Glorious Days, trained by John Size, has finished unplaced in two previous Yasuda Kinen attempts in 2012 and 2013.

The six-year-old, winner of the Longines Hong Kong Mile this season, left the quarantine stables at the JRA Horseracing School to travel to Tokyo racecourse shortly before noon on Monday.

Prior to his departure he did a piece of fast work at the Horseracing School, cantering for 1400m and then galloping 800m on the dirt course.

He clocked 40.2 seconds for 600m, with the final 200m timed at 11.9 seconds.

On Tuesday morning, Glorious Days trotted for a quarter of a lap and cantered for a lap and three-quarters on the dirt track at Tokyo racecourse.

John Size was expected to arrive in Tokyo late on Tuesday with Glorious Days scheduled to do his final piece of fast work on Thursday.

His jockey Joao Moreira will arrive on Friday.
