Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Juvenile maidens in the opener with half the field racing for the first time. (7) GEUMAK JINJU began her career with a 3rd and a 2nd over 1000M but could only manage a lower midfield finish when tried at this distance for start number three. She is the most experienced of these, she can be on pace here and this time she can stay on. The main danger is set to be a debut-maker. (8) BUGANGJILJU was a close 2nd in his heat stopping the clock in a fair time having led for most of the way. If he brings that form to the races, he will go close and Moon Se-young's presence aboard may mean he starts as the favourite. (2) SEOBU TEUKSONG and (6) SAENAE PARK both trialled up fairly, positing promising times and can make an impression first up. Returning to experience, (4) THUNDER SPEED didn't exactly show a lot of speed on debut on November 4th, but he did finish 4th of ten and that entitles him to a chance here.

Selections (7) Geumak Jinju (8) Bugangjilju (2) Seobu Teuksong (6) Saenae Park

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Maiden fillies and (2) CHAMJOEUN JILJU will be the hot favourite. She didn't do an awful lot in her first two outings but was significantly improved at start number three over this distance on November 5th when she sat handy before running on for 2nd in a quick time. From a great draw, expect to see her on pace from the start and she won't need to improve much to win. (4) SEONGSIL DAERO will be the second-favourite. She improved at start number two on November 11th when a close 2nd at this distance having shown on the speed and she will be battling it out with Chamjoeun Jilju from the start. (6) MYUNGJINBULLPAI has hinted at ability across two starts so far, coming from well off the pace both times. She can be a danger late on here. (7) MENI SHARK and (10) YEJIMONG others in the placing frame.

Selections (2) Chamjoeun Jilju (4) Seongsil Daero (6) Myungjinbullpai (7) Meni Shark

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Two standouts here. (6) HAKSAN MACHO has shown steady improvement across four starts so far culminating in a runner-up finish over 1200M on November 5th when he overcame a middling star from the widest gate to sit handy. He can settle behind the early speed again and can go one better. (1) GIPPEUM HAMSEONG is the danger. He has a 5th and a 3rd from two starts so far, the latter coming over 1200M on November 4th when settling back and running on. Exepect similar today with every chance of improvement third-up. (4) BEST WHIZ ran out of steam having led on debut two weeks ago. He still managed to finish 5th of eleven and should have come on for the run so can be given another chance here. (9) GREAT STORM and (5) TOJONG GLORY among others in the minor money frame.

Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

The opener at Busan looks like a battle of the two widest drawn. (10) KING FIGHTER is the pick with a 2nd and a 3rd from his latest two, most recently over 1200M on November 5th when settling midfield and then running on. He had raced on pace in outings prior to that and while he may need a little luck to find a forward position here, if he can get to one, he can win. (11) SINCHEON FIRST will probably also try to get across. He has a 4th and a 3rd from his own latest two appearances, racing on the speed to beat a couple of today's rivals in a quick time on October 27th. He too may need some early luck but has every chance. The form of the rest is a bit patchy. (7) NONSTOP DUTY comes in off a plain effort third time out behind Sincheon First but if we go on his two previous 4th places in August and September, he has a chance. With the rest of the early speed on his outside, he is in pole position to lead. (5) FLYING DIA and (4) WONDERFUL ONE will also need their respective latest outings forgiven but have shown ability previously.

Selections (10) King Fighter (11) Sincheon First (7) Nonstop Duty (5) Flying Di  a

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(2) VINCERO CAVALLO ran a smart 4th in the Munhwa Ilbo Trophy, the first leg of the Juvenile Series, before weakening late in the second led, the Nonghyup Chairman's Trophy, last month. He skips a trip to Busan for next week's series finale and instead returns to much more amenable waters here and should lead all the way. (6) ORAEDAHAMKKE came from off the pace to run a solid 3rd at this distance and distance on November 4th. Moon Se-young climbs on here and he can be in the finish again. (1) STAR RUSH has two 3rd places from his latest three, most recently on October 22nd when coming from well back at this distance. He has posted quick times for the distance and only Oraedahamkke has a fast final furlong average time. (3) SILVER PURGE and (8) SONGAM ARCHGIRL are the other place chances.

