Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

It's hard to go past (1) BUNDANG TSUNAMI in the opener. Following a plain debut in July, he has run 3rd and 4th in two subsequent starts, most recently on his first try at this distance on October 29th when he led for much of the way. He should have derived benefit from that experience and from the inside gate, can be on pace again and this time can go all the way. There are three first-time starters, and of them, (8) RUN WILD looks the best. He came from off the pace in his latest trial, crossing the line in front with plenty of hand in a fair time. If he brings that form to the races, he will be close. (2) MIGHTY BOM shouldn't be dismissed either. He overcame gate ten to sit handy in his trial, ultimately running 2nd. The time wasn't quick, but he was within himself and from a good draw can put in a bold showing first up. Returning to the experienced ones, (11) THE SUN FIGHTER and (7) ÉCLAIR STAR look the clear next bests.

Selections (1) Bundang Tsunami (8) Run Wild (2) Mighty Bom (11) The Sun Fighter

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(8) MY KHAN has raced twice for a 5th and most recently a 3rd place over 1200M on November 11th when coming from off the pace. The additional half furlong can suit and third-up, he can be peaking fitness-wise. He is hard to oppose but (1) STUNNING MONEY has hinted at ability across three starts so far. He too has been doing his best work late on and should be running on strong at the business end here. (2) SOLAIRE has raced just the once going right back after a slow start and running on for a fair 6th of ten. The time wasn't quick, but he should have come on for the run and with some natural improvement, he can get closer here. (4) METIS THUNDER and (10) YONGBICHEON others with potential to challenge for the minor money.

Selections (8) My Khan (1) Stunning Money (2) Solaire (4) Metis Thunder

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Not an especially strong maiden, so with a 5th and two 4th place finishes from her latest three, (2) LOVE MUNMAK will probably start favourite. She has the fastest final furlong average time among these by some margin, and she should appreciate the step up in trip here.  There is one first time starter. (3) DRAGON SQUARE went through three trials, ultimately getting the job down at the third time of asking, settling right back before rallying to cross the line in front in a fair time. The 1400M can suit first up and he can go right into the mix here. (1) SAVANA CHARLIE returned from three months off to finish in midfield on November 25th. He should strip fitter for that run, and he has plenty of money finishes to his name already. (5) JECHUK ILHO and (7) LAST PITCH are others to keep safe.

Selections (2) Love Munmak (3) Dragon Square (1) Savana Charlie (5) Jechuk Ilho

Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(10) MACH MAN has a couple of 5th places to his name including in a quick race over this distance last time out on November 5th. That gives him the fastest time among these over this distance by a considerable margin and while he may need a bit of luck early from the wide gate, he can win this. (6) KWAEHAN YEONGUNG has raced just the once when a fast 4th over 1000M back in August. He trialled up fairly in November and can be in the mix first up here, most likely racing on the pace. (2) RAON VIBE MAN came from off the pace to run a good 4th on debut over 1200M on November 12th. He should have come on for that run and can go closer here. (7) THUNDER MACHINE races for the first time since August and put in a fair trial performance last month. He along with (5) POWERFUL DASH can be considered for improvement.

Selections (10) Mach Man (6) Kwaehan Yeongung (2) Raon Vibe Man (7) Thunder Machine

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Competitive race. (6) EINSPANNER was a winner on debut a year ago and ever since has been working her way back into contention. She comes in off a 3rd and a 2nd from her last two starts at 1200M and 1300M, both times having led almost the entire way around and today she can go one better. (10) SINUI HAMSEONG got his maiden win two starts back over 1200M before running a fair 4th over this distance on his first try at this class on November 11th when he went right back and ran on. He should have benefited from that experience and can get closer here. (7) ECHO ZONE was 5th behind Sinui Hamseong in that November 11th race and can match or better that today. (8) GOOD CABO and (4) LONDON ACE others in the hunt for the minors.

Selections (6) Einspanner (10) Sinui Hamseong (7) Echo Zone (8) Good Cabo

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(8) SUCCESS BAEKPA is set to be one of the shorter priced favourites of the day. He has steadily improved across three starts to date, culminating in a 3rd place in a quick time over 1300M on November 10th. In this company, he can set up camp behind the early speed and he should prove too strong at the business end of the race. (3) DAESEUNGNIJA has similarly shown promise across his three appearances so far. He has settled back and run on but there is a total absence of known early speed in this race so from a good gate, he may be ridden closer to the front this time and should be in this a long way. (9) WIN STING is yet to finish in the top two in twenty appearances, but he has posted some decent times for this distance, and this is the kind of company in which he can record a money finish. (2) BLACK FALCON and (6) ALLURE other minor money hopes.

