Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

(1) GROUPER has a 2nd and a 3rd from two starts so far, both over this distance and the former in a good time. He draws nicely to be on pace again here and he should be exiting the lowest class of racing with a win. (5) ANYANG TSUNAMI has made progress across three starts so far culminating in a 5th place in a fair time over this distance on November 11th. She has raced handy in her latest two and should do similar here and in this company, she won't need to improve by very much to get close. (2) BEOLGYO CHADOL was sent off as favourite on debut following a positive trial showing. She finished back in the pack but should have benefitted from the run and can be given another chance here. (3) DREAM CARD and solitary debut maker (9) JANGBI DAEUN are others in the hunt.

Selections (1) Grouper (5) Anyang Tsunami (2) Beolgyo Chadol (3) Dream Card

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(8) PERFECT TIARA has raced four times and has finished no worse than 5th. Her best so far is her latest on November 26th, when she settled midfield and ran on for 2nd in a slowly run ace over 1200M. She comes up to the 1300M for the first time, and it can suit. (1) ARNOLD QUEEN came from off the pace on debut over 1200M on October 28th to run a fair 5th. She should have come on for that run and can get closer here. (3) FIRST CHOUX loves coming 5th, something he has done on each of his last four outings, but he does have the fastest time among these for the distance and from a good draw can get closer today. (11) SAEBYEOK BULBIT and (5) GIANT FORCE are among others in the placing hunt.

Selections (8) Perfect Tiara (1) Arnold Queen (3) First Choux (11) Saebyeok Bulbit

Seoul Race 3: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Fillies (and one mare) only here. (4) BRIGHT HANSEN stalked the leader on debut over this distance on November 5th, before striking the front with just over a furlong to go and running on to win comfortably. She comes up in class as a result, but the manner of that win suggests there is more to come, and she is the one to beat again here. She will be the hot favourite with (2) SPARK THUNDER the second pick. The latter was an equally dominant winner at start number two on November 11th, racing on pace throughout. She too comes up in class but should be on the speed again and will surely be in this a long way. (10) HIT FLY was a little less visually impressive when getting her maiden win at start two on November 25th. The time was solid though and she too should be competitive in this company. As for those with previous experience of class 5, (8) YEOWANG SOCKS and (1) WIDAEHAN HANMA look the best.

Selections (4) Bright Hansen (2) Spark Thunder (10) Hit Fly (8) Yeowang Socks

Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(4) RAINBOW ROAD will be favourite. She ran 2nd on debut in October before posting a 4th place on November 26th, both times settling behind the speed and running on. She draws nicely and, in this company, will probably be ridden on pace. She should have too much. (7) SEUNGNI TAKEN raced a couple of times this spring without distinction but returned after seven months out on November 24th and came from off the pace to run a much-improved 2nd over this distance. He should strip fitter for the run and can be a danger here too. (10) CAPTAIN CHARLIE has been knocking on the door in his latest three, including a 3rd place over 1300M. He likes to settle back and run on so the wide draw shouldn't be a problem, and he can run into some money again. (3) ANY SINGS and (2) WONDERFUL KAYLAN others in the hunt.

Selections (4) Rainbow Road (7) Seungni Taken (10) Captain Charlie (3) Any Sings

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(1) DRONE KILLER was a winner on debut over 1200M in October before running an on-pace 3rd on his first try at this class and distance on November 11th, going down narrowly. From the inside gate, he should be on pace from the start and has solid claims here. (4) HERE I AM is up in class following an emphatic win over 1200M on November 12th, making all and pulling out of sight late on. The win had been coming, Moon Se-young stays aboard, and he may well start as favourite here. (3) LEGENDSUN was an also-ran in the Listed NACF Chairman's Trophy for juveniles last month but returns to shallower waters here and should be in the frame. (9) DREAM SKY and (6) JEONGMUN PAPAGO, 3rd and 4th respectively when they raced one another at class and distance on November 19th, re among others to keep safe.

Selections (1) Drone Killer (4) Here I Am (3) Legendsun (9) Dream Sky

Busan Race 2: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(2) VICTOR PARTY was a strong winner class 6 level over this distance on October 20th, leading all the way, and looked like repeating the trick on her first try at this class on November 19th, racing on pace before ultimately finishing 5th. She comes into a better gate today and this time will be expected to make all. (3) GLOBAL CHOEGO was a shock 2nd in that November 19th race. That was though his second time placing at this class and distance and should warrant some more respect this time around. The latest form falls off a bit after that. (8) STATICE doesn't look in any way a winning chance, but this is the kind of race he could place in at probably and each-way price. (1) UNJU OREUM and (4) GOHEUNG CLASS others in the hunt for the minors.

