Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Juvenile maidens in the opener and there will be a hot favourite. That's (3) HERE I AM who after an ordinary debut has registered a 2nd and a 4th in two subsequent starts, both over this trip, and both times racing on pace. He has the fastest time of any of these at the distance and from a good draw, he should have too much here. The second quickest time belongs to (10) GEOLJAK EUTTEUM. That was recorded on his second start when coming from off the pace and finishing as runner-up, a long way behind a good winner but well clear of 3rd. He did nothing on his reappearance in October, but that 2nd is enough to give him a chance here. (1) HAKSAN DAESE has finished off both his races to date well and was 5th when stepped up to this trip. Expect him to be running on and threatening the places here. (6) LONDON VICTORY and first-time starter (8) SOLAIRE other place chances.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Fillies (and one mare) in this maiden. (8) TAEPYEONGMU shapes as a probable favourite here. She has six top-five finishes from nine starts and has posted consistent times at this distance. She likes to race on or close to the pace, and today can be here day. (7) HAYAN TAEYANG raced twice in the spring for 6th and 4th and then returned after five months off to run 5th of nine over this distance on October 14th. She should strip fitter for that run and is potentially the danger. In a race with not much early speed, (9) GOLDEN FLYING may well find herself up with Taepyeongmu setting the pace. Her form his fair and she can be competitive. (2) CHONGAL COLONEL and (10) YEJIMONG among other minor money hopes.

Selections (8) Taepyeongmu (7) Hayan Taeyang (9) Golden Flying (2) Chongal Colonel

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(5) ACRO MARINE has made steady progress across three starts so far, culminating in a 2nd place over 1200M on October 8th when he was ridden much further forward than in his first two starts. Moon Se-young climbs aboard today and he can settle behind the early speed and prove too strong. (2) HANGANG TSAR was an improved 2nd over this distance on October 14th. He hasn't exactly set the stopwatch alight but from a nice draw he can go close again. (1) THEME TANSAENG will be expected to be on pace here and enters with a 3rd and a 4th among his latest three. A repeat of either of those performances will see him challenging for better in this company. (10) BULGEUN POKPUNG and (4) WONDERFUL REGAL among others who could make it into the minor money.

Selections (5) Acro Marine (2) Hangang Tsar (1) Theme Tansaeng (10) Bulgeun Pokpung

Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Juvenile maidens with five of the eleven racing for the first time. (6) HUIMANG CANDY will be the hot favourite.  After finishing 5th on debut, she was an improved 2nd at start number two on October 13th racing on pace and leading in the closing stages only to be narrowly beaten. She can be on pace or handy here and prove too strong. (11) OVER THE TRIPLE looks an interesting debut-maker from the Bart Rice stable. He came from well back to easily win an October trial in quick time and if he can bring that form to the races, he is a chance. (7) DOCTOR ERICA was 3rd behind Huimang Candy when debuting in that October 13th race and was on the speed throughout. With some natural improvement she can go close again. (2) POWERFUL DASH actually beat Huimang Candy on the latter's debut and along with (9) KOHINOOR is another in the hunt.

Selections (6) Huimang Candy (11) Over The Triple (7) Doctor Erica (2) Powerful Dash

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Fillies only and it's a competitive race. (1) SINUI YEOJE was a winner over 1000M at start number two in September before running 5th of eleven when favourite for her first try at this class over 1200M on October 22nd when handy throughout. She comes into a much better gate tonight so could well get a softer run to the lead and if she does, she can win. (5) GALSAEK HYANGGI enters off a 2nd and a 4th from her latest two at this class with the 2nd being at this distance. She likes to settle back and run on, and she should be a danger late here. (3) LADY CODI has similar form to Sinui Yeoje with a win over 1000M followed by a really good 4th at this class on October 14th in a similar all-filly race at 1200M. She is well drawn and should be in the mix. (10) GEOLJAK ONE and (7) SESANG APEURO the others in the hunt.

Selections (1) Sinui Yeoje (5) Galsaek Hyanggi (3) Lady Codi (10) Geoljak One

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Juvenile maidens with no fewer than eight of the eleven racing for the first time. For the on top pick though, we will side with experience. (11) HEUIMANG FLYING ran 2nd in a trial and then 3rd on debut when she came from off the pace over 1000M. The experience should stand her in good stead, the draw shouldn't be a problem, and the additional furlong can suit. (3) WIN WIN debuted fairly on October 15th, only beating a couple home but securing a decent time over 1300M. He too should have come on for that and can get closer here. Among the debut makers, (2) GWANGSOKMA and (7) WONDERFUL FEVER trialled up together on September 23rd, crossing the line 2nd and 3rd. There was a full five-lengths between them so the former will be favoured for an immediate impression, but both can go well first-up. (5) GOLDEN AIR another who hinted at ability in the second of two trials.

