Seoul Race 1: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 40 Million

Picture: Korea Racing Authority

The second division of the juvenile maiden that made up yesterday's race 1 and nine of the twelve race for the first time. The experience should have the advantage though. After a good trial, (6) CROWN HAMSEONG was sent off as favourite over this distance on November 25th when she raced handy before running on for a close 2nd. She should have derived benefit from the experience, and she will be expected to go one better here. (7) GANGHAN NURI was similarly 2nd on debut. In his case it came over 1000M back on October 7th. He has had twelve weeks off since so comes in fresh and showed enough promise to merit consideration here. Completing the set of experienced ones, (11) YEONGGWANGUI WORLD showed on pace before finishing 6th on debut on November 19th. He can get closer here. As for the debut makers, (12) RAON PARANOMA and (4) DONGJIN BULPAE looked the best in trials.

Seoul Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

More maidens. (2) EDENUI DONGJJOK gets the verdict by virtue of his 3rd place at start number two over this distance on December 3rd when handy throughout. He overcame gate twelve that day so with a much better draw today, he is the one to beat. (5) GENERAL POWER debuted back in June and then didn't reappear until running an improved 5th over 1200M on November 26th, beating a couple of today's rivals when coming from well off the pace. He should strip fitter for the run and can go closer here. (8) EUNPA JOY was also an improved 5th at his latest start and can be considered for more improvement here. (1) CHEONGUCHAT and (4) NONSTOP YEOLCHA are other contenders to challenge for the places.

Selections (2) Edenui Dongjjok (5) General Power (8) Eunpa Joy (1) Cheonguchat

Seoul Race 3: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(9) HAKSAN MACHO shapes as the warm favourite here. He come sin having run 2nd and 3rd in his latest two appearances over 1200M and 1300M. He has the fastest time of any of these over the distance and can sit behind the early speed and prove too strong late on. (8) GALSAEK DOJEONJA has hinted at ability across three starts so far, with his best being a 3rd place over 1200M in October when coming from off the pace. Moon Se-young climbs aboard today and that itself ensures plenty of backers. (2) SHOUT KURO has made steady improvement and was most recently a close 4th place over this distance on November 26th. He can get a bit far back in his races, but if he is withing striking distance at the top of the straight, he can pass plenty. (11) WONPYEONG GANGJA and (5) BAEDARI HYANGGI others in the frame.

Busan Race 1: Class 6 (1300M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

Maidens in the opener at Busan and it's hard to go past (2) GUKDAE STAR. After a somewhat plain debut, he ran a good 4th at start number two over this distance on November 24th when settling in midfield and running home strongly ahead of a couple of today's rivals. He won't need to improve much to win this. (11) RAON STROKE has a 6th and a 5th in two starts so far, both at 1200M. Both times she has been a long way back before running on and the slight step up in trip can suit. (8) BIG WILD ran 8th on debut behind Gukdae Star. He had previously been quick in a trial and should have benefited from his first-up experience. Debut maker (9) FUERTE along with (10) JOJOBA are others in the hunt.

Selections (2) Gukdae Star (11) Raon Stroke (8) Big Wild (9) Fuerte

Seoul Race 4: Class 5 (1400M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Competitive race. (10) BLACK BELT is up in class having broken through at start number three over 1200M on November 26th. His style has been to go right back and run on and the step up to 1400M can suit. (7) DALMAJI has put together some consistent results at this class, most recently a strong 2nd place over 1300M on November 11th when on pace throughout. In this company he can employ similar tactics today and can go one better (3) MIRAE TOWER got his maiden win at start number five on November 19th over 1400M when leading all the way around. The win had been coming and while he is up in class here and doesn't get any weight relief, he draws nicely and has every chance of measuring up at this level. (2) REAL PACK is yet to win in twenty-eight attempts, but he's been close on several occasions and comes in with recent form reading well and along with (4) NEMO SPIRIT is a place chance here.

Selections (10) Black Belt (7) Dalmaji (3) Mirae Tower (2) Real Pack

Busan Race 2: Class 6 (1200M) Special Weight A / KRW 25 Million

(11) UNJU TOP has a 4th and a 3rd from two starts so far at 1000M and 1300M, running on well both times. She has proven to have a smart finish on her, so the widest gate shouldn't be too problematic, and while she may need a bit of luck at the start, she can prove too strong. This isn't a strong race so (4) SONGDO GALMAEGI may be worth a chance at a probable even-money price. He did nothing in two starts at the beginning of this year but after ten months off, he looked well when trialling up. He draws nicely. (1) ROAD TO PARTY can also be given another chance following an indifferent debut. He had previously trialled well and from the inside gat e can get an easier early run here. (5) WORLD WINNERS MAN and debut-maker (3) UNJU CHEONHA are others to consider for the minors.

