Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Juvenile maidens in the opener with all but one having raced before. (4) HERE I AM will start the hot favourite having improved to 2nd place in a quick time at start number two on September 3rd when racing handy throughout. He draws well here and should prove too strong. (10) HWASANGWIHWA similarly improved last time out at what for him was start three in which he raced around in 2nd position all the way. The time was good, and a repeat will put him in the finish again. (9) SMART CLAIR has run fairly across three starts so far. She has been a touch one-paced but if he can settle midfield, he should pass a few late to take some money. (7) BAEDARI HYANGGI and (5) SMART CAT others in the minor money frame.

Selections (4) Here I Am (10) Hwasangwihwa (9) Smart Clair (7) Baedari Hyanggi

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Two standouts here. (10) GRAND SILVER gets the nod with steady improvement in recent outings culminating in a runner-up finish at this distance on September 10th when handy all the way. He won't need to improve much here to win this. (1) HEUIMANGUI CHANGA came from off the pace to run an improved 3rd over 1300M on September 17th. He has looked like he may appreciate a touch further and today he gets the chance to show it and is the main danger. (7) HEY MAMA beat Grand Silver two starts back and then beat three of the others who go here when repeating that finish on September 2nd over this distance. She'll be on pace here and should be there or thereabouts again. (11) GEOMOON and (2) SANGIM DAEPYO among others in the placing hunt.

Selections (10) Grand Silver (1) Heuimangui Changa (7) Hey Mama (11) Geomoon

Busan Race 1: Class (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Juvenile maidens in the opener on the south coast with all but two having raced before and it's a tricky puzzle. As a result, we'll take a chance on the solitary first timer. That's (2) WORLD DRAGON who looked good when making all to cross the line first by a big margin in a decent time in a late-August trial. He draws nicely to lead on debut and can put in a bold first up showing. (7) BLACK SPRING ran 2nd in a quick time over 1000M on debut in July before finishing last in the Rookie Stakes on August 27th. His time wasn't bad though and coming back into more amenable company, he can be given another chance. (3) BEOLMAUI MONSTER came from off the pace to run 2nd over 1000M on debut on September 1st. He was well beaten by a good winner, but he should have benefitted from the experience and the extra furlong can suit. (9) STRIDING MAN and (5) MACH MAN among plenty of others with the possibility of improvement.

Selections (2) World Dragon (7) Black Spring (3) Beolmaui Monster (9) Striding Man

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Having won a trial, (4) BRAVO PLAY was sent off as favourite on debut over 1000M on August 19th. He raced handy throughout, briefly touching the front in the straight but ultimately finished a close 3rd. He should have derived benefit from that experience and with some natural improvement, he looks the one to beat here. Both (5) GEOLJAK ONE and (2) MAGIC STRONG had poor days at the office when they came home 8th and 9th respectively when racing one another over this distance on August 27th. Both had shown ability prior, especially Geoljak One, who has a 2nd and a 3rd among four starts and the pair look to be the biggest dangers here. (6) STORM GUY did nothing on debut but has since been back to trial and looked well so could improve. (8) HAMPYEONG JANGMI another in the minor money frame.

Selections (4) Bravo Play (5) Geoljak One (2) Magic Strong (6) Storm Guy

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1600M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(3) GOOD DADDY was unfancied on debut over 1200M and having come out of the widest gate, it looked as though that pessimism was justified as he sat at the back of the twelve-runner field and did little. Then came the closing stages where he made up excellent ground and finished 5th. He should improve for the run and the early step up to a mile could be very much in his favour in this very weak maiden. (4) COLONEL FLYING ran 2nd in August and then beat plenty of these when 3rd over 1400M on September 10th. We'll need to draw a line through his latest on September 24th, but his prior form was superior to the rest here and he can be given another chance. He's not alone in needing forgiveness for his most recent outing. (2) SINHAN GAMBLE was well back in the same race but his 5th at the start before is enough to make him a money chance here. Likewise (7) ROCKS and (8) TOMYRIS have had minor money finishes and could repeat.

Selections (3) Good Daddy (4) Colonel Flying (2) Sinhan Gamble (7) Rocks

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Competitive race. (4) V QUEEN enters with recent form reading well with a 4th and a 3rd from her latest two, most recently at class and distance on September 10th when she settled right back and ran on well. She draws nicely here, she remains lightly weighted, and she has as good a chance as any. She has though won just one from thirty-three. (1) MR QUALITY may be yet to win at all, but he has proved competitive at this class in his latest two. He likes to get on pace and from a good draw he can lead and be in this a long way. (6) FINE DAY is another maiden but comes up in class here after too many near-misses at class 6. She comes down in weight and should be prominent here. (2) GEOSEN CHAMP and (8) BEST SUNSHINE among other placing chances.

