Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Juvenile maidens in the opener with all but one having raced at least once before. (8) YONGAM MARENGO has the fastest time among these for the distance, recorded when 3rd on October 29th when coming from well off the pace and he shapes to be a hot favourite. (10) BLACK BELT dead-heated for 3rd place on debut over 1000M in July before following up with a standalone 3rd at this distance on October 28th when coming from well off the pace. He has proven able to finish off his races well so the wide draw isn't a problem, and he can be a danger. (12) LUCKY PARTY has raced three times and has never been worse than 4th. He was sent off as favourite on his latest over 1300M on October 22nd, leading for most of the way before ultimately coming home 3rd. He has the challenge of the widest gate here but could well be market leader again (2) GALSAEK DOJEONJA and (1) CHEONHAENGCHAT others in the frame.

Selections (8) Yongam Marengo (10) Black Belt (12) Lucky Party (2) Galsaek Dojeonja

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

More juvenile maidens. (4) STUNNING SKY wasn't fancied at all on debut, but nobody told him that as he pulled off a very solid runner-up finish over this distance having sat handy and then briefly led in the straight stopping the clock in a time for the distance faster than any of the others here have managed. He should have come on for the run and he can go one better today. (5) CHEONGRYANGSAN ran 3rd on debut before following up with a 2nd place at start number two over this distance three weeks ago when racing handy throughout. He should be on pace here and is a big danger. (11) DONGJIN TEUKGEUP has shown progress across three starts so far, culminating with a 3rd place at this trip on October 22nd. He came off the pace to secure that so the wide draw shouldn't be a problem and he can be doing his best work late again. (1) SEONGSIN CHEONHA and (2) ROYAL BEST didn't disgrace themselves on their respective debuts and can improve second-up.

Selections (4) Stunning Sky (5) Cheongryangsan (11) Dongjin Teukgeup (1) Seongsin Cheonha

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Decent maiden. (9) SEOUL CHOEGANGJA has made steady progress across five starts to date, culminating in a runner-up finish over this distance on October 22nd when on pace throughout and setting a time faster than any of the others here who have tackled the distance before have achieved. He should be on the early speed again, and this time can go one better. (4) BRIGHT WINNER was a much-improved 2nd at start number six over this distance on October 28th, settling just behind the speed and running on well. He draws nicely for Jo In-kwon to be able to pick his spot, probably behind the speed again, and he can run on and threaten. (5) TAENGGEURI was 4th behind Bright Winner in that October 28th race, his best finish so far. He can settle back and run on here and can go even closer. (8) SHOUT KURO and (3) WONDERFUL WELLS among others in the hunt for the minors.

Selections (9) Seoul Choegangja (4) Bright Winner (5) Taenggeuri (8) Shout Kuro

Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Juvenile maiden fillies with nine of the twelve racing for the first time. We'll side with one of those first-timers and (11) DRAGON PUNCH. He trialled up very well, settling behind the speed and running on well. He was nine-lengths behind Korea Sprint runner-up Beolmaui Star but there is nothing wrong with that and he had plenty in hand on the rest. Handily, the three with prior experience debuted together over this distance on October 20th. (2) RAINBOW ROAD was the best of them, coming home in 2nd place having settled midfield and run on, but he was only a head in front of (3) SAMAKUI KKOT, who came from well back for 3rd. It may be hard to split them again. Only another head behind Samakui Kkot was (1) TROUBLEMAKER, who defied big odds to run a strong 4th. All should have benefited from the racing experience. Returning to the first timers (8) SKY ROAD came through the same trial as Dragon Punch and didn't do much wrong positing a similarly quick time.

Selections (11) Dragon Punch (2) Rainbow Road (3) Samakui Kkot (1) Troublemaker

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Fillies only in this maiden. (5) PERFECT TIARA has a 3rd and two 4th place finishes in three starts so far, most recently when returning from three months out over 1200M on October 15th. She has raced close to the pace in her outings so far and draws very nicely to do the same here, with every chance of winning. (3) JEONGSANG HIT started her career well but seemingly lost her way slightly across the summer, but she returned to some semblance of form when 3rd over this distance in a similar all filly maiden on October 28th. That wasn't a quick race, but she previously posted a good time for this distance and from a good gate, she can be a contender here. (8) GLOBAL CHUKBAE did nothing on debut back in May, but she looked well when leading for most of the way in a trial earlier this month. She could well be a different proposition this time around.  (11) JERAQUEEN and (1) TAEPYEONG VISION others who could feature in the finish.

Selections (5) Perfect Tiara (3) Jeongsang Hit (8) Global Chukbae (11) Jeraqueen

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1600M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(1) SINHAN GAMBLE comes in off a 2nd and a 3rd on his latest two starts, both over this distance and both times beating more than one of today's rivals in the process. He likes to sit back and run on, Franco climbs aboard, and today can be his day. (10) DOCTOR LICA has raced three times for two 3rd places and a 4th. His running style has been to settle back and finish off well and the step up to a mile may well suit. (5) YEONGGWANGUIHAMSUNG was 5th behind Doctor Lica over 1400M last time out on October 29th having raced on pace. In a field with no early speed, he can get an easy run to the front here and can be in contention a long way. (2) CONCORD PARK took a couple of tries to figure things out but has two 3rd place finishes from his latest two starts and is another who may appreciate the mile. (4) MIRACULUM another placing chance.

