Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

Maiden fillies kick off the Christmas Day program and there are two standouts. (7) SAENAE VIVA returned from sic months off in October and has run 2nd and 4th in two starts back so far racing on pace both times. Third-up this preparation, she can be peaking fitness-wise, and she should be on speed again and this time stay on all the way. The danger is (9) JEONGSEONGTIGER. She comes in off an improved 3rd place over this distance on November 18th when racing handy throughout. Antonio climbs on today and a similar run should see her close. (10) QUERER did nothing on her first try at this distance on November 25th but her 2nd place on debut over 1000M back in October is enough to give her another chance here. (2) B.K. BELLE and (1) CALIPH others potentially on the right trajectory.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

It's hard to go past (1) PASALUBONG here. After a middling debut, he ran a much-improved 2nd at start number two over 1200M on November 19th when settling midfield and running on having been drawn in gate eleven. He comes into a much better barrier, the slight step up in trip can suit, and he should take some beating. (2) WONDERFUL SEEKING has hinted at ability with two solid 4th places from her latest two at this distance and at 1400M. She draws nicely to sit on the speed here and can get closer. (11) WONDERFUL REGAL enters off back-to-back 3rd place finishes following a six-month absence and while the draw is not ideal, he can be in the finish again. Continuing on a theme, (8) WONDERFUL WELLS and (3) NAEGILUI LEADER are others in the placing frame.

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(3) SLAM DRAGON has a 4th and a 2nd from two starts so far, most recently over 1400M on December 2nd when handy throughout. He draws nicely here for Antonio to drop him in behind the leaders and he should have too much at the business end of the race. (5) CLOVER PARTY is the logical second pick. He has shown his best form so far in his latest two and was a good runner-up over 1200M on November 19th when settling midfield and running on with a couple of today's rivals behind him. (8) BEAUTYWONDERFUL has run on well enough in her opening two appearances to suggest the slight step up in trip can suit. (11) WONDERFUL SWEET and (10) BAEKRYONG the other logical placing chances.

Seoul Race 4: Class 6 (1700M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(2) TAENGGEURI has been getting progressively closer culminating in a 3rd place over 1300M on November 26th when coming from off the pace. His racing style suggests that the step up to two turns will be in his favour and he can make his breakthrough here. That's true of (5) CHEONMA BULPAE who got his best finish so far when stepped up to 1400M on November 19th and running 5th, ahead of a couple of these. He has the fastest final furlong average time in the field and can potentially translate that to two-turn success here. In fact, the only one to have previously tackled the distance is (10) TRES VITE. That was several starts back, but he did manage a 4th place over it and that's enough to put him in the frame here. (3) BEAT RACER and (8) GOLD CHARM others in the hunt.

Selections (2) Taenggeuri (5) Cheonma Bulpae (10) Tres Vite (3) Beat Racer

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

A relatively small field but a competitive one. We'll take a chance on (9) LEGEND K, who had seemingly lost his way for a while but has returned to form of late, registering the fastest time of any of these for the distance when 5th on November 18th and then coming back out two weeks later to run a close 2nd, again at class and distance, on December 3rd. The wide draw isn't a problem, and he can go one better today. (8) MIGHTY CAP comes up in class having broken through at start number three on November 19th, making all over this distance. Her times haven't been quick, but she has shown improvement each time, and under a light weight, she can measure up here. (3) PHOENIX CLASS has run 4th in both starts at this class since getting promoted with a smart win over this distance in August. She can be close again. (5) TRISTAN WANGJA is similarly up in class and along with (1) MENI CHARM, looks a place chance.

Selections (9) Legend K (8) Mighty Cap (3) Phoenix Class (5) Tristan Wangja

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(1) NAMSAN MUJEOK started slowly and came from well off the pace to win over 1400M on November 25th. He comes up 3kg in the weights and up to a mile, but against this ordinary set of opponents, he should have too much again. (5) CLOUTER is one of only two in the field to have tackled the mile previously. He is a forty-three-race maiden (so it would be a surprise if he hadn't been over a mile – he's been tried at everything!) so may not be attractive as a winning chance but he comes in off two very solid 3rd places at this class over 1400M. He can place again. (7) COMPLETE LEADER secured three consecutive 3rd places at this class over 1400M between May and September and while his latest effort at the end of October saw him a well beaten favourite, he can be given another chance here after eight weeks off. (9) CHOEGANG NICE and (8) JAKDUGONG perhaps the best of a limited rest.