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(3) YONGBI STAR gets the verdict here. Entres off a 3rd place over 1300M and 4th over 1400M from her latest two, both times having been ridden much further forward than she was in her previous starts. She has the fastest time among these for the distance, she draws well, and she can make the breakthrough today. (1) MOST RAPID has come close in his latest two including a runner-up finish over this distance on October 13th when he led for much of the way around. He will be on the speed here and will surely be in things a long way again. (4) ILCHUL GOLD similarly led for a long way over this distance on November 3rd, ultimately just being pipped to the line by the favourite. She was the longest shot on the board that day but warrants more respect here. (6) AWESOME SUNRISE and (8) COLONEL FLYING are others in the hunt for the minors.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

An emphatic winner over 1200M in September (4) DOKKI DRAGON worked hard from a wide draw to get close to the pace on his first try at this level over 1300M on October 22nd and ultimately finished in 6th place. He comes into a better gate today and can return to winning ways. (6) WORLD SHANNONS comes up in class having scored his maiden win at start number two over 1200M on November 4th when making all. He comes down slightly in the weights and can measure up in this company. (3) GEUMSE is yet to win but came very close when almost making all over this distance in October. He then had a hard time from a wide gate in the Listed Nonghyup Chairman's Trophy, but he looks nicely in here and may provide some interest at a probable each-way price. (11) MIRACLE HANGANG and (7) CHEONGPAUI KKUM are among others to consider.

Busan Race 3: Class 5 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(11) BACCHUS looks a potential Classic trail contender for next season, and he impressed on his first spin around two-turns at this class and distance on October 27th, settling midfield and running on well for 2nd. He has a very quick final furlong average time, and he can make it win number two here. (2) DAHAMKKEDALLIJA took a few goes to find his feet at this level but his latest two efforts have been good, with a 3rd and a 4th. They were both at 1200M so he takes a big step up in trip here, but his running style does suggest that it can suit. There is absolutely no early pace in this race so from an inside gate, he may be much closer to the lead today. (3) I'M KING IJI remains winless but comes up in class following a 2nd and a 3rd in his latest two, both over a mile. He comes up in trip too but is significantly down in the weights and with Franco climbing up, he can go close. (7) DAEHO NARA and (10) SKY SHOT among others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 6: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

After two chastening experiences in the Listed Ilgan Sports Trophy and then the Graded Gyeongnam Governor's Cup, (6) MADISON MOUNTAIN returns to much shallower waters here. She was a class 5 winner at 1700M in August and back under a light weight today, she can win again. It won't be easy because this is a competitive race. (9) HAWK PRINCE was a class and distance winner in September and enters off fair 2nd and 5th places over 1700M and 1400M. In this company, he can be expected to be on pace from the start and has every chance of going all the way. (11) GEUMA CHIC was a smart 3rd at a big price over 1700M at this class on November 12th She remains lightly weighted, the wide draw is no problem, and she could be an each-way prospect again. (5) GOMANARU and (7) HWARANG TODAY are others to keep safe.

Selections (6) Madison Mountain (9) Hawk Prince (11) Geuma Chic (5) Gomanaru

Busan Race 4: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(1) RAON THE HARLEY will be one of the shorter priced favourites of the day. Yet to finish any worse than 5th, he comes in having secured that position on his first try at this class and distance on October 13th. He should have derived benefit from that experience, he draws nicely to be on pace, and he carries a light weight. (9) YEONGCHEON SOLEMIO has come back into form in his latest two appearances, finishing 3rd on both occasions at this class and distance, most recently on November 17th when beating a couple of today's rivals. He draws a touch wider than ideal, but the small field should mean he has no trouble getting across to a forward position and he has won at this distance. (2) PEOPLE POWER enters with recent form reading well and may be ready for two turns. (8) EUNSEONG YEONGUNG and (6) CROWD ONE other minor hopes.

Selections (1) Raon The Harley (9) Yeongcheon Solemio (2) People Power (8) Eunseong Yeongung

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(1) G MOTION enters off the back off three consecutive runner-up finishes at this class at 1700M and a mile racing on pace each time. From the inside gate, he can sit just being the speed here and while he has been a beaten favourite in both his last two, he can be given another chance today. (2) NONSTOP THUNDER was a class and distance winner two starts back, before running a close 2nd on his latest appearance on November 5th. He comes up 2.5 kg in the weights but looks a danger. Nonstop Thunder will need to overturn the form on (8) WONDERFUL JOY, who won that November 5th race having settled handy, before dropping back and then running on. He comes up a full 4.5kg but warrants respect. The up in class and distance (6) SONGAM DRAGON along with big-priced last start class and distance winner (4) THANK YOU DAECHEON are others to consider.