Selections (11) Heuimang Flying (3) Win Win (2) Gwangsokma (7) Wonderful Fever

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(2) UMAPOY comes up in class having run 2nd in both his starts so far over 1000M and 1200M, both times working home well but just failing to get up. He is down in the weights, draws nicely and the 1400M may well be exactly what he needs to make the breakthrough. (9) GANGSEO V returned to action on October 14th after four months out which included a visit to the gelders. He improved significantly, racing on pace, and winning over 1300M. He comes up in class and slightly in distance but is down in the weights and he can be a big danger here. (7) GOLDEN SNIPER is also up in class, in his case following two runner-up finishes in his latest three appearances. He comes down in weight and shouldn't be out of his depth in this company. As for those with prior class 5 experience, (11) JAEWOO SIDAE and (3) WORLD KING MAN – the latter needing to be taken on trust after a six-month absence – are perhaps best.

Selections (2) Umapoy (9) Gangseo V (7) Golden Sniper (11) Jaewoo Sidae

Busan Race 3: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(1) NUMBERONEPICK won well over 1200M at start number two on September 1st before following up with a 5th place at this class on September 22nd when he struggled to get forward from the widest gate. He draws much better this time and while he won't necessarily lead, he can sit close and will be the number one pick of most here. (3) GREAT MISS hasn't raced since February, but she had shown some ability in the past, and she looked very well when 2nd in a trial in a quick time at the end of October. If she brings that form to the races, she won't be far away. (11) BRAVE CAPTAIN will have the challenge of the widest gate but ran well for 5th at this class and distance last time and in this company can aim to better it. (2) FINAL FRONT and (7) TAEWANG SINGI are the other two with legitimate placing claims.

Selections (1) Numberonepick (3) Great Miss (11) Brave Captain (2) Final Front

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(8) RAON THE MAN was a winner on debut in July, making all over 1000M. He has since run 3rd and 5th in two starts at this class and distance posting fair times. For the most part, this looks to be softer company, and while he may not lead, he could well have too much. (11) THUNDER BLUE beat a couple of these on his way to 4th place at class and distance on October 8th. He is the only one in the field to have won over the trip and he can be in the mix again here. (5) HWANGWOO GANGJA remains a maiden but comes in off a 2nd place at class and distance on October 22nd. The same apprentice keeps his carried weight very light, and he can place again today. (9) WIDAEHAN HANMA trialled up well at the end of October and along with (1) LUCKY HONEY is another who could pick up a cheque.

Busan Race 4: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

Fillies (and one mare) only here. (4) JANGSAN DEFI will be a strong favourite. She was given a spin around in the final leg of the Triple Tiara and since then has two 4th place and a 3rd back in regular company. At class 4 against only other fillies and mares, she should be returning to the winner's circle. (7) STELL LUNA was a class and distance winner two starts back when leading all the way. She carries her fair share of weight here but shouldn't be dismissed if she can get a good start and get on pace. (10) BURUICHUKJE beat a couple of these on her way to 4th place at this class on October 8th. Third-up this preparation, she can be peaking fitness-wise and can be a danger. (8) HONOR CAL was one of those behind Buruichukje but she has placed at this class over 1200M and can be considered. (9) WORLD CLASS CAT another to keep safe.

Selections (4) Jangsan Defi (7) Stell Luna (10) Buruichukje (8) Honor Cal
Next Best 9, 3

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

Fillies only here. (1) ULTRA SOCKS comes in off a close 3rd place at class and distance on October 8th having led for much of the way around. She does come up 3kg in the weights, but she draws well to lead again, she has the fastest time among these for the distance by some margin, and this time she can go all the way. (4) MILLION PARTY won back-to-back races in May and June to get rapidly promoted to this class. She then overcame a wide draw to run 3rd on her first try at this class, again over the 1200M in July. She hasn't raced since then so comes in fresh and must be taken on trust, but she should be a danger. (8) LEGAL HIGH comes up in class after a good win on October 9th when after a slightly slow start she was quickly up to a handy position and then ran on. She carries a light weight and can be competitive. (6) GIBUNJOEUNMAL and (10) GANA FASHION others in the hunt.

Selections (1) Ultra Socks (4) Million Party (8) Legal High (6) Gibunjoeunmal

Busan Race 5: Class Open (1400M) Weight for Age / Kookje Shinmun Trophy (KOR-G3) / KRW 500 Million

The final big race of the year for the sprinters sees all the top local finishers from September's Korea Sprint re-assemble, this time going an additional furlong. (3) EOMA EOMA won this race last year, following up his victory in that year's Korea Sprint. His only win this year has come at handicap level and he could only manage 5th in his Korea Sprint defence when he was settled back. Antonio Da Silva climbs up for the first time here and this time he should be much handier, if not necessarily leading, and back up at 1400M, he can return to winning ways. (16) BEOLMAUI STAR was ridden much more aggressively by Seo Seung-un in the Korea Sprint and overcame gate thirteen to run 2nd behind Remake and well clear of Bathrat Leon in 3rd. It was a breakout performance and while 1200M does seem to be his specialty, he shouldn't be ruled out of another big run here. (6) SSONSAL won the SROA Chairman's Sprint in June, powering home late to defeat plenty of today's rivals and he should relish the opportunity to step back up to 1400M. (4) CALM STRONG was an also-ran in the Korea Sprint, but the filly was an excellent all the way winner over a mile last month and could be the wildcard. Another filly (5) GANGSEO GIANT could be an intriguing each-way prospect.