Selections (8) Success Baekpa (3) Daeseungnija (9) Win Sting (2) Black Falcon
Next Best 6, 11
Fast Start 3, 5, 10, 11

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Competitive race. (1) MULLEBANGA got his maiden win at start number five over 1200M on October 29th when he came from off the pace and ran on well. He comes up in class here, but the additional trip can suit, and he looks to have more improvement in the tank. (3) OKCHEON SNIPER was an also-ran in the Rookie Stakes before running 3rd at this class and distance on October 14th when leading for much of the way. He was sent back to trial for his manners after that and he looked very well when winning his subsequent heat last month. He can be a danger. (10) CHADOL RUN rarely runs a bad race and this is the kind of event he can pick up a cheque in. (9) WORLD KING MAN and (6) FLYING ZEST, the latter needing a line drawn through his lates, are others to consider.

Selections (1) Mullebanga (3) Okcheon Sniper (10) Chadol Run (9) World King Man
Next Best 6, 8

Busan Race 3: Class 5 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

This looks wide open. (9) DOCTOR LEO is yet to strike in four attempts but has finished as runner-up on three occasions, including his latest at this class over 1800M on November 10th when he led at various points in the race. He comes up 1.5kg in the weights but the mile can suit, and he has as much chance as any here. (11) BUGYEONG LION is another non-winner, in his case from six attempts. He too has three runner-up finishes and while he was a bit wild in the home straight on his latest (and worst) effort, he has been back to trial since and won the heat in a fast time. Today could be his day. (2) BORIS MARINE is a winner already, striking at this class over 1400M on November 10th, leading every step of the way. He comes up 3.5kg in the weights, but that's balanced by a good draw, and he should get an easy run to the front and can repeat. The modestly named (5) THE BEST EVER along with the up in class (7) WONDERFUL IMPACT are among plenty of others with placing hopes.

Selections (9) Doctor Leo (11) Bugyeong Lion (2) Boris Marine (5) The Best Ever

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Small field here. (6) RAON TAP PLAY has finished 2nd in both his starts so far, both over 1200M, but in contrasting styles, coming from off the pace in the first of them and then racing handy in the second. Those runner-up finishes got him a rating so he comes up in class here, but he is down in the weights, and he should be competitive. (7) HWASANGWIHWAN is also a maiden but has three runner-up finishes to his name including on his latest outing on November 4th over this class and distance when handy all the way. He will be on pace here and will be a big danger. (2) GEOMIBULU needs a line drawn through his latest over 1300M when drawn wide and never a factor. Instead go on his 3rd place at this distance two starts back and he should be in the mix. (5) STUNNING LADY is the wildcard. She hasn't raced since getting her maiden win at start number two in June, but she was on pace in a quick trial just last week and so long as she didn't leave her race there, can go well. (8) THUNDER BLUE another to keep safe.

Selections (6) Raon Tap Play (7) Hwasangwhihwan (2) Geomibulu (5) Stunning Lady
Next Best 8, 3
Fast Start 2, 4, 5, 7

Busan Race 4: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(9) MIRACLE ONE enters having won at class and distance on November 8th when settling midfield and running on well. That was the culmination of a good run of form and given she only comes up 1kg in the weights, a repeat is more than possible here. (11) MAGARITA has four top-two finishes from five starts so far. She comes up in class following back-to-back runner ups over this distance and while she has the challenge of the wide gate, she comes down in the weights and can be competitive. (6) SUCCESSFUL returns to action for the first time since winning over this distance at class 5 level in July (beating Magarita). He looked well when winning a November trial and can be a danger first-up. (8) SAVAHA comes up a full 5kg from his class and distance win on October 15th but shouldn't be dismissed. (7) RAP VERSA another in the hunt.

Selections (9) Miracle One (11) Magarita (6) Successful (8) Savaha
Next Best 7, 1
Fast Start 4, 6, 10, 11

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1700M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Two standouts in this small field. (7) SIDAEUI MYEONGJAK was a winner at class and distance two starts back before running 2nd in a slow race over 1800M on November 4th. He comes up 2.5kg for his troubles but in this company, with little early speed, he should be prominent early and be in this a long way. (2) ROCK IMPACT was 3rd behind Sidaeui Myeongjak two starts back before picking up a win of his own at class and distance on November 12th when settling back and running on. He comes up a full 5kg but draws well and should be there or thereabouts again. (3) FUN CRAZY enters off three consecutive runner-up finishes, most recently at this class and distance on November 25th. (5) THUNDER HORSE and (4) TOUR QUEEN the other money chances.

