Race 1: Cornflower Handicap

#6 Red Desert is favoured with no weight on his back here. He's racing well and has an ideal advantage over rivals with the lowly impost. Expect a big run from the inside gate. #1 Will Power won with utter ease two starts ago. He's one of Hong Kong's best dirt performers who should make good account of himself again. #3 Kings Shield can bounce out of the ground at any time – especially on the dirt. Expect he rolls forward and tries to make all. #2 Californiadeepshot is next best. Don't discount.

Race 2: Dendrobium Handicap

#4 Enjoying gets another great chance to break through here. He's yet to win but against this field he rates strongly with Joao Moreira up from the good gate. #1 Butterfield has the class-edge on rivals here. He gets a handy claim but will still need overcome and onslaught of better weighted rivals. #5 Looking Great won with a bit of authority last start. He draws well and is in close to career-best form. #6 Berlin Tango has been a conundrum since his arrival in Hong Kong. Still, the talent is there and he's not without a chance.

Race 3: Snapdragon Handicap

#7 Vitralite has mixed his form and hasn't shown a great deal but has always seemed to trial quite well on the dirt. He might be worth taking a chance on here at the big price as previously, in Great Britain, he did run well on the Tapeta. Big price and he's worth an each way ticket. #5 Steel Win is doing nothing wrong. He's holding his condition and the inside draw favours him. #2 Gold Comet's best would demolish this bunch. Still, he needs to recapture that level of form. Keep safe. #1 Amazing Teens loves the surface. Don't discount.

Race 4: Tulip Handicap

#2 Noble Boyz steps down in grade. He's done well so far, and improvement is expected in Class 5, especially with Zac Purton hopping up. #9 Telecom Missile is competitive in this grade. He gets a favourable draw for the in-form Blake Shinn. #6 Boys Party is not without a chance. He's coming to hand in Hong Kong and can box on from the draw. #12 Vector was touted as an emerging talent, but he has never quite lived up to those expectations. Still, he's advantaged with no weight on his back. Don't discount. He has run well at times.

Race 5: Marigold Handicap

#6 Sixth Generation caught the eye from the rear of the field last start. He looks like he can take another step forward here. #8 Starry Night has done nothing but light up the track in is trials ahead of his debut run. Expect he rolls forward from the inside draw and tries to pinch this. #4 Get The Monies steps out on debut. His trials have been a touch lacklustre, but Vincent Ho's booking suggests he is worth keeping safe. #2 My Ecstatic has claims. His best has him in contention.

Race 6: Kalanchoe Handicap

#5 Kowloon East Star is chasing back-to-back wins. He was withdrawn from betting last time on account of an unfair start from the gates. Still, he ran well that time but before this he won in style – from the front, which is where he is expected to find himself this Sunday. #7 Le Plus Vite has trialled impressively ahead of his debut this weekend. Expect a big effort. #9 Sunshine Legendary steps out on debut. He too appears forward enough to figure first-up. #4 Flying Season rattled into second last time out behind Glenealy Generals. That's good form. He's next best.

Race 7: Oncidium Handicap

#5 Star Contact is progressing well. He's raced twice for two close-up finishes: fourth and third – both times impressing. He can take another step forward here. #2 Nearly Fine has done nothing wrong so far. He's a chance from the good gate with Luke Ferraris engaged. #10 Free Foal has claims as a winner in this grade. He draws well and looks to be on an upward spiral following two game runs for third. #14 President's Choice slots in light. He mixes his form but his threat with Karis Teetan engaged.

Race 8: Jonquil Handicap

#1 Ode To Joy stepped out to finish fifth on debut in Hong Kong. He has his fair share of quality and with injuries and setbacks a thing of the past, he looks set to finally show his true potential in Hong Kong. #6 Beauty Live is after a hat-trick of wins. He's on the sharp improve and is chasing a spot in the Hong Kong Derby – albeit the chance is small. #9 Leading Fortune can do no wrong at the minute. Don't discount from gate one with Zac Purton up. #8 Perfect To Great is sound. He'll get his chance.

Race 9: Freesia Handicap

#3 Flying Ace is a supreme talent having won all three of his starts in Hong Kong. He steps out again after surging for an almighty win last start from near-last on the home turn. He can do it again. #2 Rock Ya Heart is the main danger He's a classy little operator who rarely does any wrong. #5 All In Mind mixes his form but draws favourably here. #9 Easy Snip steps out on debut following a stylish first-past-the-post trial effort. He can make his presence felt on debut for the in-form Benno Yung.

Race 10: Hyacinth Handicap

#11 Let's Do It has shown prowess across his short career in Hong Kong. Suspect he can capitalise on a potential fast pace with his powerful finish. He slots in light and is a chance to upstage better credentialed rivals here. #8 En Pointe is after a hat-trick of wins. He's on an upward spiral. #7 Galaxy Witness is unbeaten across two starts. He's got class and the distance-rise here is of no concern. #2 Seattle Choice is edging closer to another win. Class 3 suits him.
