Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Juvenile maidens with seven of the twelve racing for the very first time. We'll go with one of the first timers and (2) BANG BANG BANG, who beta a couple of today's rivals in her trail when she settled steadily and ran on well, crossing the line only in 5th place but in a quick time. The 1200M should suit first up and if she brings the trial form to the races, she has a chance. (7) HAEUNDAE SUNSHINE raced just the once, all the way back in August registering a midfield finish over the 1000M. She looked well in a trial two weeks ago and can get closer this time around. (5) GOOD KING MAN weakened badly at start number three earlier this month over 1400M but going on his November outing when 2nd at this distance, he has to be in the frame. (6) CHAS QUEEN is another debut maker who hinted at ability in trials. (10) FANTASTIC HUMOR did little on debut but can improve.

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Millin

The second division of the juvenile maiden, this time with seven of the eleven making their racing debuts. Among the four with prior experience is the probably short price favourite, (10) DRAGON PUNCH. After a good trial, she overcame gate eleven to run a good 3rd on debut over this distance on November 26th. Racing handy throughout. She should strip fitter for the run and can win this. Second in the market will be (4) NONSTOP DUTY. She has raced four times so far, with three 4th places among them. She has posted good times along the way at both this trip and at 1300M, and similar run today should see her improving on those 4ths. (8) GLOBAL SPURT won a November trial and while he did nothing on debut on December 1st, he can be forgiven that and given another chance here. Among the debut makers, (9) RIVERSTONE and (6) FLYING THE LUCKY potentially have the best chance of an immediate impact.

Busan Race 3: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Fillies only in this maiden. (3) GREEN CHIEF has shown steady progress across four starts so far, culminating with a 2nd place over this distance on December 8th when handy throughout. She draws nicely here to sit behind the speed again and she can prove too strong. (7) SHINING MORNING comes in off a 4th place at start number three over this distance on December 1st when she led for much of the way. From an adequate draw, she can be on pace again and can be in this a long way. (6) SAENAE HIT has run fairly for 5th and 6th place finishes in two starts so far, both over this distance. She has raced handy both times and should be doing similar today with designs on an improved finish. There are a couple of first-time starters and (1) RAID HIT came through her trial well, racing on pace. She draws well and can put in a bold first-up showing here. (2) META PRINCESS another in the hunt.

Busan Race 4: Class 6 (1400M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

More maidens and it's hard to go past (3) SINCHEON FIRST. He has four to-four finished from five starts and has been getting closer recently. He enters off a strong runner-up finish over this 1300M on December 3rd.  He likes to race on pace and the step up to 1400M for the first time can suit. (4) WIND MAGIC returned from nine months off to run 4th over 1200M at the end of November. Before her layoff, she had a couple of 3rd place finishes to her name, and she can strip fitter here. (2) ROAD TO TOP has a best of 2nd from his four starts so far, coming at 1200M. He does have experience of trying this distance already and from a good draw, he can be a danger today. (10) SAVAGE GIRL and (8) STORMY DAY are others in the frame.

Busan Race 5: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Wide open race. (5) KING FIGHTER got his maiden win at star number six with a hard-fought effort over 1300M on December 3rd when coming from off the pace. That win had been coming and while he is up in class here, he draws well, and he can measure up. (9) JANGSAN LEMON returned from five months out to secure his maiden win on November 3rd over 1400M. He too comes up in class here but has only race four times and looks to have plenty more improvement in the tank. (10) STRIKE ZONE remains a maiden but came up to this level after a few too many near-misses. He adapted to this class well, racing on pace over a mile on December 17th before ultimately finishing in 5th place. The drop back in trip can suit and he can be in the mix again. (2) VOLCANO GRIT was a winner on debut, and he too can be competitive up in class in this company. (1) B.K. ZENA another in the hunt.

Busan Race 6: Class 5 (1800M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(1) DAEHO NARA enters off a smart runner-up finish over this distance on February 3rd when racing handy throughout and with a couple of today's rivals behind her. She only comes up 1kg in the weights, she draws well, and she can win again. (3) TOP FRIEND is yet to win in fifteen attempts, but he loves finishing 2nd, something he has done on no fewer than five occasions. That includes his latest on November 19th when narrowly edged out over this distance. He carries his fair share of weight, but he should be there or thereabouts again. (2) THE BEST EVER and (6) DOCTOR LEO are also both still maidens, but they come in having raced one another over a mile at this class on December 10th, coming home 3rd and 4th respectively. Both can be in the mix here. (5) I'M KING IJI another in the placing hunt.

Busan Race 7: Class 4 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(2) FOR THE GOODTIME won two of his first three starts to be rapidly promoted to this class. He then ran 2nd on his first try at this level on November 24th, beating a couple of today's rivals in the process over the same distance they tackle today. He comes up 2.5kg in the weights, but he draws well, and he is the one to beat. (4) FANTASTIC FIELD won his first two outings to rapidly come up to this class. He had a hard time in the Listed Gimhae Mayor's Trophy and then again when sent off as favourite at this class and distance on December 1st when he led but weakened. He'll be on pace again and is worth another chance here. (5) HAENGBOKAN HAMAN was 2nd in that December 1st race, continuing a consistent run of recent form and she can go close once more. (1) STAR FURY and (10) MIGHTY STORM are others to keep safe.

Busan Race 8: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(10) CAPTAIN COMMANDO has been a model of consistency across his eight starts so far. He comes back in trip today after two 5th place finishes in his first couple of tries at this class and under a light weight, it could be his day. (1) WAITING FOR YOU had a hard time on her first try at this class but quickly recovered to run a strong 2nd over this distance on November 26th. She too comes in under a lightweight and can sit behind the early speed before challenging late. (8) JEOGMUN SPECTER was 3rd in that November 26th race, He has a smart finish on him and is another who should be doing his best work late here. (11) HAMPYEONG MAN and (7) SEOBU BIGSTEP are others who can at least challenge for the minors.

Busan Race 9: Class 3 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 75 Million

(7) GRAPHENE RAP WORLD was a winner over this distance in September at class 4 level and has since finished as runner-up in all three tries at this class, again all at this distance. She has been the beaten favourite in the latest two of them, but she can be given another chance to go one better here. Should she find one too quick again, it might be (1) CHOICE RUN.  A winner of five from twelve, he returned from four months out to run 5th behind Graphene Rap World on November 24th over this distance having shown on pace throughout. He should strip fitter for that run and from a good draw should be on the speed and in this a long way again. (9) B. K. NEW MOON comes back in trip following a 2nd and a 5th in her latest two efforts over 1400M. The wide draw won't be a problem and she can challenge here. (6) UNJU OCEAN and (2) SORI TAEPUNG others in the placing hunt.
