Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Juvenile maiden fillies with six of the twelve racing for the first time. (7) CHEONMAPYEONGJEONG will be the one to beat, having led for much of the way on her debut on October 21st, ultimately finishing 3rd over 1000M in a fair time. She should have derived benefit from the experience and this time she can go all the way. It took two goes for (6) ROYAL PLUS to qualify but she did it nicely the second time around, sitting handy and running on well. If she brings that for to the races, she can go well first-up. (1) BEAUTYWONDERFUL ran 4th on debut over 1000M on October 7th. He time was marginally faster than the one the favourite achieved on her debut, and she can be taken seriously here. Returning to the first-time starters, (12) BEOLGYOWISU and (5) GOOD FIGHTER are others who hinted at ability in their heats.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Juvenile maidens with al but two having raced before. (2) HERO CHAMP has raced three times already and has two 3rd place finishes including most recently at this distance on October 15th when settling behind the speed and running on. He draws nicely here and today can be his day. The probably favourite is (1) CITY KING. After a positive trial, he ran well for 4th on debut on October 14th, racing handy throughout. He should have come on for that run, he should be on pace, and he has solid claims here. It would be a surprise if that pair didn't fill out the quinella as the exposed form weakens. (10) SEOCHEON LION is the only other one with experience to have shown ability with a 4th and two 5th places from three starts. He should be there or thereabouts again. Debut-makers (11) SPINNING BOOM and (3) SUMMER PARTY therefore warrant some consideration although in the latter's case it is more for the jockey booking than the trial performance.

Selections (2) Hero Champ (1) City King (10) Seocheon Lion (11) Spinning Boom

Seoul Race 3: Class 4 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million

Class 4 for juveniles which means imports and six of the ten are racing for the first time. They include (5) YEONGUNG BUHWAL, who went through two trials, finishing a close 2nd in the first and then winning the second on September 8th having led all the way and stopping the clock in a quick time. It has taken him a couple of months to get to the races, but he looks to have ability and will be well backed first up. If you prefer experience, then (1) HERO FIGHTER is the one. He has raced three times already and has a win to his name over 1000M in August when he made all. He weakened late on when trying this distance for the first time on September 23rd but should have benefitted from the experience and should be on pace again and in this a long way. (4) MONTAUK CHAT was a trial winner before running a fair 5th of nine on debut in a quick race over 1000M on October 21st. With some natural improvement, he can be in the finish here. Returning to the debut makers, (2) EAST JUMP and (6) DANCING WHIZ are others who showed well in trials.

Selections (5) Yeongung Buhwal (1) Hero Fighter (4) Montauk Chat (2) East Jump

Seoul Race 4: Class 4 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 75 Million

More imported juveniles, this time all maidens and with eight of the eleven racing for the first time. (9) ECLAIRFURY is probably the pick. She was ordinary in her first trial but fairly bolted up in another on October 6th when settling midfield and then running away from the field in the straight, stopping the clock in a quick time. The 1200M should suit first up and she may take some beating. (4) TAEKHAN also went through two trials, similarly improving in the second of then on October 27th when an on-pace runner-up in a good time. He draws well to be on pace and should be in the mix. (8) BULTANEUN SIMJANG was a close at hand 3rd in the same trial (also trialling up for the second time and improving) and he too warrants consideration here. (10) NONSTOP DREAM was a trial winner before running 4th on debut over 1000M in a fast race on October 21st. He can match or better that here. (7) MAGIC POTION another first timer in the hunt.

Selections (9) Eclairfury (4) Taekhan (8) Bultaneun Simjang (10) Nonstop Dream

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Tricky race. (2) SSANG OK RU returned from four months out to win 3rd over 1400M on October 21st having shown on pace throughout. H should strip fitter for that run, and he comes back up to a distance at which he got his solitary victory to date. In a race without much speed, he can be on pace and can win. (7) GREEN FEELSTAR has won just once in twenty-seven appearances, but she has finished between 2nd and 5th on no fewer than fifteen occasions and enters off the back of two 3rd place finishes at class and distance. She may not be a winning chance here, but she won't be far away. (10) BUL HWASAN has the fastest time among these for the 1700M. He came from off the pace to run 2nd last time out and the wide draw won't be a problem here. (5) REAL PACK and (3) HANGANG SKY others in the frame.