Selections (1) Namsan Mujeok (5) Clouter (7) Complete Leader (9) Choegang Nice

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(10) JEONGSANG ACE ran out a good winner at start number two over this class at 1200M on November 4th, settling midfield and proving far too strong late on, stopping the clock in a good time. He comes up 4kg in the weights and also slightly in trip, but neither should be an issue and with Moon Se-young aboard, he will be a short-price favourite to repeat. (11) COWBOY TANGO has had a resurgence of late, with a win and a 3rd place from his latest two, both at this class over 1200M. He is very nicely treated by the weights and can be in the mix again here. (7) MISS CUPID has raced only once but she shook off a poor start to run home well for a midfield finish. She should have benefitted from that experience and can get closer this time. (8) MEOTJIN GANGHO and (9) ECTON JILJU will need their respective latest starts forgiven but both have put in recent good efforts and can be considered for a return to form.

Selections (10) Jeongsang Ace (11) Cowboy Tango (7) Miss Cupid (8) Meotjin Gangho

Seoul Race 8: Class 4 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(6) SECRET PLAY returned from four months out to run a solid 2nd at this class and distance on November 26th, when settling midfield and running on. He has consistently run good times at this distance and should strip fitter for that run and can go one better. That will mean overturning the form on (11) HANGANG JILJU, who ran out a good winner of that November 26th race at odds of 14/1, settling just behind the speed and then running on. She comes up 2kg in the weights and draws the widest gate but warrants more respect here. (4) BLOOMING STAR was a good winner over this distance at class 5 level three starts back and almost made all at this class on November 11th at this class, before ultimately finishing in 3rd place. He is nicely weighted and draws well to be on pace again. Last start winner (1) DIA KEY, along with (9) DORIPO, who also comes out of that November 26th race, are others to keep safe.

Selections (6) Secret Play (11) Hangang Jilju (4) Blooming Star (1) Dia Key

Seoul Race 9: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

A very competitive race. (10) GEUMA FIERY comes in off a smart 2nd place at this class over 1200M on November 19th when coming from well off the pace and running on. He carries his fair share of weight again but the step back up to 1400M for the first time in a long time can suit, and he can go one better. (9) GEOSEN BANGYEOK races for the first time since running 4th behind Lala K in the Listed NACF Chairman's Trophy on November 5th. He has won at 1300M in a quick time, and he looks to have plenty of potential for more here. (1) FINAL CHUKJE enters with recent form reading well, especially his latest 2nd place at class and distance on December 2nd when leading for much of the way around. He comes up 3kg in the weights, but he draws nicely to be on pace again and should once more be in this a long way. (2) LEGAL HIGH and (5) HWANGGEUMKKOT others in the hunt.

Selections (10) Geuma Fiery (9) Geoseon Bangyeok (1) Final Chukje (2) Legal High

Seoul Race 10: Class 3 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

It's about time (4) FURIOSA returned to winning ways. Since finishing last in the Luna Stakes, the first leg of the Triple Tiara in April, she has racked up three runner-up finishes and a 3rd, with one of those 2nd places being two starts back at this class and distance. She likes to race on pace and draws very well to do precisely that, and under a light weight, she is the one to beat. Should she manage to find one too quick again, there are plenty of possibles. (6) WINNER BLUE has been working back into form and won't need to run much better than he did when 3rd at class and distance on November 18th to go close here. (8) MONEY JANGGUN loves to come home from off the pace and steps up to two turns for the first time with every chance of being a big factor. (1) NEW MOON WARRIOR and (2) MIGHTY WELL among others in the frame.

Selections (4) Furiosa (6) Winner Blue (8) Money Janggun (1) New Moon Warrior

Seoul Race 11: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(5) EAST JUMP looked well in trials and then showed ability on debut on November 18th, settling handy and running on for 4th place at this class and distance. She should have derived plenty of benefit from the experience and she can win here. (7) TANGJA is ultra-consistent, with it being eight starts since he finished any worse than 4th. His latest two outings have been runner-up finishes at this class, both over 1300M, and at a minimum a repeat should be the aim here. (11) VICTORY HIT is yet to win but she has run some fast times for the distance and seems set to break through sooner or later. She is done no favours by the draw, but she carries a light weight, and she can go close. (1) POWERFUL HWASEONG and (9) KISS UNIVERSE among others in the placing hunt.

Selections (5) East Jump (7) Tangja (11) Victory Hit (1) Powerful Hwaseong

Seoul Race 12: Class 2 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

Competitive race to conclude with. (3) EOSEOMAREULHAE is a perfect three for three, having won his starts so far from the front. His latest was a quick all the way score over this distance on November 11th and while he comes up in double-quick time to class 2, he draws nicely, he carries a light weight, and he can make it four in a row here. It won't be easy though. (1) MIGHTY LOOK was a class 2 winner at this distance two starts back and placed in a valuable trophy race on international weekend, again at the 1200M. He has run some super times and while he carries his fair share of weight, he is very dangerous. He was 2nd at class and distance on November 18th, beating (4) HANGANG ACE, who came home 3rd after a strong of three consecutive wins and who should be in the hunt again. (10) DAEMUL and the up in class (8) RAON THE GOLD others in the minor money frame.

Selections (3) Eoseomareulhae (1) Mighty Look (4) Hangang Ace (10) Daemul
