Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Picture: Racing and Sports

Juvenile maidens with four of the twelve racing for the first time. (11) BIG WILD is the most promising of the newcomers. He ran on pleasingly in his trial finishing 2nd in a good time, albeit seven-lengths behind Have A Good Day, who won last weekend. He draws wide but the 1300M may suit first up and he can win. (4) UNJU TOP ran well for 4th on debut over 1000M on October 6th. He should have come on for the run and from a good gate he can sit on or close to the speed and can go closer this time over the extended trip. Expect him to be the betting favourite. (10) WORLD WINNERS MAN was totally unfancied on debut over 1200M on October 20th but beat a couple of these on his way to a creditable 5th. Debut-makers (12) VOLCANO GRIT and (2) BEOLMAUI ACE are other possibles having both hinted at ability in trials.

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Competitive maiden. (4) WONDERFUL CHEROKEE has raced twice for a 2nd and a 3rd, both at 1200M and both times racing on pace. He draws nicely here for a soft run to the lead and while he like most of these he tackles the seven-furlongs for the first time, he can win. (9) ROAD TO TOP also has a 2nd place on his record, recorded at start number two in August when slowly away but running on. He followed it up with 4th place at 1300M on October 15th and the additional half furlong may be exactly what he needs to make the breakthrough. That will mean overturning the form on (5) CHRYSOL SIERRA, who was 3rd in that October 15th race. That was just his second start and was a marked improvement form his debut showing. He too has been doing his best work late on and the 1400M can suit. (7) SPRIT FIGHTER and (1) MAX THE CAT among plenty of others in the placing frame.

Selections (4) Wonderful Cherokee (9) Road To Top (5) Chrysol Sierra (7) Sprit Fighter

Busan Race 3: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(10) SKY JILJU enters off a 2nd and a 3rd from his latest two, most recently over 1400M when racing handy throughout. He draws a touch wider than ideal but with a bit of luck at the start, he can find a position on or close to the pace and he can win. (11) LIGHT BROWN ran 3rd behind Sky Jilju in September before repeating that finish again over this distance on October 27th. He gets an even worse draw, but he can follow Sky Jilju across to sit behind the speed and then run on. (4) YEONGGWANGUITOUCH is yet to win in eleven tries but enters with recent form reading well. He has posted some good times at this trip and from a good draw, he has every chance of going close here. (5) GUKDAE HERO and (6) WIND MAGIC are others in the hunt.

Selections (10) Sky Jilju (11) Light Brown (4) Yeonggwanguitouch (5) Gukdae Hero

Busan Race 4: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(1) HWANG YO is yet to win in five attempts but has never been worse than 4th and he already has a runner-up finish to his name at this class and distance, two starts back, when racing on pace. He comes into a better gate than the one he had when 4th last time out at 1300M and from the inside gate, he can get a soft run to the front. He will be a short-priced favourite to score. (8) GANGSEO BULPAE is similarly winless but comes up in class following two runner-up finishes and one 3rd at class 6 level at 1200M and 1400M. She likes to race on pace, she comes down in the weights, and she can measure up in this company. (3) BEST CHAMP has raced three times with a good win over 1300M sandwiched between two plainer efforts when she has been too far back. She comes into a much better gate today and can be given another chance. The up in class (9) MASTER YODA, along with (4) DIABLO QUEEN are others to keep safe.

Selections (1) Hwang Yo (8) Gangseo Bulpae (3) Best Champ (9) Master Yoda

Busan Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(10) SEVEN DRAGON comes up in class following a maiden win at start number three over 1200M on October 27th when making all and crossing the line eight-lengths to the good in a quick time. He doesn't drop in the weights, and he draws a touch wider than ideal, but the manner of that win suggests that he has every chance of backing straight up here. (7) YONGSAN KEUNBYEUL was a good winner over 1200M in August and has been feeling his way into this class with a 5th and a 4th in his latest two. He goes best on pace and with a good start can be in the mix here. (2) HERO J is still winless after seven attempts but has five top-three finishes. He likes to settle back and then run on and he looks nicely in here on a place line again. (6) MAGIC SWEETIE and (11) BACKTOTHECHAMPION others in the hunt.