Selections (7) Sidaeui Myeongjak (2) Rock Impact (3) Fun Crazy (5) Thunder Horse

Busan Race 5: Class Open (1400M) Special Weight A / Breeders Cup Rookie (KOR-G2) / KRW 700 Million

This race will decide the Champion Juvenile of 2023. (9) HANGANG CLASS is the probable favourite based on his very quick win in the Gimhae Mayor's Trophy over 1200M on November 5th. It was a super time and a commanding five-length victory. Like may he steps up to 1400M for the first time, but he can be equal to it. (7) LALA K was the last to 1st winner of the Rookie Stakes in August before being beaten in the Munhwa Ilbo Trophy in October. He returned to form with a comfortable win in the NACF Chairman's Trophy on November 5th, settling back before improving on the turn and then running on very well. He steps up to 1400M for the first time and it really should suit. (8) DOCTOR KINGDOM was 2nd in the Busan Rookie Stakes and in both the first two Busan legs of the Juvenile Series. Each time he has been doing his best work late and the additional trip will be to his benefit. (2) NICE TIME is three for three and downs Lala K to win the Munhwa Ilbo Trophy. He hasn't raced since but shouldn't be dismissed. (3) DOCTOR BROWN another in the hunt.

Selections (9) Hangang Class (7) Lala K (8) Doctor Kingdom (2) Nice Time
Next Best 3, 6
Fast Start 4, 9, 14, 15

Seoul Race 8: Class 3 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(7) LUCKY SUN finished midfield in all three legs of this year's Triple Crown and returned to shallower waters with a narrow win over this distance on October 15th. He comes up in class here but that shouldn't be an issue, and he can win again. The main danger is (10) UPTOWN WHIZ. He took part in the final leg of the Triple Crown, inauspiciously, but enters here following two good 3rd place finishes at this class over 1800M. He likes to race on or close to the pace and while that may be a challenge from the widest gate given the short run to the turn, he should be close. (4) MUSTANG POWER comes in having won at class and distance on October 21st when settling right back and running on. He comes up a full 4kg in the weights but shouldn't be dismissed. (3) GANGNYEOKHANJIGEUM and (1) GRACE QUEEN among plenty of other placing chances.

Selections (7) Lucky Sun (10) Uptown Whiz (4) Mustang Power (3) Gangnyeokhanjigeum

Busan Race 6: Class Open (1800M) Special Weight A / Breeders Cup Queen (KOR Listed) / KRW 300 Million

An additional Queens' Tour race for this season. Having run 3rd in the Korean Oaks and then 2nd in the final leg of the Triple Tiara, (11) WONDERFUL SLEW got her big race win in the previous leg of this series, the Gyeongnam Governor's Cup, over 2000M here on October 29th. Still lightly raced, she should have too much again. (8) JEULGEOUNYEOJEONG swept all three legs of the Triple Tiara but could only manage 3rd in the Gyeongnam. She was then asked to run in the G1 President's Cup against the boys over 2000M at Seoul where she acquitted herself well in finishing midfield. She is on a quick turnaround again after a long and hard season, but her class may see her through. Ttukseom Cup winner (6) RAON THE SPURT races for the first time since a midfield finish in another Queens' Tour race, over 1400M at Seoul in September. Coming in fresh may be to her benefit and she can lead and be in this a long way. (3) SUCCESS TIME and (4) COSMO among other contenders.

Selections (11) Wonderful Slew (8) Jeulgeounyeojeong (6) Raon The Spurt (3) Success Time
Next Best 4, 2

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

Fillies only and it's a tricky race. (10) HAEUNDAE GALMAEGI returned from more than three months out to run 2nd over 1200M on October 29th, settling handy and running on. She should strip fitter for that effort and has as good a chance as any here. (9) HAENGBOKAN MUNMAK enters off back-to-back win over this distance, most recently at this class on November 4th. He comes up 2.5kg in the weights but should be close again and in this company, can probably be on the speed. (3) CONCORD QUEEN comes in having run 2nd in each of her last two appearances, both at this class and distance. She comes up a full 3kg in the weights but that's balanced somewhat by a nice draw, and she can be a danger. (1) NAOL CHEONJI and (8) GOLD POWER the others to keep safe.

Selections (10) Haeundae Galmaegi (9) Haengbokan Munmak (3) Concord Queen (1) Naol Cheonji
Next Best 8, 11

Seoul Race 10: Class 1 (2000M) Handicap / KRW 110 Million

(2) VICS GO comes out of the KRA Cup Classic and the President's Cup, both at this distance, where he ran creditable 6th places behind Winner's Man in both. He returns to much more amenable company today and under the handicap conditions, he carries a very light weight. He draws well and if he can match his President's Cup effort, he will take some beating. (3) MIGHTY SOO comes in having beaten a couple of these on his way to victory over 1800M at this class on November 5th. He too benefits weight wise from the presence of a couple of big-rated horses in this field and accordingly is out of the handicap so doesn't carry any more weight and he can be in it again. (8) YONGAM BOSS ran 2nd to Nut Play in the Listed Ilgan Sports Trophy in September before running a fair 3rd over 1400M at this class in October. He tackles the 2000M for the first time but has a smart finish on him and he can be competitive. (7) THE GUMPU is one of those big rated ones but an apprentice takes 4kg off his back and he can be in the mix here, probably leading early and staying on. (10) GOOD PILSEUNG another in the frame.

Selections (2) Vics Go (3) Mighty Soo (8) Yongam Boss (7) The Gumpu
