Coolmore America has announced the fees for their 16-strong roster with Triple Crown-winning pair Justify (Scat Daddy) and American Pharoah (Pioneerof The Nile) - who both shuttle to the operations Australian base - standing for reduced fees.

Justify stood his first two seasons at Ashford at a fee of US$150,000 and he has had his fee trimmed to US$125,000. The son of Scat Daddy (Johannesburg) had his first northern hemisphere bred foals on the ground this season.

American Pharoah, who is the sire of ten stakes winners in total and he was handed his first Grade 1 winner when his daughter Harvey's Lil Goil landed the Queen Elizabeth II Challenge Cup (Gr 1, 9f) earlier this month. He stood for a fee of US$110,000 last season and will be offered to breeders at a fee of US$100,000 in 2021.

As reported on Thursday, Caravaggio will be welcomed onto the Ashford roster for the 2021 breeding season and he will be joined by multiple Grade 1 winner Maximum Security (New Year’s Day) and Echo Town (Speightstown), who won the H Allen Jerkens Stakes (Gr 1, 7f) in August. Fees for Maximum Security and Echo Town will be announced at a later date, while Caravaggio will stand his first season in America at a fee of US$25,000.

Multiple Grade 1 winner and champion Uncle Mo (Indian Charlie) has had his fee increased to US$175,000 from US$125,000, while former shuttler Air Force Blue (War Front) will stand for a reduced fee of US$10,000, having stood for US$15,000 in 2020.

“Our established sires have enjoyed great success on the racetrack this year, but in recognition of the challenging times we find ourselves in, we have reduced the fees of all of our sires yet to have runners with the one exception of Mendelssohn who we have probably under-priced all along,” said Ashford’s director of sales Charlie O’Connor. “We have three exciting new additions to our roster and we look forward to watching Echo Town and Maximum Security continue to show their brilliance on the racecourse before they retire.”