Selections (2) Ssang Ok Ru (7) Green Feelstar (10) Bul Hwasan (5) Real Pack

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(1) RAON THE FANTA will be hot favourite here. After getting her maiden win at start number two over 1000M in September, she stepped up to this class and distance on October 14th ad while racing on pace, she was somewhat surprisingly beaten into 2nd. From the inside gate, she will be on pace again and this time should make no mistake. The second favourite will be (4) J S ROAD. He led all the way for a facile win on debut over this distance before trying to repeat the trick over 1300M on October 7th only to lose concentration in the final furlong. Seo Seung-un, in town to ride Winner's Man in Sunday's President's Cup, gets the call up and better will be expected today. (8) MORNING BOLD comes in off a smart 3rd place at class and distance on October 21st and shouldn't be far away. (11) SPRING WATER, and the returning (9) TIFFANY BLUE, are others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

It's fair to say (3) EUNPA MOUNTAIN doesn't win out of turn, but he is a reliable and ultra-consistent type who has placed in each of his last four outings, all at this class and distance. He has the fastest time among these for the 1300M (perhaps not surprising given how many attempts he has had at it) and from a good draw, he can be on pace and in this a long way. (2) GLOBAL MAGIC is a similar type with just the one win but a plethora of placings on his record. He comes in off a strong 3rd over 1400M and should be in the mix here. (11) ENDING FIRE is an import who had to start at this class. He has raced just four times but has shown potential with two 3rd place finishes at 1200M and a solid 4th at 1400M. His times have been competitive, and he has a strong finish so the wide draw shouldn't be a problem. (9) GOOD HAPPY and (6) TROT QUEEN others in the placing frame.

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(9) PANORAMA KING has a 3rd place, and two runner-up finishes from three starts so far, two over 1000M and one at 1200M and all at this class. He has done it in varying styles, both from the front and emerging from midfield and coming up to 1300M this time, he should have too much, probably leading all the way. (8) TEN BAGGER is much more experienced and enters with recent form reading well including a last start class and distance 4th. He likes to settle back and run on, and he can be a danger late here. (6) MONEY CROWN won on debut at this class over 1200M in September before having a tough time when drawn wide and never featuring over 1400M on October 28th. He draws a bit better here and is worth another chance. (3) ALEXANDER ONE and (7) SAEPARANG others in at least the placing frame.

Selections (9) Panorama King (8) Ten Bagger (6) Money Crown (3) Alexander One

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Competitive race. (6) TIZ INDY comes up in class having come from off the pace to win over this distance on October 14th. This is undoubtedly a harder ask, but she comes down in the weights and can measure up in this company. (11) QUEEN TOP is up rapidly in class having won her latest two in fine fashion over 1300M. She has come from off the pace both times so neither the step up in trip of the wide draw should be a problem and under a very light weight, a hat-trick isn't impossible. (3) GEUMSEONG SIDAE had a hard time over a mile last time out, showing at the front heading into the straight but weakening. He was a good winner at this distance at class 5 level two starts back and can be given another chance here. (9) LUCKY BOUNCE and (10) TOP CLASS among plenty of others with at least placing claims.

Selections (6) Tiz Indy (11) Queen Top (3) Geumseong Sidae (9) Lucky Bounce

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

A few of these raced one another at class and distance on October 22nd. (7) CONCORDE SPURT was sent off as favourite that day and duly led up until the closing stages when he was passed by Mighty Good, but he held on for a fair 2nd. He also beat plenty of these when winning two starts back and he will be the one to beat here again. (6) MUNHAK TAPIT was 2nd to Concorde Spurt in September and then 4th in that October 22nd race. He is an ultra-consistent type and while he has only won the once, he should be in the mix again today. Among those who didn't go in that October race, (2) JEONGSANG Z has won at class and distance and enters off a smart 3rd over a mile. She is nicely weighted here and can be a danger. (1) TAPDOWN and (5) SAENAE TOWN others in the frame.

Selections (7) Concorde Spurt (6) Munhak Tapit (2) Jeongsang Z (1) Tapdown

Seoul Race 11: Class 2 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

Ultra-competitive finale in which only one of the eleven failed to finish inside the top four in their respective latest starts. We'll take a chance on the up in class (9) HANGANG ACE, a winner of five from eight so far including his latest three, all at this distance. He likes to sit handy and finish strongly and he has already run times that would be competitive at this class. (4) MIGHTY LOOK may be the betting favourite based on his 3rd place in a valuable trophy race on international weekend and then his last start victory at class and distance on October 15th. He comes up 2.5kg in the weights but draws very well and has a big chance again. (3) TROTTING RILEY was a close 2nd to Mighty Look in that race. He'll be on pace here and once more in it a long way. (8) DOKKI BULPAE and (6) NEMO PRINCESS among plenty of others in the hunt.

Selections (9) Hangang Ace (4) Mighty Look (3) Trotting Riley (8) Dokki Bulpae
