RACE 1

1st Pick: BOOM SHAKALAKA (1) Down-grader coming back to suitable company. Rarely spends much time back in Class 5 and wasn't disgraced last time at the races.
2nd Pick: FAST AND FEARLESS (5) Maintains a 20% strike rate track and distance with multiple runs in the money as well. Could figure in the finish if he puts his best foot forward here.
3rd Pick: PER INCROWN (12) Quite a consistent placegetter, especially of late. Also raced wide with no cover or luck last start and boxed on for second.
4th Pick: HAPPY FRIDAY (3) Another dropping back to suitable company this start. Would have to turn his recent form around though to make an impression as his last two runs have been quite plain.

RACE 2

1st Pick: LIM'S KOSCIUSZKO (1) Quality sprinter making racing comeback after 3YO campaign was aborted. Trainer Daniel Meagher felt his charge was not 100%. Back in work since September and has been making slow headway. Ran a nice third at his last barrier trial last Wednesday. Nice low draw. Won't surprise if he goes well fresh to keep his 3-from-3 record going.
2nd Pick: HEAVENLY DANCER (3) After a promising first prep, this son of Echoes Of Heaven has not quite put his best foot forward this year, with a few bungled starts proving costly as well. Marble one and blinkers off. Big ask but on best form, he can pull something off.
3rd Pick: MISTER DYNAMO (10) Finds life tougher at Class 4 level but has been trialling in sparkling form and with blinkers replacing winkers, no weight on his back, he may give a better account of himself this time.
4th Pick: SALAMENCE (6) Didn't run a bad race at his first run for trainer Young Keah Yong. Face a stiff opponent in his former stablemate Lim's Kosciuszko but is good enough to fill the minors. Tongue-tie on.

RACE 3

1st Pick: HIDDEN PROMISE (2) From the leading barn here in Singapore. Coming off a strong second-last start and has track/distance stats to suggest he'll be a major player.
2nd Pick: FLYING YELLOW (1) Put a line through last start, stood there and missed away. Has a trial in between runs and should be ready to fire here.
3rd Pick: ENDLESS (13) One who could open at a price here this weekend if he gets in. Despite not winning a race, has been thereabouts and looks one for the multiples.
4th Pick: ACCUMULATION (7) Four second placings from his 10 starts over the mile on the Polytrack. Rarely wins but in this field, could run in the money for sure.

RACE 4

1st Pick: LIM'S SAMURAI (4) Former Group horse who ran his best race to-date in a long time last start. Will relish extra 200m. Been a long time between drinks but this could be his day.
2nd Pick: SPEEDY MISSILE (1) Dragged back to the last from the wide barrier last time out. Hugged the rails throughout and did his best work at the finish to run seventh to stablemate Brutus, just under four lengths off. Commands respect with Manoel Nunes jumping on board.
3rd Pick: THE WILD BUNCH (3) The Jason Ong-Koh Teck Huat combination has been popping up a fair number of times, and this pairing has enjoyed three wins in two seasons. Loves the course and distance. Only query is the awkward alley as he is an on-speed type.
4th Pick: GENTLEMEN AGREEMENT (6) Disappointing at his last two starts. Worth much better. Can bounce back. Horror gate is not a major concern as he gets back.

RACE 5

RACE 6

1st Pick: KING ARTHUR (1) Looks the standout in this. Unlucky second last time out. Big say.
2nd Pick: DINAR (14) Impressive debut winner despite his greenness. Tackles tougher lot here. Has made further headway but will have to overcome a wide alley this time. Shadow roll on. Stiffer task but not without a say.
3rd Pick: AMAZING BREEZE (3) Only one win but has always been hitting around the mark since. Expected to put in another bold showing. Winkers on. Include in your exotics.
4th Pick: NATE'S CHAMPION (5) Bolted up in Class 5 company at his last outing. Goes up a class but can still hold his own if he reproduces his last-start form.

RACE 7

1st Pick: LEGGENDA (5) Ignore last start. Stop-and-start run. Gets a more accomplished rider on board. Go close.
2nd Pick: HUNTSMAN (2) Has done nothing wrong in four starts this year, including opening his account. Mile is right up his alley. Drawn off the track but is still a threat if he gets in with cover.
3rd Pick: KSATRIA (8) In contention upon straightening but faded late. First Polytrack test. Working well on the training tracks. Outside chance.
4th Pick: HELUSHKA (1) Puts in best runs when he is left alone upfront. Might be able to achieve that from the handy barrier. Will be hard-pressed at the business end but may hang on for a place.

RACE 8

1st Pick: CAPTAIN SINGAPORE (3) Comes into this race after running a nice second last start. Oscar Chavez is riding in great form and this is a strong combination.
2nd Pick: LIM'S CRAFT (1) Looked good after returning to Class 4 last start. Ran an eye-catching third, and although he has drawn wide, he usually settles back, anyway.
3rd Pick: THUNDER (6) Runs leading into this have been encouraging. Performs very well over this distance and his best runs have been around this mark. Big watch.
4th Pick: BORN TO WIN (12) Has a chance to run on with a lightweight. Probably eligible for something easier but meets a level Class 4 field, so can figure.

RACE 9

1st Pick: MAKKEM LAD (3) Ultra-consistent galloper who is having a very good season. Aided by a claim and always runs well for apprentice riders. Looks hard to beat here.
2nd Pick: KHARISMA (2) Has risen up the rating points this season to become a top-class sprinter. His last two starts have been fair but he has trialled nicely.
3rd Pick: GOLD STAR (7) Looks to be a suitable field for him to be in the finish. His best form seems to come over slightly further but racing very well this year.
4th Pick: NEPEAN (5) Likes to jump and run. His last win was very impressive leading all the way and making it hard to catch him. If the rain comes, he is respected a lot more.

RACE 10

1st Pick: HARD TOO THINK (7) Has been a dominant stayer this season winning both the Singapore Derby and Queen Elizabeth II Cup, both at Group 1 level. Gets in extremely well at the weights and looks a serious threat they all must beat. Drawn perfectly in barrier No 5.
2nd Pick: LIM'S LIGHTNING (1) Comes into this handicap as our highest-rated galloper in the Lion City. He had a setback the day before his previous assignment and was scratched. Has been set for this and trialled in good order last week. He has two Group 1s this season and must be respected.
3rd Pick: KING'S COMMAND (15) The Singapore Gold Cup has favoured lightweights over many years and this runner looks in that category. His last two wins have been impressive albeit at a much lower grade. With a lightweight, he can run blistering sectionals and storm over the top.
4th Pick: BIG HEARTED (6) Won this race last year on a light weight. Looks to be every bit a stayer after running a tough second in this year's Singapore Derby behind Hard Too Think. Gets the services of comeback jockey Manoel Nunes and will be hoping for rain.

RACE 11

1st Pick: SPECIAL OPS (12) Has barely missed a placing in his previous five starts. Likes to settle middle of the pack and save his best sprint for the finish. Can continue that good form in this.
2nd Pick: IRONCHAMP (7) Free rolling style runner who usually gets it his own way up in front. Has a great record over this course and distance. Serious competitor.
3rd Pick: SATURNO SPRING (13) Surprised with a strong win first-up last start over this distance. Some horses can perform differently second-up but he can deliver a strong finish again.
4th Pick: PER INPOWER (6) Has a very healthy record over this track and distance. Last start was on the Polytrack and had excuses that day. Watch the market for support.
