Zac Purton and Nash Rawiller each tasted success in Japan over the weekend.
Zac Purton continued his fine form this season with three winners and two minor placings from eight rides over two days at Chukyo.
Racing on both Saturday and Sunday, Purton rode one winner on Saturday while a race to race double followed on the Sunday.
Purton’s latest riding stint in Japan though has been cut short through a niggling injury to his heel.
The Hong Kong jockey premiership winner will return to Australia for a brief period of recuperation before returning to defend his title next season which commences in September.
With just four rides over the weekend at Hakodate, Nash Rawiller recorded one win and a second in the Group 3 Hakodate Kinen (2000m) aboard Dark Shadow.
