Cambridge Stud shuttler Almanzor (Wootton Bassett) sired his second winner on Wednesday when Queen Trezy (2 f ex Elodie by Dansili) broke her maiden at Lyon Parilly.

Under Christophe Soumillon, Queen Trezy quickened impressively when into the straight to record a three length victory over First Shot (Shalaa). Perfect Liaison (Vadamos) was a close third.

Queen Trezy, who was bought for €125,000 by her trainers Carlos and Yann Lerner at last year's Arqana Selection Sale, is out of the winning Dansili (Danehill) mare Elodie. She is a sister to Group One winners With You and We Are and a half-sister to fellow Group One winner Call The Wind (Frankel) being out of In Clover (Inchinor).

Based at Haras d'Etreham in the Northern Hemisphere, Almanzor's first winner was Faro De San Juan. His first Southern Hemisphere-bred crop were extremely well received in the sales ring this year with the most expensive being a colt who was boguht for $800,000 by Ultra Thoroughbred Racing from the draft of Bhima Thoroughbreds at the Magic Millions Gold Coast Yearling Sale.
