Updates on Stewards' follow-ups to Saturday meeting

RACE 1 [TF0798]

A veterinary examination on Sunday, 24 October 2021 revealed that LION SPIRIT (TH Koh) had returned lame near (left) fore. It is required to pass a 1000m gallop trial and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.

On Monday, 25 October 2021, Trainer T Fitzsimmons advised that he could offer no explanation for the performance of FIREWORKS (D Beasley), adding that the gelding had passed a veterinary examination the day following the race. He will continue with its current preparation.

RACE 9 [TF0806]

On Monday, 25 October 2021, Trainer T Fitzsimmons advised, that in his opinion, NATE'S HONOUR (N Zyrul) races best when able to lead, which it was unable to do on this occasion due to the fast tempo of the race. He will continue with the gelding's current preparation.

RACE 10 [TF0807]

On Monday, 25 October 2021, Mr S Crutchley, B Trainer to Trainer L Khoo, advised that whilst MESMERIZING (CC Wong) had passed a veterinary examination the day following the race, there is some swelling to the horse's near (left) fore fetlock, which will be treated and monitored. The Stable will advise the Stipendiary Stewards of any further results after treatment.

A veterinary examination on Sunday, 24 October 2021 revealed that EXCEED NATURAL (TH Koh) had returned lame near (left) fore. It is required to pass a 1000m gallop trial from the barrier and a veterinary examination prior to being declared to race again.
