A day after notching up his ninth stakes winner, Mehmas (Acclamation) sired his tenth stakes winner when the Arche Watson-trained Mehmento (3 c ex Invincible Me by Invincible Spirit) won the Surrey Stakes (Listed, 7f) at Epsom.

Under Hollie Doyle, Mehmento ran on well in the closing stages and pulled clear to beat Legal Attack (Shalaa) by two and three quarters of a length.

Now the winner of three starts, Mehmento was bought for £16,250 by Bandford Bloodstock and Archie Watson at last year's Goresbridge Flat Breeze Up Sale. He is one of three winners out of his unplaced dam, Invincible Me (Invincible Spirit) who is a half-sister to stakes placed gelding Kyllang Rock (Kyllachy). This is also the family of three-time Group 1 winner and former Windsor Park shuttle sire Charm Spirit (Invincible Spirit).

Last year's champion first season sire Mehmas stands at Tally-Ho Stud in Ireland where his 2021 fee was set at €25,000 having stood the previous year for a fee of €7,000.