Selections (1) Sinhan Gamble (10) Doctor Lica (5) Yeonggwanguihamsung (2) Concord Park

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(9) GEUMJEONSA is two for two having won on debut all the way back in January over 1200M and then repeating the trick when finally returning for a second go at this class over 1300M on October 29th, both times coming from off the pace. He comes up a full 3kg in the weights here but neither that nor the additional half furlong should stop him from maintaining his 100% record here. (1) VILLARRICA got his maiden win at class 6 level two starts back over this distance making all before running 2nd, again over 1400M, on his first try at this level on October 21st. He draws very nicely on the inside to get on pace again and he should be in this a very long way. The form falls off after those two. (2) CLOUTER is a non-winner of forty-two but did beat three of these when a surprise 3rd at class and distance on October 28th. He is one-paced, and that one pace is not fast, but it didn't need to be that day and may not again, at least to find the minors. (7) BOSS BABY and (5) SARANG DAMOA others in the minor frame.

Selections (9) Geumjeonsa (1) Villarrica (2) Clouter (7) Boss Baby

Busan Race 3: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(11) RAON STRONG returned from seven months out to record his maiden win in emphatic fashion over 1300M on October 22nd, leading all the way and crossing the line seven-lengths to the good. He comes up in class and in distance today, in addition to having the challenge of the widest gate, but he should be able to deal with all that. (9) GOLDEN STELLA is yet to win in five attempts but has finished no worse than 3rd. She has the fastest time among these for the 1400M, achieved with an on-pace effort two starts back, and she has solid claims again today. She'll be joined on the speed by (5) KING ANYDAY, who comes in off a 3rd place at this class over 1300M on November 3rd and he too can be in this a long way. (7) STAR DAERO was a beaten favourite on his first try at this class on October 27th having won on debut. He ultimately ran 5th but can be given another chance here. (2) PEGACORN among other placing chances in a competitive race.

Selections (11) Raon Strong (9) Golden Stella (5) King Anyday (7) Star Daero

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Fillies only here. (9) EXCELLENT QUEEN sat handy in the early stages on debut over 1000M on October 21st before taking off in the closing stages and running on to win by a full eight-lengths. She comes up in class and in trip here, but the manner of that win suggests there can be more to come, and she can make it two from two. It won't be easy. (8) WONDERFUL SHADOW enters with recent form reading very well with three placings at this class among her latest four starts. She goes best when on pace and should be in this a long way. (11) GEOLJAK SKY comes up in class following a win over this distance at start number three on October 21st when prominent throughout. She faces the challenge of the widest gate this time but can measure up in this company. (2) ARCH RUNNER and (7) CHALLA JILJU, the latter another up in class following a last start maiden score, are other to consider.

Selections (9) Excellent Queen (8) Wonderful Shadow (11) Geoljak Sky (2) Arch Runner

Busan Race 4: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(1) GEUMA DEFT returned from five months off to make all and win in a quick time over 1400M on October 27th. He comes up a full 4.5kg in the weights, but that's balanced by a good draw and a drop in trip, and he can go back-to-back here. (8) FINAL SEVEN returns to action for the first time since June. He was going well before the layoff with a runner-up finish at class and distance most recent result. He will need this, but he looked well when 2nd in a quick trial two weeks ago and he could well be a player here. (3) JEONGMUN SPECTER has run fairly in two efforts at this class since his maiden win in September. He wasn't able to get into things from gate eleven last time out but from a much better draw, he can be on pace and in the finish here. (9) YEONGGWANGUI TANK and (5) WAITING FOR YOU among others who can be competitive.

Selections (1) Geuma Deft (8) Final Seven (3) Jeongmun Specter (9) Yeonggwangui Tank
Next Best 5, 2

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(4) HONOR ROSE is the one to beat here. A winner of two from five, she is yet to finish any worse than 4th, a placing she achieved at her latest start which was her first at this class over 1200M when she was away to a slow start and spent most of the race right at the back of the field before making up excellent ground when it was too late. She comes back to a trip at which she has won and with even an average start today, she can win again. The main danger is (8) TANGJA. A winner over this distance at class 5 level two starts back, he followed up by coming from off the pace to run 2nd on his first try at this class on October 21st, again from behind. He comes up a full 3kg in the weights this time but can go close. (7) ARA CHAMP may appreciate the drop in trip after recent efforts at 1400M and can sit behind the speed and run on. (9) POWERFUL HWASEONG and (1) SPECIALTIME others in the placing frame.