Seoul Race 5: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Fillies (and one mare) only here, and it's a competitive race. (2) DREAM TIME came from a handy position to win very well on debut over 1000M. That was all the way back in September, so she comes in here off fourteen weeks off, as well as coming up in class and distance, but she can win again. (9) GEOLJAK SKY got her maiden win at start number three over this distance in October before running 4th having overcome the widest gate on her first try at this class on November 26th. That was a similar filly and mare race to this, and she can get closer today. (3) HAPPY PLAY enters off three consecutive 3rd place finishes, with the most recent being at this class and distance on November 5th. She has never finished any better but from a good draw, she can be aiming for improvement today. (6) ZIRCON and up in class last start winner (11) CHAMJOEUN JILJU others who can enter the calculations.

Selections (2) Dream Time (9) Geoljak Sky (3) Happy Play (6) Zircon

Busan Race 3: Class 5 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

(10) CHARMING BEST clocked a super time when winning over this distance on November 5th at class 6 level. He then came up to this level on December 1st and ran a good 3rd over 1300M, again racing on pace throughout. He only comes up 1kg in the weights and while the draw is a touch wider than ideal, he can win this. (1) HWANGGEUMSEONG got his maiden win at start number three over 1200M on October 27th. It had been coming too following positive efforts in his opening two outings. He led all the way and while he doesn't get a weight drop for the class rise, he can get an easy run to the front and cane make all again. (9) GANGSEO BULPAE was promoted to this class without a win and while he struggled after a bad start on his first attempt at this class on November 24th, he can be given another chance today. (8) POWERFUL DASH and (2) INDIAN PARTY others in the frame.

Seoul Race 6: Class 5 (1300M) Handicap / KRW 40 Million

Another wide-open race. (3) LUCKY PARTY remains winless after four attempts but is up in class following three 3rd place finishes at 1200M and 1300M, racing on pace each time. He comes down 2kg in the weights, he draws well and Moon Se-young climbs up. There is plenty to like about him here. There is plenty to like too about (2) CHEONGPAUI KKUM. He got his maiden win three starts back at 1200M and has a 4th and a 3rd in two subsequent efforts at this class, both also at 1200M. He comes up in the weights but draws well and should be a danger. (9) BARO CHAMPION ran a smart 4th on his first try at this level which came at this distance on November 4th. He faces the challenge of the widest gate, but he doesn't need to lead, and he can be a danger. (1) ELITE ROYAL and (10) MAGIC MOCCASIN among other sin the hunt.

Selections (3) Lucky Party (2) Cheongpaui Kkum (9) Baro Champion (1) Elite Royal

(6) SAMAKUI KKOT ran 3rd on debut in October before getting her maiden win in an all-filly race over 1200M on November 26th when she led all the way around. She comes up in class and in distance here but is slightly down in the weights, and she looks to have plenty of potential for further development. (4) ANOTHER ONE came from off the pace to run 3rd at this class and distance on December 8th. He is yet to win in eleven attempts and can certainly mix his form, but he can go close again here. (1) HAMPYEONG IS BACK beat a couple of these – including Another One – on his latest start on November 24th when leading for much of the way around and ultimately running 2nd. He was the longest shot on the board that day but warrants some more respect today. (2) TTANBONG QUEEN and (8) MORNING FLOW others in the placing hunt.

Seoul Race 7: Class 4 (1600M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

(7) GIANT PUNCH was an also-ran in the concluding leg of the Triple Crown, the Minister's Cup, back in July and hasn't raced since. He did though look well when winning a trial at the start of December and the mile can suit first-up today. Match fitness may be a concern though so (5) ARGO RICH will probably start as favourite. He comes in off a 2nd and a 3rd in his latest two at this class over 1400M, coming from off the pace both times and the step up to a mile can be to his benefit. (6) PEARL POINT beat three of these on her way to 3rd place at class and distance on December 3rd. She continues under a light weight and should be there or thereabouts again. (10) WONDERFUL JOY and (2) THANK YOU DAECHEON – both behind Pearl Point last time, are others to consider.