Selections (2) Victor Party (3) Global Choego (8) Statice (1) Unju Oreum

Seoul Race 5: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(3) BLACK MOTION returned from six months out to run a close 2nd at this class over 1200M on November 19th, settling just behind the speed and running on. He should have derived benefit from that run and rom a good gate, jockey Jeong Jeong-hee can pick his spot and they should prove too strong. (5) MIGHTY SSEN was rapidly promoted to this class with back-to-back wins in August and September. He has since run 5th and 4th in two tries at this level, having drawn ide both times. He comes into a much better gate today and can be a danger. (2) MY CENTER was a winner at class 5 level two starts back over 1200M before an on-pace 4th when favourite on his first try at this class on November 19th. He comes down 2kg in the weights and should be there or thereabouts again. (11) EUNHYE and (1) MILLION PARTY are among others to keep safe.

Selections (3) Black Motion (5) Mighty Ssen (2) My Center (11) Eunhye

Busan Race 3: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(3) LEMON BULPAE was relatively well fancied for his latest start on November 17th but unfortunately made it only a few strides out of the gate before parting company with his pilot. A winner at this distance at class 6 level in August he had run competitively in two subsequent tries at this class, and he can be given another chance today. (2) TAEWANG SINGI enters off a smart 3rd place at this class over 1200M on November 12th. He draws well to get an easy run to the speed, and he can be a danger. (4) OK DREAM was a winner on debut and has since put in some strong showings at this class. Most recently she showed close to the pace when 4th over this trip on November 10th and she shouldn't be far away again. (11) GEUMA HUGE HIT and (9) E-CASH others to consider.

Seoul Race 6: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

Competitive race. (1) MIGHTY TAP comes rapidly up in class having won two of his last three in contrasting styles, first from off the pace and then by practically making all. Both were at this distance, and he draws nicely and carries a light weight. (6) GOOD HAPPY is an import so has done all his racing at this level. He is yet to win but has a 2nd and a 3rd among four starts so far, coming from well off the pace. Moon Se-young climbs on today and he is sure to have backers. Like Mighty Tap, (7) WONDERFUL PURGE was similarly rapidly promoted, in his case with back-to-back wins in May and June. He then ran 5th and 3rd in his first two tries at this class. He races here for the first time since mid-September so comes in fresh and should go close. (2) NANO MASIN and (3) BEOLGYO TAEYANG others in the hunt.

Selections (1) Mighty Tap (6) Good Happy (7) Wonderful Purge (2) Nano Masin

Busan Race 4: Class 5 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(6) RAON STRONG got his maiden win two starts back over 1300M but had a hard time on his first try at this level over 1400M on November 26th when drawn wide. He comes up to the mile for the first time but that may well suit and he can be given another chance. Anything with "Raon" has the potential to start too short so (7) STRIKE ZONE may be preferred. He is up in class despite being yet to win but he has never finished any worse than 4th. He comes down in the weights and is another who may like the mile. (11) PURPLE STAR has two places at class and distance among her latest three appearances. She can mix her form but can be considered here. (5) STAR DRAGON and (10) BOOMY STAR other placing chances, the latter down in weight under an apprentice claim.

Selections (6) Raon Strong (7) Strike Zone (11) Purple Star (5) Star Dragon

Seoul Race 7: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(6) DAESARI made all to win at class and distance on November 26th, beating a few of these in the process. He comes up 2.5kg in the weights but the manner of that win suggests that there can be more to come, and he is the one to beat here. (4) YOUNGYOUNG SOCKS ran 4th at class and distance two starts back before going back sprinting for her latest. She carries a nice light weight here and from a good draw can settle on the speed and be in this a long way. (5) WONDERFUL DEVIL has plenty of experience at this level and comes in off a smart runner-up finish over a mile on November 4th when settling back and running on. She can finish strongly here too. (1) KING ACE and (10) GEUM SEDA others in the frame.

Selections (6) Daesari (4) Youngyoung Socks (5) Wonderful Devil (1) King Ace
Next Best 10, 2

Busan Race 5: Class 4 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(6) SOLEDAD was a class and distance winner two starts back when leading all the way around, before then running 4th when trying to repeat the trick on December 1st. She makes a quick return here with an apprentice engaged keeping her carried weight down and she looks the one to beat again. After leaving himself a bit much to do on a regular basis, (2) FUSAICHI was ridden further forward on his latest appearance on November 24th. He still managed to find one too quick but almost got there with a close 2nd. He comes up 3kg in the weights but looks at least a placing chance again. (8) MILK DAY is in the form of his life and enters off back-to-back wins over this distance at class 5 level. Three in a row seems a stretch and he is up in class, but he is down in the weights and may not be far away. (9) PURPLE LINE and (1) CHOEGANG MARINE among others in the placing frame.

