After announcing last month that multiple Group 1 winner Stradivarius (Sea The Stars) will stand at the National Stud in Newmarket next year, the operation revealed on Friday that his fee has been set £10,000.

The John and Thady Gosden-trained son of Sea The Stars (Cape Cross) retired from racing having won 20 of his 35 starts including the Group 1 Ascot Gold Cup (2m3f) on three occasions in 2018, 2019 and 2020 and the Group 1 Goodwood Cup (2m) in 2017, 2018, 2019, and 2020.

Stradivarius is out of the Listed placed Bering (Arctic Tern) mare Private Life who also produced Group winner Persian Storm (Monsun) and the stakes placed pair Rembrant Van Rijn (Peintre Celebre) and Magical Eve (Oratorio). Group 1 Melbourne Cup (3200m) winner Protectionist (Monsun) features under the second dam.
