Coolmore Australia shuttler Churchill (Galileo) sired his fourth stakes winner when Il Grande Gatsby (3 c ex Irene Watts by Mistake Tern) won the Premio Pisa (Listed, 1600m) in Italy on Sunday.

Under Frankie Dettori, Il Grande Gatsby pulled clear to a dominant four length victory, his fourth overall win and first at stakes level. He is one of five winners and the first stakes winner out of stakes placed mare Irene Watts (Miswaki Tern).

Churchill's 2022 fee at Coolmore Stud in Ireland is advertised at €25,000. He covered a book of 160 mares at Coolmore Australia last year when he stood for a fee of $22,000 (inc GST) and he has one lot due to sell at the Inglis Australian Easter Yearling Sale this week.

Churchill has sired two winners in Australia from his first Australian-bred crop, the Sydney metropolitan winners Conqueror and Robusto.
