Zac Purton represented Hong Kong while James McDonald was the representative for Oceania in the World Super Jockey’s Series held in Tokyo over the weekend.

Both riders got off to solid starts with Purton finishing third in the Excellent Jockey’s Trophy (1600m) aboard Sundarbans with James McDonald running fourth on Kapiolani Palace.

The pair made little impression in the remaining three legs - the Fantastic Jockey’s Trophy, the Marvelous Jockey’s Trophy and the Prominent Jockey’s Trophy.

Purton won the 2012 running of the Super Jockey’s Series.
