RACE 1

GOLDEN DASH - Typical Argentinian-bred who loves the all-weather. Won with something in hand at his last start when the blinkers came off. Will be hard to catch if he gets his own way in front again, but has drawn off the track this time. Stiffer task but not without claims for a double dose.

LIM'S UNIQUE - Always thereabouts these days. Working well on the training tracks. Nice low draw. Will give the selection a run for his money.

OLYMPIA - Been knocking on the door. Gives the impression he would be more effective over a longer trip. Include in calculations.

RESURGENCE - First-up and may need the run and more ground. Will probably drop back from the wide alley. If they roll along, he may sneak into the minors.

RACE 2

DECEPTION - Four placings in as many starts. Won't be long before he breaks his duck and Sunday could see him do that. Pinched ground off the smart Alqantur last time out. Blinkers on. Horse to beat.

STREET OF DREAM - Powerful big-striding colt who registered two barrier trial wins by a margin. Has drawn an alley. Seems versatile enough – can lead or take a drop. Go close.

EALAMI - Won narrowly at his two barrier trials but ran time on both occasions. May be inexperienced but looks like a horse who doesn't fret at taking gaps. Forward run expected on debut even if the awkward alley throws a dampener.

SUNSET - Resuming. Showed some potential at first prep. Not fully tested at his second barrier trial but still held his ground nicely for third. Has drawn off the track but still bears watching.

RACE 3

HAPPY MOMENT – Continues to race well since his last win in October of last year. Drawn well in three and gets a claim for Krisna. Just missed narrowly last start and looks the one here.

ROCKETSHIP – She flew the barrier last start and gave them all something to chase in a dominant display. Similar tactics will be on show and will still be a threat.

GREATHAM GIRL – This mare is first up since November last year and has since ran an eye-catching trial behind a proven horse. If the speed is hot look for her to be charging home late.

GRAVITON – Former Australian trained winner at Swan Hill. Wasn't beaten far in his trial here and watch any betting moves for support.

RACE 4

RUNMINDERBINDERRUN – Last two performances have been impressive. Cannot fault last two runs and who's to say he couldn't do it all over again.

KONAN – First run for 2022 was solid, was feeling the pinch late in the race. Fitness would have improved naturally from that run and the step out to 1200m will provide a much easier mid race tempo.

DESPACITO – Far from disgraced last time out and on previous performance could figure in the finish here, a must include to numbers.

LIM'S PRIDE – Track and distance winner three starts ago and very rarely puts in a bad run. In an open field, he is one of the more consistent performers.

RACE 5

LIM'S DREAMWALKER - Every chance at his last start but was beaten fair and square by Sir Elton over 1700m. Drop back to the mile will suit. Overdue for a win even if he's not the easiest conveyance to ride, and wide gate doesn't help his cause either.

KWAZI - Led but weakened out of it in straight. Was facing open company and reverts to Maiden class. Should find this easier and can bounce back.

TAVI WILL DO - Lacklustre performances so far. Rise back to 1600m might help. Outside chance. Drawn in but it's not really an advantage to a horse who doesn't fire out of the barriers.

GOLDEN TIGER - This one has some toe, though, but he will break from a wide alley. Tried to make his own luck in front last time but knocked up inside last 200m. Looks safely held but he may steal a place with a bit of luck.

RACE 6

CON SPERANZA – Looks like a Singapore Derby could be on his radar and if that is the case then you would want him to be winning this. Drawn nicely in barrier five and should get a nice tempo up front.

HERO – The strong Nunes and Fitzsimmons combination must be respected and is a winner at the distance already. Would need to find a length or two to be taking this out.

MALIBU BEACH – Rises in class after winning nicely over this distance last start. Looks ideally placed to run a nice each way run with a lightweight and proven figures.

RICVELO – On the quick backup after a nice win in torrential rain and a soft track last week. If he handles the quick turnaround could surprise again at odds.

RACE 7

GOOD CATCH -Boxed on solidly for second to Fountain Of Wealth at his last outing. Should be in the mix again even if he has drawn a sticky gate.

RETALLICA - Super effort last time when third despite coursing out wide. Has drawn neutral again and must be respected even if he doesn't win out of turn.

STAR EMPIRE - Saddle slipped last start. In his element in this class. Won twice over course and distance. Keep safe.

SUPERIOR COAT -Yet to salute again since he scored his maiden win at tailend of last year. Faced the breeze throughout last time out. Can atone from a handier barrier this time. From in-form yard and deserves another chance.

RACE 8

ACE SOVEREIGN – One could argue he had every possible opportunity last start to win but I feel this is a more favorable field with less proven milers engaged. Happy to forgive and hopefully see him find his best form.

AMORE AMORE – Trial in behind fellow Lucky Unicorn runner in Lucky Jinsha was a nice run. Has done most of his best work over 1200 but up to the mile could be the right move at this point of the preparation.

FOUNTAIN OF FAME – Broke through last start for a well-deserved win. Up to the mile will be a test but hopefully he has taken plenty of confidence from the win and we see him improve a couple of lengths.

CONFLAGRANCE – Lameness was the cause for last start performance which on face value, still wasn't a bad run at all. Last time track and distance, ran second beaten 1.3 lengths, a must include for exotics.

RACE 9

LUCKY JINSHA – Low flying at the moment winning his races in dominant style. Trialed nicely for this after being scratched with hoof issue a few weeks back. Nunes sticks and looks the danger.

HADEER – Not much luck last start in a hot speed race and failed to finish off after burning early. Senior jockey jumps on and with the right run can be there in the finish.

MOONGATE STAR – First up since November last year and had a few trials to have him fit for his. Chavez rides and could be a danger fresh.

BE BEE – Impressive winner two starts ago and makes the switch back to the turf. Has a great record over the course and distance and is a multiple group winner in his younger days.

RACE 10

BOY XANDER – Restricted maiden win over a year ago was a good performance. Has been off the scene a while but recent trial suggests he is back and ready to go and this div 2 class 4 looks a great starting point.

BIONICS – Third up this weekend coming off an eye catching second up performance in behind Mortal Engine. Expecting further improvement here, and for that reason he is a big threat to this field.

BIZAR WINS – Leading all the way to a last start victory. Back to 1000m no concern if he jumps with them again. Start of the race will be crucial to his success.

MY DREAMLINER – First run back down in Class 4 did not go to plan. Happy to respect still as his best is much better than any of these if he can find old form. Must include.

RACE 11

BRUTUS – Gets the services of our leading jockey and has very strong form figures for here. Can be adaptable in the run and if he gets luck from a wide barrier will be there in the finish.

WAR PRIDE – Consistently running placings at his last four starts and Chavez returns from suspension. Just missed last start and with a similar run can be dangerous in this race.

CHAMPAGNE FINALE – Has not been since middle of November when finishing seventh. Goes well in the grade and loves a wet track. Keep an eye on the weather leading into this.

STENMARK – Although drawn wide needs to be kept safe with a lot of form coming out of his races. If Bayliss can plot a course from a wide gate his best can have him in the multiples.