Selections (10) Seven Dragon (7) Yongsan Keunbyeul (2) Hero J (6) Magic Sweetie

Busan Race 6: Class 5 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(1) BUGYEONG LION is yet to win after five attempts but has three runner-up finishes to his name including his latest on October 29th over 1400M which was his first attempt at this class. He has proven himself able to come from off the pace, so the step up to a mile can suit, and today could be his day. (5) HANEUL BULPAE comes in having made all to win over 1400M on October 6th. He comes up in class and in distance today, but the manner of that victory suggests there is more in the tank, and he should be on pace and in the finish again. (6) DOCTOR NEXT comes back in trip after recent work at 1800M which included two placings from his last three. His latest effort wasn't anything special, but his victory came over the mile and he should be a factor. (4) SEOGWI CHUKJE and the modestly named (7) THE BEST EVER are other chances.

Selections (1) Bugyeong Lion (5) Haneul Bulpae (6) Doctor Next (4) Seogwi Chukje

Busan Race 7: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(6) ZETTA DREAM is a winner of three from seven and has never finished any worse than 4th. He was the best of plenty of these who tackled class and distance on October 29th when as favourite, he finished a front-running 3rd. He carries the same weight today and this time can go one better. (3) FUSAICHI gets a bit far back in his races, but he does run on. It hasn't quite come off for him in his latest two, but he has run well enough for 3rd and 5th, most recently in the October 29th race behind Zetta Dream. He is nicely weighted and will be coming on strong late again. (9) DOCTOR PERO has nine to-four finishes from eleven starts including his last start 2nd to Zetta Dream back on September 22nd. He may not be able to overturn that, although he does get a swing in the weights in his favour, but he should be able to hold out most of the rest. Up in class last start winner (11) FANTASTIC TIME along with (10) ROAD TO QUEEN are others who can enter the calculations.

Selections (6) Zetta Dream (3) Fusaichi (9) Doctor Pero (11) Fantastic Time

Busan Race 8: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Good looking race. (2) GEUMA DISTINCTION comes up in class having won two of three starts so far, most recently over this distance on October 29th when on pace all the way. He comes down in the weights and is nicely drawn and he can make it three in a row here. The big danger is (4) HONOR LORD. He was a super winner at class and distance making all two starts back on September 17th. He got off to a bad start and got a long way back on his re-appearance on October 27th although he ran on well enough for 4th. Franco has won on him twice and climbs back aboard today and with a better start, he will be close. (6) YEONGGWANGUI GLORY won his first two starts in quick times over 1000M and 1200M before having a hard time in the Listed Areumdaun Jilju Stakes for juveniles. Coming back into regular company here he finds himself under a light weight and he can measure up. (1) FOR THE GOODTIME and (7) RISE THE THRONE, both up in class after last start wins complete the set of principal chances.

Selections (2) Geuma Distinction (4) Honor Lord (6) Yeonggwangui Glory (1) For The Goodtime

Busan Race 9: Class 3 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(7) GRAPHENE RAP WORLD comes in off back-to-back runner-up finishes in two starts at this class, beating a fair few of these along the way. She comes up a couple of kilos in the weights but that shouldn't be a problem and she has run some super times at this distance. She should have too much here. Speaking of super times, (11) GOLDEN doesn't know how to run slow. He doesn't win out of turn, but the veteran has a very smart finish on him and under a low weight, the widest gate should be no problem at all. He'll be an each-way price. (2) BREAD HIT comes up in class following a good win over this distance on October 9th when on pace throughout and down in the weights and from a good gate, he can be a danger again. (1) NAMDO QUEEN was a touch disappointing back in the pack behind Graphene Rap World last time out but her form going into that race was good and she can be given another chance here. (5) CHOICE RUN another in the hunt.

Selections (7) Graphene Rap World (11) Golden (2) Bread Hit (1) Namdo Queen
