The Francois Rohaut-trained and George Strawbridge-raced Suesa (3 f Night Of Thunder - Sally Is The Boss by Orpen) took her unbeaten record to four when she landed the Prix Texanita (Gr 3, 1200m) at Chantilly on Monday.

Last seen winning the Prix Sigy (Gr 3, 1100m) at Chantilly on April 20, having landed the Prix Yacowlef (Listed, 1100m) as a two-year-old. The three-year-old filly drew three lengths clear to beat Louliana (Acclamation), while Bavaria Express (Dabarism) was a further length away in third.

Purchased by McKeever Bloodstock for €17,000 at the 2018 Goffs Ireland November Foal Sale, the filly is out of the unraced Orpen (Lure) mare Sally Is The Boss and she is the first stakes winner in two generations of her family.

The filly’s third dam is Canton Lightning (Rheingold) - the dam of Listed winner Chenille (Tenby), while this is also the same family as fellow Listed winner Nights Cross (Cape Cross).

The son Dubawi (Dubai Millennium) - who has sired 20 stakes winners overall - shuttled to Australia for one season and his southern hemisphere crop is headed by four stakes winners, including Group 2 winner Cherry Tortoni and Group 3 scorer A Beautiful Night.

Night Of Thunder now resides exclusively at Darley's Kildangan Stud in Ireland and he stood for an increased fee of €75,000 in 2021, having stood the 2020 season for a fee of €25,000.