Selections (6) Soledad (2) Fusaichi (8) Milk Day (9) Purple Line

Seoul Race 8: Class Open (2300M) Weight for Age / Grand Prix (KOR-G1) / KRW 1 Billion

(2) WINNER'S MAN is the best horse in Korea and looks set to become the fourth horse to win back-to-back Grand Prix Stakes. The defending champion had a little wobble in the summer but since running 3rd in the Korea Cup he was won the KRA Cup Classic and President's Cup, and he can snare his fifth Group 1 here. (16) SUCCESS MACHO was an excellent 4th in the Korea Cup before running 2nd in the KRA Cup Classic. He has the challenge of the widest gate here but is not to be dismissed. Korean Derby winner (7) GLOBAL HIT was a super 2nd in the President's Cup and looks to have loads of potential going forward. He tackles the Grand Prix distance for the first time, but he stayed on very well in the President's Cup and he can be a danger again. (13) TUHONUI BANSEOK beat Winner's Man twice with sensational performances in the YTN Cup and the Busan Mayor's Cup. He then finished in midfield in both the Korea Cup and KRA Cup Classic but may benefit from the nine weeks between races compared to just the four for Winner's Man, and his credentials are not in doubt. 2021 winner (10) HAENGBOK WANGJA has come back into form of late and can't be dismissed.

Selections (2) Winner's Man (16) Successs Macho (7) Global Hit (13) Tuhonui Banseok

Busan Race 6: Class 2 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

(7) HANGANG SAVER will be a warm favourite here. A smart winner over 1300M two starts back, he comes in having run a close 2nd on his first try at class 2 over this distance on November 19th, when slightly slow away and running on strongly. He comes un under the same weight and can go one better. That will mean overturning the form on (5) CARPE BABEL, who won that November 19th race having been on pace throughout. She can mix her form but comes in under the same weight and warrants respect. (4) CHOEGANG SSONSAL and (2) GOLDEN PLUS came home 4th and 5th in that race, and both can aim to match or better that here. (8) ROAD TO V returns to action up in class following a five-month absence but looked well in a November trial and can be considered first-up.

Selections (7) Hangang Saver (5) Carpe Babel (4) Choegang Ssonsal (2) Golden Plus

Seoul Race 9: Class 3 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(2) I'M JJANG will be the hot favourite here. Since winning on debut back in July, he has a 4th, a 3rd, and a 2nd from three subsequent starts, most recently at this class and distance on October 29th when slowly away but running on well. Moon Se-young rode him when he won, and he can win again. (6) MUNHAK STORM was a winner at class and distance on November 25th, racing handy throughout. He comes up 2kg in the weights but should be competitive again here. (4) ACHIM DONGJA is a winner of three form eight and came up to this class on November 5th and led for much of the way around before ultimately finishing in 4th place over a mile. He has some super times for this distance and is not to be dismissed. (1) BLACK CHOCOLATE and (10) THE REAPER others in the minor money hunt.

(4) TEUKGEUP DAERO comes up in class having won over 1200M on October 21st when settling back and speeding home from off the pace. She is down in the weights here and the step up in trip can suit. (7) CUPID WARRIOR loves finishing 2nd, something he has done on five occasions now. He was runner-up to Teukgeup Daero two starts back at class 4 level before repeating that finish on his first try at this level over this distance on November 19th. He will probably start favourite here and another 2nd should be the minimum aim. (3) TAURUS QUEEN comes in following an all the way score over a mile on November 11th. She is up 3.5kg in the weights but that is balanced somewhat by a good draw, and she should be on pace again. (9) POWER VICTORY and (10) RAON THE QUALITY others in the placing frame.

Selections (4) Teukgeup Daero (7) Cupid Warrior (3) Taurus Queen (9) Power Victory

(9) NAOL SNIPER ran 2nd in the Korean Derby back in June and returned to the winner's circle at this class and distance on Novem ber 12th when racing handy and finishing strongly. He comes up 3kg in the weights, but he looks class 1 bound sooner rather than later and he can win again. (5) SPRING KING was a somewhat unexpected winner at class and distance a month ago when settling midfield and running on. He comes up 3kg in the weights but can go well again. (2) LEEWOLMA ran 2nd in that race, which was on November 12th, but comes into a much better gate this time and can be close. (8) WOLF PLAY and (1) FIRE GIRL others who can be competitive in this company.