Selections (4) V Queen (1) Mr Quality (6) Fine Day (2) Geosen Champ

Busan Race 3: Class 5 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(2) DOCTOR NEXT has a 3rd and a 2nd in two tries at this level, both over this distance and both times beating rivals he faces today. In the first of those he sat handy and ran on while last time out on September 17th, he went right back and finished strongly. He carries his fair share of weight again but could have too much. (1) NAMYANG BOLT has been a model of consistency in four starts since getting promoted to this level and comes in off three consecutive placings most recently over a mile on September 1st when settling midfield and running on. An apprentice claim brings him down in the weights and the step up to two turns can suit. (6) DOCTOR WICKY had a poor day at the office when weakening over a mile having led on his first try at this level on September 8th. He had previously made all over that distance and while he comes up even further today, he warrants another opportunity. (9) STREET ROCK and (11) SUCCESS BATTLE others to keep safe.

Selections (2) Doctor Next (1) Namyang Bolt (6) Doctor Wicky (9) Street Rock

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(2) ZIGGURAT got his maiden win at start number three on what was his first try at this class and at 1200M on September 2nd when he settled midfield and ran on strongly. He comes up a full 4kg in the weights but that shouldn't prove a problem and his closing speed should be too much for this field. (8) WONPYEONG LIST comes up in class following a maiden win at start four over this distance on September 3rd. The time he recorded that day was faster than anything else has managed for the 1200M and he should measure up. Also up in class is (4) MIRACLE HANGANG. Like Ziggurat, he was winless at class 6 but has shown good speed in his two 2nd place finishes and one 3rd. They were all at 1000M so he is up in trip too, but he should be on the speed and can be competitive. (9) ICE CREAM and (6) AL SIMON others in the frame.

Selections (2) Ziggurat (8) Wonpyeong List (4) Miracle Hangang (9) Ice Cream

Busan Race 4: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(5) GREAT WINNER won his first two races at 1000M and 1200M with front-running performances before finishing 3rd in the Busan Rookie Stakes on August 27th. He might have been expected to line up in the Areumdaun Jilju Stakes later today where even 3rd place would be worth almost as much as winning this but that he is sent here instead, suggests confidence and he is hard to oppose. (1) SEUNGNIUIYEONGUNG is yet to finish any worse than 3rd from five attempts with his win coming at this distance at class 5 level two outings back. He was an on-pace 3rd on his first try at this class over a mile, and he is the main danger. (11) DAMYANGUISIN too comes back in trip after a front-running 2nd over a mile and he may offer some interest at what should be an each-way price. (2) HAENGBOKHAN HAMAN and (7) WONDERFUL ANDOVER are place chances.

Selections (5) Great Winner (1) Seungniuiyeongung (11) Damyanguisin (2) Haengbokan Haman

Seoul Race 6: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(7) ULTRA SOCKS a 4th and a 9th in two starts since being promoted to this class but in that latter finish, the margins were not big, and she showed on pace. She has by far the fastest time among these for the distance, recorded in a super win back in April (albeit when the track was racing very quick) and with Moon Se-young aboard today, she can lead and potentially go all the way. (2) NAMSAN JUMONG was a last start class and distance winner on September 3rd, breaking through at start nine. He comes up 2.5kg in the weights but that's balanced by a good draw, and he can go close here. (10) APEX is up in class following a good win over this distance on August 6th when settling midfield and running on. She is nicely weighted and given she won from gat eleven, the wide draw is of no concern. (6) CHEON GUN and (3) GO GO STAR are others to keep safe.

Selections (7) Ultra Socks (2) Namsan Jumong (10) Apex (6) Cheon Gun

Busan Race 5: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

Fillies (and one mare) only here. (5) BREAD HIT has a 3rd, a win, and a runner-up finish from her latest three, all at this class and distance. An apprentice keeps her weight nice and low here and from a good draw she can break well, get to the front, and potentially lead all the way. (1) MIRACLE ONE got rapidly promoted to this class with back-to-back wins in May and June and has finished 4th in both tries at this level. She continues under a light weight here and can go close. (6) OCEAN STORM enters having run 2nd at class and distance on September 3rd. She comes up 3.5kg in the weights but should be in the mix again. The up in class (4) MOTHER MOUNTAIN, along with (7) ACE FIGHTING, are others in the frame in a competitive race.

Selections (5) Bread Hit (1) Miracle One (6) Ocean Storm (4) Mother Mountain

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(7) HWANGOO CHOEGANG will be favourite here based on his last start class and distance 3rd on September 3rd when he raced prominently throughout, stopping the clock in a time quicker than an of today's rivals have managed for the mile. He remains under a very light weight and from a good draw can be on or close the pace again and will take some beating. (1) NONSTOP THUNDER was 4th behind Hwangoo Choegang on September 3rd, continuing a consistent run of results. He has four-lengths to make up on the favourite but has the plum inside gate for the distance and can get closer. (9) GEUMBIT CHEONHA come up in class and in distance having won over 1400M last time out. He likes to race on pace and can be competitive. (6) SUPER ECTON and (10) SISEONJIPJUNG other place chances.