(3) GEUMA DISTINCTION ran 3rd on debut in August and has subsequently gone on to win three in a row up to 1400M at this class, racing on pace each time. He comes up to the mile for the first time as well as a full 4kg in the weights, but neither should be insurmountable and he can make it four here. (2) GLORY CROWN won back-to-back races in October and November to get rapidly promoted to this class and then proved he belongs with a 3rd place over 1400M on his first crack at it on December 1st. He too tries the mile for the first time, but his running style suggests that it should suit, and he carries a very light weight. (6) SUCCESS MOCCA was 4th behind Geuma Distinction last time out, coming from off the pace and may get closer at a mile today. (9) HAPPY BLUE and (4) FINAL SEVEN are others to keep safe.

(6) RULES CLASS returned from six months off to run a very good on pace 2nd at this class and distance on November 26th. That was a very tough ask first up but he came through it very well and should if anything strip fitter for that run and he can win here. (7) GEUMA CHIC overcame gate eleven to win at class and distance on December 3rd, settling handy and running on. She comes in under the same weight and a repeat is possible. (4) GLOBAL LUCKY was 3rd behind Geuma Chic in that December 3rd race, settling back and running on. That continued a positive run of form, and she can be close again here. (3) BERRING MAN and (1) ROCK FIGHTER are others in the placing frame.

Busan Race 6: Class 2 (2000M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

Tricky finale at Busan. (3) LANE KILLER is the reluctant top pick on the grounds that he rarely runs a poor race and the step back up to 2000M, alongside the draw and the weight should mean he has a chance. Expect him to be further forward than he was over 1800M last time out. That last time out was on December 1st in a race involving many of these which was won by (10) STAR MATTA. He overcame the same wide gate he draws today to sit midfield and then proved too strong late on. He comes up 2.5kg in the weights, but he is ultra-consistent with sixteen top-three finishes from twenty-three starts, and he can be there or thereabouts again today. (11) YEOKJEON MYEONGSU was 3rd in that December 1st race, continuing his consistent run of form and he can be close again. (4) CLEAN SHOT and (2) BABEL HIT others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 9: Class 2 (2000M) Handicap / KRW 90 Million

(1) ULTRA GALAXY ran 3rd in the Listed Ilgan Sports Trophy in September before winning on October 29th at this class and distance by a big margin when leading every step of the way. He comes up a full 5kg in the weights, but he draws very nicely, and the manner of that victory suggests there can be more to come. (9) MIGHTY GOOD was a winner over 1800M at class 3 level in October before running 3rd over that same distance on his first try at class 2 on November 25th. He likes to come from well off the pace and his first look at 2000M may suit. Like both Ultra Galaxy and Mighty Good (6) CHOEGANG GAME also came out of the Ilgan Sports. He comes in off a smart 4th at this level over 1400M and may be ready for the 2000M again. (8) SIMON QUEEN and the up in class (4) CONCORDE SPURT are others in the hunt.

Seoul Race 10: Class 4 (1200M) Handicap / KRW 60 Million

After a couple of wobbles, (6) RAON EMPIRE returned to winning ways at this class and distance on November 19th, settling handy and running on. She only comes up 1kg in the weights and she is favoured to repeat here. (4) TAEKHAN ran a solid 3rd place on debut at class and distance on November 18th, leading for most of the way around. Under today's handicap conditions, he comes down 2kg in the weights and with some natural improvement from that debut, he can be a danger. (10) K N GOLDEN KING returns to action for the first time since August when he won well at 1300M at class 5 level. He didn't offer many clues in his trial earlier this month and while he will need this, he has plenty of ability. (9) CAPTAIN SAMCHIRI and (1) EAST WEST other potentials for the minors.

After three near-misses, (2) PANORAMA KING got his maiden win at the fourth time of asking over 1300M on November 18th, settling handy and running on. He comes up in class but is down 3kg in the weights and from a great draw, he can win again. (5) RAON THE HIGHMAN come sin off a smart 3rd at this class over 1400M on November 25th. He comes in under the same light weight here and can settle just behind the speed and run on to challenge late. (3) FARCIARZ also comes in off a 3rd place at this class over 1400M. He is third-up this preparation and can be peaking fitness-wise here. (11) BLACK CHOCOLATE seems to be getting grips with this level and along with (7) WILD SOCKS is another to consider for the places.