Busan Race 5: Class Open (1200M) Special Weight A / "Gyeongnam Domin Ilbo Trophy" (Listed) / KRW 200 Million

Busan's juvenile fillies get to run for a big prize. (8) BAEKDUUI KKUM won the Rookie Stakes and then the Areumdaun Jilju Stakes, the latter the first leg of the Juvenile Series, before coming unstuck when favourite to land the 2nd, the Gimhae Mayor's Trophy on November 5th, finishing in 3rd place. She is pointed here in favour of next week's Breeders' Cup against the boys and the times she has run and the performances she has produced are far superior to anything else she faces here. (9) DOCTOR RICH comes in off a smart win over 1300M on October 22nd at class 5 level. She stopped the clock in a good time and looks to have potential for more. (10) LEMON PIE was 4th behind Baekduui Kkum on the Areumdaun Jilju. It's hard to see her overturning that form here but it is enough to make a big placing chance. (3) RUNNING TREE was an emphatic winner at start number two on November 3rd, making all, and is the wildcard here. (7) PERFECT ACTION another to consider.

Seoul Race 8: Class Open (1200M) Special Weight A / "Gwacheon Mayor's Trophy" / KRW 200 Million

Seoul's juvenile fillies compete for a big prize. (13) ECLIPSE BERRY will be a hot favourite. She ran 3rd to Lala K in the Rookie Stakes and then 2nd to Nice Choice in the Munhwa Ilbo Trophy, the first leg of the Seoul Juvenile Series. She hasn't raced since so comes in fresh after eight weeks off and looks to be the most forward juvenile filly in the capital by some margin. She will take some beating. (3) STARTER is unbeaten having made all to win both her first two starts at 1000M on debut in October and then at class 5 level over this distance on November 5th. She is yet to be tested but looks to have plenty of potential and draws very nicely. (1) BLUE LEMON won her first two starts before running a close 3rd at class 4 level over 1300M on October 21st when drawn wide. She gets a much better gate this time and can be there or thereabouts. (5) RAON THE DAESE and (11) HAENGBOKAN SEUNGJA among others to consider.

Busan Race 6: Class 1 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 110 Million

(6) DAEMANGUI GIL will be favoured to return to winning ways. He comes in following a close 4th place behind Eoma Eoma in the Kookje Shinmun Trophy last month having come from well off the pace and back in shallower waters and with an apprentice taking an edge off the weight, today can be his day. (7) MIRACLE DREAMING beat plenty of these, including Daemangui Gil when winning over 1200M in September. He couldn't repeat over that same distance on November 5th but comes back down in the weights today and can be given a chance. (3) ILBEONJI was 2nd in that race on November 5th which was a fast one. She has posted quick times over this trip too and should be in the frame. (11) SANGSEUNG BOY and (8) WINNING DANCER, both up in class following last start class 2 wins over this distance, are others in the hunt.

(1) GEUMBITMA won three races in a row up to this level between June and August. He comes in off a 2nd and a 3rd place from his latest two and from a good draw and in this company, he is favoured to return to the winner's circle, most likely settling back and running on. (11) SPO BLADE was a winner over a mile at this class on November 4th, racing handy throughout. He comes up a full 4kg in the weights but can measure up again here. (4) SINHAN TEUKSONG won back-to-back races at class 4 over this distance before running a good 4th on her first try at this class on October 15th. She continues under a light weight and should be on pace and in this a long way. (2) CLAIR BEST and (9) DAEWANGU among others in the hunt.

Competitive race. (4) LOOKING GOOD ran a fair 6th in the Listed Ilgan Sports before beating a couple of these on his way to 3rd place over 2000M on October 29th. It's been a long time since he stepped back to racing around one turn, but he might be worth a chance here. (8) LAST PUNCH is the probable betting favourite. She doesn't exactly win out of turn, but her recent record reads very well with top-four finishes in each of her last five starts. She can get a bit far back, but she has a great finish on her and will be a big danger late on.  (7) CHAMJOEUN CHINGU was a big player in last year's Triple Tiara series but was unable to translate that to this year's Queens' Tour. Back in more amenable company today, she can be close.  (11) CHOEGANG GAME and (1) JANGSAN POISON are others in the hunt.

(9) MONSTER K took a shy at the class 1 stumps over 1800M on November 5th and only missed them by a whisker, leading for most of the way around and ultimately finishing a very close 4th. He comes back into his own class today and while that means he gets 6kg restored to his back, he also comes down to 1400M and he can lead all the way. (3) HWANGGEUM LUCKY enters off a close runner-up finish over 1800M on October 9th when coming from well off the pace. He comes back to one turn for the first time in a while and should be in the mix. (1) YAHO GOLDEN CAT is very nicely weighted, draws well, and can go closer than the 4th place he scored last time out at this class over 1200M. (11) MUNHAK BOSS and (2) SINGSING MARY others in the placing frame.