Selections (7) Hwangoo Choegang (1) Nonstop Thunder (9) Geumbit Cheonha (6) Super Ecton

Busan Race 6: Class Open (1200M) Special Weight A / Areumdaun Jilju Stakes (Listed) / KRW 200 Million

Busan's Juvenile Series first leg and (2) BAEKDUUI KKUM will be the hot favourite. She won the Busan Rookie Stakes by a full four-lengths going away in a quick time and from a great draw, she should be able to account for this small field of rivals. (1) YEONGGWANGUI GLORY comes in having won both his starts to date at 1000M and 1200M both times pretty much making all. He will be on o close to the pace and can be in this a long way. (3) CONTROLLER got his maiden win at this distance in August before finishing 2nd over 1400M at class 5 level a month ago. He will be running on here and looks a place chance. (6) DOCTOR KINGDOM was runner up in the Rookie Stakes having come from off the pace after an ordinary start. His win came at 1300M leading for most of the way so it is possible he may be ridden further forward here and could get closer. (5) LEMON PIE is one for one and still an unknown quantity.

Seoul Race 8: Class Open (1200M) Special Weight A / Munhwa Ilbo Trophy (Listed) / KRW 200 Million

Seoul's Juvenile Series Opener. (9) LALA K got badly hampered at the start of the Rookie Stakes in August before producing an astonishingly quick stretch run to win going away. On debut he had raced on pace and pulled away late on. He probably won't need to come from behind this time, ideally sitting just behind the lead, and his late speed should account for his rivals here. (11) ECLIPSE BERRY was 3rd in the Rookie Stakes having overcome the same gate she draws today to sit handy. She can go close again. (10) NICE TIME is, along with Lala K, the only unbeaten runner here. His two wins have been at 1000M at 1200M, settling behind the speed both times and accelerating late. He can be competitive. (3) HANGANG CROWN was favourite for the Rookie Stakes but after looking promising early, quickly faded and ultimately crossed the line last. He gets another chance today. (2) VINCERO CAVALLO got his maiden win last time out in a time that was equal to the winning time in the Rookie Stakes and is another to consider.

Selections (9) Lala K (11) Eclipse Berry (10) Nice Time (3) Hangang Crown

Busan Race 7: Class 2 (2000M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

(7) LANE KILLER has been a beaten favourite in both his latest starts, both at 1800M. That said he has run badly in neither and he continues to be nicely in the handicap here. He has been racing on pace and stepped up to the 2000M for the first time, he can be backed to return to winning ways here. (10) CLEAN SHOT beat three of these on his way to 3rd place over 1800M on September 3rd. He likes to settle back and run on so the wide draw is no problem and while he does mix his form, he should be running on strong late on. (3) STAR MATTA comes up in class following recent near misses over 1800M. He comes down a full 5kg in the weights, and that can be enough to bring him into contention. (9) B. J. CHIEF and (6) DAEJI CHOICE are others to consider.

Selections (7) Lane Killer (10) Clean Shot (3) Star Matta (9) B. J. Chief

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Competitive race. (11) CHALLANHAN BULKKOT took a while to figure things out but has moved up rapidly two classes in her last three races with a win at class 6 followed by two runner-up finishes at class 5 most recently at this distance on August 5th when leading for most of the way. She comes in fresh following nine weeks off and under a light weight, she may measure up. (2) TOUCH NINE beat three of these on his way to 2nd place at class and distance on September 3rd when settling back and running on. He comes up 2.5kg in the weights but that's balanced by a better gate, and going even better is a possibility. (10) HIDDEN BLADE was 5th in that September 3rd race. She has placed at class and distance and shouldn't be far away again. (9) BLACK GUN was further back in that race but has proven himself at this level and can be considered. (4) FINAL CHUKJE struggled on his first try at this class but is another who warrants another chance.

Selections (11) Challanhan Bulkkot (2) Touch Nine (10) Hidden Blade (9) Black Gun

Seoul Race 10: Class 1 (2300M) Handicap / KRW 110 Million

A rare race over the Grand Prix Stakes distance. After seven months off, (8) GOOD PILSEUNG hasn't exactly been handed the easiest of starts to his latest preparation with a 5th place in the Busan Owners' Cup followed by an also-ran showing in the international Korea Sprint. This looks a far more suitable assignment as he had been proving himself capable at distance and under a very light weight here and with Moon Se-young aboard, he may well be the one to beat. (11) DORAON POPEYE beat most of these when winning at this distance in July when handy throughout and out-grinding the rest in the closing stages. He struggled to find position from a wide draw in his latest over 1800M in September but despite having the widest gate here, this time he has the entire straight to find position and a repeat of that win can't be ruled out. (3) CHIEF INDY had an ordinary summer but looked well in a September trial and has plenty of quality about him. (9) JEONGMUN SAI and (1) CUPID BABE others with chances.

Selections (8) Good Pilseung (11) Doraon Popeye (3) Chief Indy (9) Jeongmun Sai