Selections (4) Honor Rose (8) Tangja (7) Ara Champ (9) Powerful Hamseong

Busan Race 5: Class 1 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 110 Million

In his last two starts, (2) DAEJI CHOICE has led almost all the way around and finish a close 2nd at 2000M and then come from off the pace to win over 1200M so it is safe to say he is versatile. He is also, like most of these, out of the handicap so carries a light weight, draws very nicely, and has every chance. (4) CRAZY CONTI puts all but two of the rest of the field out of the handicap with his big rating. It is earned though, and he won back-to-back class 1 races at 2000M and 1800M in June and July before finishing 7th of fourteen in the international Korea Cup in September. He likes to come from off the pace and while he gives away loads of weight, his class may see him through, and he will almost certainly start as the favourite.  (1) PRO CONSUL comes in off a smart 4th in a quick race over a mile and can be in the finish. (5) ONNURI JILJU and (7) SO MUCH GO others in the placing hunt.

Selections (2) Daeji Choice (4) Crazy Conti (1) Pro Consul (5) Onnuri Jilju

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Competitive race. Moon Se-young being aboard will probably swing favourite status towards (4) BARAMUI GEOM. He comes up in class following an eight-length win over 1400M on October 21st when settling just behind the speed before running on comprehensively. He only gets a small weight drop, but he draws well, and he can win again. (7) SECRET PLAY showed good form across late Spring and early summer including a class and distance 2nd in a quick time. He hasn't raced since July, but he looked well when winning a trial just last Friday (17th) and so long as he didn't leave his race there, he can be a danger. (9) RAON THE CHARLIE was a winner at this class over 1400M on October 14th, settling midfield and running through the line well. He comes up 2kg in the weights but is still nicely in and a repeat isn't impossible. (11) THE FAVORITE and (1) HWANGGEUMKKOT are the other place chances.

Selections (4) Baramui Geom (7) Secret Play (9) Raon The Charlie (11) The Favorite

Busan Race 6: Class 3 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(5) WORLD LEGEND was 5th in the KRA Cup Mile and then an also-ran in the Korean Derby before spending four months out. He returned to action at this class and distance with a close 2nd on October 6th having led in the home straight. Second-up here he can strip fitter, and continuing under a light weight, he can go one better today. (6) YASAENGHWA was a strong winner in a quick time over this distance on November 3rd. She comes up in class here but remains under a light weight and she can measure up. (4) ALIVE STAR was a close 3rd behind World Legend in that October 6th race. He can sit on or just behind the speed here and can be in it a long way once more. (10) INDY CHOICE and (9) ALL CROWN among others in the placing frame.

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(2) BULUI NALGAE enters in consistent form having finished in the top three in each of his last five starts, including a class and distance win two starts back on September 24th when settling midfield and finishing well. HE followed that up with an on-pace runner-up finish, again at class and distance on October 29th. He is still under a relatively light weight, he draws well, and he looks to be the one to beat. (4) HWANGWOO CHOEGANG has been feeling his way into this class gradually getting closer with a 2nd place last time out over a mile. He tackles the two turns for the first time, but he has proven himself to be versatile in his running style and it may well suit. (6) NAUI NARA took a shy at the class 3 stumps last time and while that wasn't successful, he shouldn't be dismissed in this company. (1) JEONGSANG KINGDOM and (10) KING SIMBA among others in the pacing frame.

Selections (2) Bului Balgae (4) Hwangwoo Choegang (6) Naui Nara (1) Jeongsang Kingdom

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(4) WONDERFUL INDY stepped up to this distance on October 22nd and ran a solid 3rd place at this class racing handy throughout. He only carries an extra kilogram here, and from a good draw will be on or close to the pace again and this time can win. (11) CHEONGSAN YEONGUNG came from well off the pace to run 2nd, beating three of these in the process over this class and distance on October 28th. The wide draw shouldn't be an issue here and while he doesn't win out of turn (just once in twenty-one starts), he can be a danger here. (1) WONPYEONG COD is one of only two in the field to have already won at this distance. He is the top-rated and while that does mean top weight, he could make for some interest at an each-way price. (5) WHITE CHARM and (7) GEUM SEDA are others to keep safe.

Selections (4) Wonderful Indy (11) Cheongsan Yeongung (1) Wonpyeong Cod (5) White Charm

Seoul Race 11: Class 1 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 110 Million

(5) RAON GIANT ran 4th in the first leg of the Triple Tiara before being given her chance in the Korean Derby and Minister's Cup. She finished well back in both but returned to form when dropped back to a sprint distance and winning a valuable Trophy race over 1200M on international weekend. She is a winner of six from eleven and finds herself very nicely in for her first foray into class 1 and she looks to be the one to beat. (10) YEONHUI ILCHUL's latest three starts have all been in Queens' Tour races with the best being a runner-up finish to Jeulgeounyeojeong in the Jeju Governor's Cup over 1400M on September 24th. She too finds herself very nicely in under handicap conditions and she can be a danger. (9) JOY BROTHER was a solid 4th at this class over 1400M on October 22nd beating a couple of today's rivals in the process and he can be a danger here. (6) MIGHTY GO returns to action for the first time since February but looked well when winning a trial at the end of October and can be considered. (8) VICEROY another in the hunt.
