Race 1: Hawthorn Handicap

#1 Whizz Kid can find the front and rip this field along. He's a smart talent who can collect back-to-back wins under Joao Moreira by displaying an unmatched cruising speed. #3 Special M is nothing short of consistent. Strong booking of Zac Purton holds him in good stead and he's the main danger to the top-weight here. #2 Harmony Fire has a bit of class. Don't discount him under the in-form Karis Teetan. #7 Triple Triple does his best racing at the Valley. He's favoured with no weight on his back.

 Race 2: Yuen Yuen Handicap

#6 Fortune Hero can find the front and run this group along. Strong booking of Blake Shinn in this grade warrants respect. He's the one to catch. #1 Sea Elite makes an ideal drop to Class 5. He returned in excellent order first-up and now looks ready to put his best foot forward. Only concern is the hefty impost. #7 Day Day Rich turned his form around to grab second last start. He's third-up now and steps away from a favourable draw. #9 Zacian is racing well. He's yet to win but always finds himself finishing thereabouts.

 Race 3: Tsun Yuen Handicap

#7 Victorious Seeker doesn't know how to run poorly. He does his best racing over these distances and with even luck he is the one to beat. He'll get every shot from the draw. #8 Telecom Cheetah has given every indication that 11 furlongs suits. Strong booking of Joao Moreira bears close watching here, especially as one of three in the race for trainer Dennis Yip. #6 Winning Volatility narrowly missed last start. He's a threat in these races. #12 Passing Fashion should find the front. He'll look the winner at some stage.

 Race 4: Tsoi Tak Handicap

#4 Win Win Fighter is closing in on a first win in Hong Kong. Strong booking of Blake Shinn bears close watching as the Australian holds a very, very good record for trainer Francis Lui. #7 Joyful Genius is always around the mark without winning. He draws well and gets his chance once more. #10 Go For Tea clearly has a bit of ability. He's coming to hand with time and his pairing with Joao Moreira bears close watching. Inside gate suits. #1 Fearless Fire gets a handy claim with Jerry Chau up. Next best.

Race 5: Tsap Tseung Handicap (2nd Section)

#2 Valiant Elegance is classy on-pacer. Lyle Hewitson takes the reins again in a bid for back-to-back wins which he looks capable of achieving, especially in Class 4. #3 Happy Forever is on the improve. He's shown plenty of prowess, especially across his most recent two runs. #8 Jiangxi Stamina is after back-to-back wins. He gets in light and deserves plenty of respect after his easy effort last start. #4 Perfect Peach only needs to offset the gate to be a factor here. Strong booking of Karis Teetan.

Race 6: Tsap Tseung Handicap (1st Section)

#8 Hercules narrowly missed last start. He's in superb form and it wouldn't shock to see him go one better here. Inside gate suits, as does the booking of Karis Teetan. #9 Bella Baby is a classy operator in his spot. He's returned to a competitive mark and the light weight is ideal for this contest. #1 Xponential is always thereabouts. Once again he rates as a leading player, especially from gate one which should give him the saloon passage throughout. #2 Flaming Eagle is better than his last-start effort suggests. Keep safe.

 Race 7: Min Fat Handicap

#1 Rewarding Together is in close to career-best form. He's looking for a third win from his last four starts and from the front, he could take a power of catching. #10 Lyrical Motion closed nicely for fourth last start. He's on the improve and shapes as a leading player with further development under his belt. #5 Star Brite battled for a first win last time out. Expect he's held his condition and if so, he should be in the finish. #6 California Redwood has the talent. Joao Moreira hops up and he'll get his chance.

 Race 8: Shing Ping Handicap

#4 Crossford has had excuses of late, tracking wide at times and still running well. He pairs favourably with Zac Purton here and his best can overcome this field. #8 Viva Hunter is looking to snap three consecutive runner-up efforts. He's racing well and should be able to hit the mark once more. #11 Happy Daily has a bit of class. Suspect he can make use of the light impost against this group, even if he has struggled in the grade previously. #7 Copartner Fionn is lightly raced but on the up. Keep safe.

 Race 9: Cheong Ming Handicap

#1 Nervous Witness is progressing well, albeit slightly slower than anticipated. Still, he should be able to roll forward and run this group into the ground, especially from gate three with Blake Shinn sticking aboard. #8 Stoltz went toe-to-toe with Nervous Witness last start. Expect these two can do the same again in a hot finale. #2 Voyage Warrior has the class. He's a Group 2 winner so, racing in this grade is a sharp dip. Don't be surprised if he challenges this lot. #3 Grateful Heart is next best.
