mare Marianbaa, making her a half-sister to Padron (Gris De Gris).

Marianbaa herself is a daughter of Listed winner Maria Gabriella (Rock Of Gibraltar), while further back this is the same pedigree as Listed-winning trio Night Of Light (Sea The Stars), Cashman (Soldier Of Fortune) and Chameur (Shirocco).

Footstepsinthesand shuttled to Australia for two seasons and Marianafoot is one of 66 stakes winners for the stallion, who stands at Coolmore’s Castle Hyde stud in Ireland.
