Most expensive of five stallions to stand at Banstead Manor Stud in 2023
Frankel (Galileo) will stand for a career high fee of £275,000 at Banstead Manor Stud in Newmarket next year, Juddmonte Farms announced on Wednesday.
Set to be crowned leading sire by prize money in Europe this year with earnings of £10,592,237, just over £2 million ahead of nearest rival Dubawi (Dubai Millennium), Frankel has sired nine individual Group 1 winners this year and he is the sire of the four highest-priced yearlings at Tattersalls Book 1 headlined by the world's highest-priced yearling sold in 2022 at 2.8 million guineas.
Frankel stood for £175,000 for four years between 2018 and 2021 and his 2022 fee was set at £200,000.
Kingman (Invincible Spirit) meanwhile is subject to a small fee decrease to £125,000 from £150,000 this year. In 2022 he reached 50 stakes winners, faster than any other stallion in history, other than Frankel.
The roster is completed by Oasis Dream (Green Desert) who will stand his 20th year at stud for an unchanged fee of £20,000. Bated Breath's (Dansili) fee remains at £15,000 while Expert Eye's (Acclamation) fee is reduced to £7,500 from £10,000 for his fifth season at stud.
