Cracker Day For Magic Millions Graduates

Winx wasn't the only star to shine on a day of notable results for Magic Millions graduates on Saturday.

Crack Me Up, Flippant, Nomothaj, Glendara, Secret Agenda and Krone were among the Magic Millions products to record wins of note/

CRACK ME UP: Now in the Bjorn Baker stables in Sydney, Crack Me Up (Mossman) added another feature win to his impressive resume when he beat home fellow MM buy Care to Think to win the G3 Liverpool City Cup at Randwick.

A $60,000 Gold Coast Yearling Sale buy for his former trainer Liam Birchley from Glastonbury Farms, Crack Me Up (Mossman x Chuckle by Danehill), has now earned his connections over $603,000 with six wins and five runner-up efforts from just 22 starts.

Baker took over the training of Crack Me Up when Birchley was blocked from racing in NSW while a doping probe in Victoria continues.

FLIPPANT: The Peter and Paul Snowden-trained 5YO mare Flippant (Hinchinbrook x Lady Beckworth by General Nediym)won the G3 Frances Tressady Stakes at Flemington to provide her sire with the second leg of a stakes double following up Seabrook’s victory in the G2 Sweet Embrace Stakes at Randwick.

Raced by a partnership that includes Yarraman Park, where her sire resides, Flippant was a $220,000 Gold Coast Yearling Sale purchase for McKeever Bloodstock from Bell River Thoroughbreds.

She is a multiple black type winner and has now clocked up over $650,000 in earnings.

SECRET AGENDA: Group One winning mare Secret Agenda (Not A Single Doubt x Negotiate by Red Ransom) enhanced her impressive first up record when she sprinted to victory in the Listed Bob Hoysted Handicap at Flemington.

The $120,000 Gold Coast Yearling Sale buy from Arrowfield Stud is raced by a large group of clients of syndication company Blueblood Thoroughbreds.

NOMOTHAJ: The strong form out of January's $2 million Magic Millions 2YO Classic continued at Flemington when Snitzel filly Nomothaj won the Listed juvenile event.

Nomothaj (Snitzel x Real Stolle by Elusive Quality) edged out Dundeel youngster Irukandji in an all Magic Millions/Arrfowfield finish. The win was the second in three starts for Nomothaj - both her wins coming at stakes level.

Nomothaj, a member of the Lindsay Park stable of David and Ben Hayes and Tom Dabernig, was purchased by Shadwell Australasia for $420,000 from the Newgate Farm draft at the 2017 Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

KRONE: The Listed Cinderella Stakes at Morphettville produced a milestone result with Eurozone filly Krone winning for the Darren Weir stable at Morphettville.

The filly is Eurozone’s first stakes winner. and was purchased by Roll the Dice Racing for $120,000 from Rosemont Stud at October's Gold Coast 2YOs in Training Sale.

The filly ran the fastest sectional breeze at last year's Seymour breeze ups in Victoria. Krone was a successful pin hook from the Widden Stud draft for $60,000 at last year's Gold Coast Yearling Sale.

A full sister to Krone is being prepared by Victoria's Krisnat Park for the upcoming Adelaide Magic Millions Yearling Sale at Morphettville.

GLENDARA: The Gold Coast March Yearling Sale received a boost when Magic Millions graduate Glendara scored a dashing win in the Listed Member's Cup at Doomben.

The Barry Baldwin trained 7YO gelding is a full brother to Lot 254 at this month's Gold Coast sale for Wyalla Thoroughbreds.

Glendara *Show A Heart x Art Gallery by Marju) is a seven time winner and has earnings of almost $300,000.

Glendara is the 24th stakes winner by veteran Queensland-based stallion Show A Heart (Brave Warrior).
