RACE 1

1st Pick: DAVID'S SLING (5) From a prominent stable who relishes in placing runners in this grade. Was slow away last start and hit the line well. Trialled well recently for this.
2nd Pick: WHAT YOU LIKE (4) Drawn to get a lovely run in the race. Apprentice Jerlyn Seow Poh Hui is riding extremely well. Will give a good sight after performing well in this grade recently.
3rd Pick: FIRST CHIEF (1) On the quick back-up where he was well supported in betting. Gets the claim of Iskandar Rosman and only must handle the six-day turnaround.
4th Pick: GRANDPA MICK MAC (2) One of many in this field on the quick turnaround after racing last week. Drops a few points and now eligible for this class. Big player and take with respect.

RACE 2

1st Pick: GOOD FIGHT (1) Form has been solid for this Open Maiden. With Manoel Nunes in the saddle, he should push forward and give them something to catch.
2nd Pick: KONAN (7) Has drawn wide but looking to show us more than he has. Should be better suited to the turf and must be respected from a leading stable.
3rd Pick: SUPER INCREDIBLE (11) From the barrier should push forward and hold a handy position. His last two starts have produced respectable placings and can improve here.
4th Pick: CHIPMUNKS (6) Formerly trained in Australia where his two trials were handy being runner-up both times. Has looked good at his trials here since arriving.

RACE 3

1st Pick: SAHABAT (5) Back from a break when he reeled off two wins in a row at the last two of his five starts. Seems to have come back stronger. Lovely barrier. Deserves plenty of respect in this.
2nd Pick: SKY EYE (6) Honest in this grade. May find a couple of lengths more under Manoel Nunes. Snaffle bit on. Will again be thereabouts.
3rd Pick: LIM'S PASSION (2) Back on Polytrack. Not disgraced at his recent starts. Tends to leave his runs too late. Nice low draw. If he gets the run of the race, he can give this a good shake-up.
4th Pick: ARION PASSION (10) Up in grade again. Too good for Class 5 but finds Class 4 a touch too strong. Polytrack specialist who can make presence felt.

RACE 4

1st Pick: STAR EMPIRE (2) Returns to Class 5 grade this weekend. A lot to like with Oscar Chavez back in the saddle and blinkers back on. Interesting to see where they land from a wide draw.
2nd Pick: INTREPID (5) Buffalo Stable and trainer Tim Fitzsimmons are having a great season. Like the booking of Manoel Nunes after they teamed up last weekend for a nice victory. Her form recently is good enough to figure in this.
3rd Pick: SEE YAH (6) Comes into this off two minor placings where he wasn't beaten far in similar conditions. Although he gets back, wouldn't be shocked to see him more positive from the good gate.
4th Pick: DRAGON RYKER (4) Draws the inside barrier and gets the booking of our leading rider Hakim Kamaruddin. Was unlucky not to get the race two starts ago and can play a big part in this.

RACE 5

1st Pick: CHEVAL BLANC (6) Has been beaten 1.5 and 1.8 lengths respectively in its last two starts. Has been super consistent and there is nothing to suggest he can't be in the finish again. Up 1 kg from last start where he was in behind King's Command, good form line.
2nd Pick: IRON RULER (1) Despite the rider losing the whip at the 50m mark, he held off challengers just to win last time out. Steps up to the 1800m for the first time, but looks like he should handle it.
3rd Pick: STRONG N BEST (3) Another last-start winner who increases in weight and distance up to the 1800m start. Has trialled since then on Nov 11, was kept wide and wasn't asked for much but stuck on well.
4th Pick: FREE FALLIN' (9) Distance a plus, in behind Iron Ruler last start. Can mix form but is one for exotics players.

RACE 6

1st Pick: MAXIMILIAN (4) Well-tried galloper this season from our leading stable. Should push forward from a wide gate and does his best racing on this surface.
2nd Pick: LIM'S SHOT (3) Nice win in this grade last start over a slightly shorter trip. Drawn to get a nice run and will be strong to the line.
3rd Pick: SUPERIOR COAT (5) Last start was a touch disappointing but was held up in the final stages of the race. Should get a comfortable run and the booking of Manoel Nunes is a big plus.
4th Pick: BEN WADE (13) Needs to gain a start being first emergency, but if he gets a go his form is more than good enough for him to be in the placings for this event.

