The Acropolis strikes on his second start when breaking his maiden at Listowel
Coolmore shuttler Churchill (Galileo) was represented by his second winner on Sunday when The Acropolis (2 c ex Hairy Rocket by Pivotal) broke his maiden over six furlongs at Listowel.
Trained by Aidan O'Brien, the colt scored an easy three and a half length victory over Thunder Eclipse (Holy Roman Emperor).
A €140,000 purchase at the Goffs November Foal Sale by Camas Park Stud, The Acropolis becomes the second winner out of Group 2 placed Pivotal (Polar Falcon) mare Hairy Rocket.
Churchill will stand for a fee of $22,000 (inc GST) at Coolmore Australia this spring.