Selections (3) Eoma Eoma (16) Beolmaui Star (6) Ssonsal (4) Calm Strong

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(7) GANGPUNGMA is yet to finish worse than 4th in four starts so far that have included wins at 1200M and 1300M. The 4th was last time out on his first try at this class over a mile on October 15th when settling back and running on and back at 1400M, he has as much chance as any. Since returning from four months off in September, (3) HAWK PRINCE has a win over 1800M and a runner-up finish over 1700M. He comes up again in the weights today but that's balanced a little by a good draw and he should e in the mix. (2) NANO MASIN has produced some fast final furlong times. but the race has been over by the time he has managed to get involved. The mile may suit, and he should be available at an each-way or better price. (6) TOUCH NINE and (8) DOLGYEOK APEURO others in the frame.

Selections (7) Gangpungma (3) Hawk Prince (2) Nano Masin (6) Touch Nine
Next Best 8, 1

Busan Race 6: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Four of these raced one another at class and distance on October 15th. Among them was (11) HAPPY BLUE, who was racing for the first time since May but overcame gate nine to sit handy and finished 3rd. He has the challenge of an even wider draw here as well as coming up 1.5kg in the weights, but he may well have come on for that run and with Seo Seung-un getting on, he can win. (2) DOCTOR PHARAOH ran 2nd in that race continuing a consistent run of form. He too comes up in the weights, but he draws nicely and can be a danger again. (3) HWANGWU JANGSA got a long way back over a mile last time out and missed the top-three for the first time. This is his first try around two turns, but it may suit, and he can be given another chance. (6) ROYAL GOLD and (7) GOBLIN, both coming in off class and distance 2nd places, are others in the frame.

Selections (11) Happy Blue (2) Doctor Pharaoh (3) Hwangwu Jangsa (6) Royal Gold
Next Best 7, 8

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(6) ROCK IMPACT is marginally favoured here. A winner over this distance three starts back, he has run 4th and 3rd in two attempts at this level, both over the same distance and both times coming from a long way back. He has a super finish on him and so long as he doesn't leave himself too much to do, he is the one to beat. (10) NAOL CHEONJI showed she can be competitive at this level with a 3rd place over 1200M on October 15th. She makes a big step up in trip here, but she has shown the ability to come off the pace, and it may suit. (4) SUPER ECTON has loads of experience and while he doesn't win out of turn, this is the kind of race he can place in. (11) THUNDER HORSE and (5) ARGO GONGJU other place chances.

Selections (6) Rock Impact (10) Naol Cheonji (4) Super Ecton (11) Thunder Horse

(3) NAOL SNIPER ran 2nd in the Korean Derby back in June before finishing midfield in the Minister's Cup over 2000M and then 4th in the Listed Ilgan Sports Trophy at 1800M, all three times from wide gates. He comes into regular class 2 company here under a light weight and from a good gate, and he can return to winning ways. (4) ARGO SMILE has finished outside of the top two just the once and he comes in having won his last three, most recently over 1800M at class 3 level on October 14th when handy throughout. He comes up in class here but is down in the weights and he can measure up. (5) CHOEGANG BLADE comes up in trip following a solid 3rd place over 1200M on his first try at this level on October 15th and he can be a threat. (7) LAST PUNCH and (1) BEST LUCKY others to keep safe.

Seoul Race 11: Class 2 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

Competitive finale. It's about time (9) RAON FOREST returned to the winner's circle. She recorded two 2nd places and a 3rd in the three legs of the Triple Tiara and most recently finished 5th in a trophy race over 1400M on September 9th. The mile can suit. (1) DAEMUL returned to action in that September 9th race for the first time since April and ran 2nd. He should strip fitter for that run and from the plum inside gate can be on pace and be a big danger. (6) WOLF PLAY was a winner over this distance at class 3 level on October 7th, leading from gate to wire. He comes up in class but is down a full 4.5kg in the weights and can measure up. (10) LEEWOLMA was an all the way winner at this class over 1400M on September 23rd in a quick time. He comes up 4.5kg and has the challenge of the widest gate, but he shouldn't be far away. (7) WONDERFUL KITTY another in the placing hunt.