RACE 7

1st Pick: INHERIT (4) Put in a solid performance two starts back on turf. Looks the goods for a forward showing this time.
2nd Pick: WIND OF DUBAI (6) Got off the mark over same course and distance last time out. Should be able to track up in a beautiful spot from barrier No 2 and let down in home straight. This is a bit tougher, but he should be able to measure up.
3rd Pick: WIND OF LIBERTY (8) Lost no marks at his last start when he stuck on for third coming from well off the pace. Short Course doesn't help, but if he can find a posie from his awkward alley, he can take a hand in this.
4th Pick: ACE SOVEREIGN (3) Showed bits and pieces of ability as a three-year-old. Coming back from a layoff. Tried over a variety of distances. May need the run but can still make presence felt.

RACE 8

1st Pick: HAPPY MOMENT (1) Always had the raw talent, but has improved leaps and bounds at his second prep. Slapped with top impost of 58.5kgs but gives no reason why he can't carry it to a fourth win in a row.
2nd Pick: ROMANTIC (4) Has a nice turn of foot. Consistent in his races of late and this is right up his alley. Handy barrier. Won't surprise if he doubles the dose.
3rd Pick: WINNING SPIRIT (6) Running good without winning. Faces stiff task but is not without place claims.
4th Pick: THE MARKSMAN (5) Always well-backed but can't seem to find that extra length when it matters. Has drawn an alley, but is better when ridden off the pace. Blinkers back on. Placed twice with the gear on. Take on trust.

RACE 9

1st Pick: SAYONARA (4) Race unfolded to perfection with the fast early pace enabling him to tuck into a lovely stalking position throughout. Has maintained the same form and may well double the dose.
2nd Pick: GOLD KINGDOM (3) Back in form, it seems. Been finishing a lot closer in Class 5 company. Form is hard to fault. Bears watching.
3rd Pick: SUN CONQUEROR (2) Softened up by another runner in the lead last time out and duly knocked up. Wide alley doesn't help, but if he can come across early and get away cheaply, he may sneak in for a place.
4th Pick: BLACK TAIPAN (7) Making slow headway. Last start gave an indication he can't be written off too soon from now on. Outside chance.

RACE 10

1st Pick: GOLD REWARD (7) 2000m short course specialist (7:3-3-0) returning to preferred distance this weekend. Has trialled nicely leading up to this, respect.
2nd Pick: WIND TRAIL (6) 2000m winner and has placed on only other occasion over the distance. Last start beaten in similar grade over 1800m by less than a length from unfavourable draw (barrier 11), worth considering here.
3rd Pick: LEATHERHEAD (2) Trialled well on Tuesday leading into this start. Wasn't too far off Gold Cup contender On Line last time to the races.
4th Pick: SENOR DON (1) If he can get back to his best form, this son of Senor Candy should be able to find himself in the finish here, despite the top weight.

RACE 11

1st Pick: CON SPERANZA (4) Faded over 1800m last start, beaten 3.7 by King's Command. Back to mile again, should make own luck up in front.
2nd Pick: RAMBO (3) Coming out of same race as Con Speranza running fourth on that occasion. Stable in form, should take improvement and has had three seconds from three attempts track and distance. Worth considering.
3rd Pick: TWELFTH NIGHT (10) Last-start winner in Class 5. Despite the rise in class, the win had plenty of merit coming from near last. Respect as a place hope against better company.
4th Pick: SILENT PARTNER (5) Despite having not won over a mile or more, last run suggested that the extra ground could be a plus. Worth considering for a place.

RACE 12

1st Pick: MORTAL ENGINE (10) Lightly-raced but was a debut winner in Restricted Maiden company early this year. Has trialled since then coming out of a sharp trial amongst good company and must be respected coming up to Class 4. Owners, especially with the Tivic Stable having a great 2021.
2nd Pick: FROM THE NAVY (9) Backing up after a week. The application of blinkers last start was a great success. Doubt he'll be much of a price being the clear best in behind Lim's Kosciuszko but looks a main hope here despite the quick back-up.
3rd Pick: COSMIC SANDS (6) Was given a nice blow on Tuesday in his trial going out hard for 700m and then eased off late. Might have some ability, one to consider on debut.
4th Pick: SING OUR SONG (2) Wouldn't be counting this horse out just yet. He's been a little frustrating of late for punters but has been beaten by some nice company. Once they get him right, he'll be a nice horse.
