Juliet Papa Bravo caught the eye at Enghien when impressively drawing away from the field to remain unbeaten and go four from four in her career. As the mobile arms retracted, the favourite, Jalna de Touchyvon was almost left behind and was tailed off early looking an unlikely winner in the early stages. The eventual winner, Juliet Papa Bravo was settled close to the pace being in third, two off the inside. Down the home straight for the first time, Matthieu Abrivard allowed the filly to move forward, and she took up the running with a circuit to go. At that stage the pace looked average and there were around ten lengths covering the main group. As the runners completed their first circuit passing their starting point, the daughter of Ready Cash continued to travel strongly out in front and was seemingly controlling the race with the field still packed together. Racing inside the final 500m and turning into the home straight, Matthieu Abrivard gradually asked for more of the three-year-old and she responded in an efficient and professional manner with the Thierry Duvaldestin trained filly extending her advantage in the home straight. At the 200m marker, she was three lengths clear and by the winning line had almost doubled that lead to be around five or six lengths ahead of her rivals. There was four fighting it out for the placings with Jambavati narrowly beating Jessy des Pistes for second and third respectively. Juliet Papa Bravo is by Ready Cash who was a top-class performer on the track with nine Group One wins including as a two-time champion of the G1 Prix d'Amérique Legend Race (2700m). He has continued his great success during his stallion career so far with offspring including fellow double winner of the biggest trotting race in France, Face Time Bourbon and Bold Eagle. Her dam Une Lady en Or was a high class performer winning the Prix Albert Viel (G1) in 2011, placed in other G1's and also won multiple G2 &G3 races. This three-year-old filly has created a nice impression on each of her four career outings to date with a debut success at Mondoubleau in June a promising start to her racing career. She has since remained unbeaten with victories at Lisieux, Cabourg and now Enghien. Her future looks bright. |
