Wootton Bassett busy in Europe

The Coolmore Australia shuttler covered a strong book of 244 mares during his first season in Ireland

Coolmore Australia shuttler Wootton Bassett (Iffraaj) covered a book of 244 mares at Coolmore Stud in County Tipperary this year at a fee of €100,000. The mares he covered included the dams of Group One winners in Audarya (Wootton Bassett), Channel (Nathaniel), Golden Horde (Lethal Force), Harry Angel (Dark Angel) and Zoustar (Northern Meteor). 

Meanwhile, Group One winners covered by the son of Iffraaj (Zafonic) this year include Alexandrova (Sadler’s Wells), Bracelet (Montjeu), Clemmie (Galileo), Found (Galileo), Peeping Fawn (Danehill), The Fugue (Dansili) and Was (Galileo).

Wootton Bassett is standing his first season in Australia for a fee of $71,500 (inc GST) this year.
