RACE 1

CRYSTAL DRAGON – Son of Jimmy Creed who has been trialling up well ahead of his class 5 debut. Runs in class 4 were behind some nice horses like Hadeer before ending the last campaign in July 2021. Expecting a forward showing against suitable company.

GOLDEN DASH – Beaten under a length last time to the races. Looks to be the leader here and should be making his own luck up in front.

DESPACITO – Closed off well in behind Northern Sun last start. Third up this weekend, one for the multiples.

PER INCROWN – Last start winner in a much easier race than this but his win was tough and had to really fight for it. Must respect.

RACE 2

SILENT IS GOLD – Solid debut run last start in behind the bullet. Extra ground should suit, looks the one to beat here.

MR PACINO – Back to non-winning company after a class 4 debut. Looks a much more achievable target at this stage.

THE STAR – Leading stable, leading rider and owned by a stable who have already had plenty of success so far this year. Trial on 31st of march suggests he's well and up to the task.

DIXIT DOMINUS – Drop back in distance is a slight query but he is a horse who probably should have won one by now. Keeping safe as a potential place getter.

RACE 3

WATER ROCKET – Returns to the races for his first up run in 2022. Trials have been solid enough to suggest he is well and a strong contender this weekend.

EAGLE EYE – Looks to have needed the run first up. Hopefully we can see him return to his previous we saw towards the end of last year.

THE AUGUST – Has had two runs for the new stable and last start was only beaten by just over a length. Could run a cheeky race once again.

NATE'S CHAMPION – Drops significantly in weight coming up from class 5 to class 4. Last start win was eye catching, willing to keep safe in the numbers.

RACE 4

ANARA – Out to 1600m for the first time in his Singapore career. He is a horse with ability who hasn't had the opportunity to show his best yet. Maybe the rise in distance will give him that chance.

ACE SOVEREIGN – He has most certainly had his chance to win his last couple starts and hasn't been able to deliver. However, he has been right in behind the winner on a couple of occasions and this doesn't look a deep race. Keeping safe despite the wide gate.

QILIN TOP FORM – Closed off exceptionally well for a horse who was a long way off the leader at the turn. Needs a few things to go right in the race to find that best form, but last start was a promising sign that a win is not far away.

HENG XING – Gets back to non-winners company and has been getting a pass mark for his last couple runs. One who could most certainly place with any luck.

RACE 5

SEE YAH – Draws midfield and has been racing incredibly well of late. Strikes a very winnable race.

HUNTSMAN – Second last start in behind Star Empire who unfortunately did not frank the form his following start. However, they both cleared out from the rest and the run deserves respect. Danger.

HIGH VOLTAGE – Trialled well in behind Griffin in okay time on March 24th. Expecting a forward showing here first up for 2022.

BIG DAY – Beaten 2.4 lengths last start after finally settling midfield in a race this year. If he jumps well, look for him to be closing off well late.

RACE 6

BIG GREEN HAT – Knocking on the door and is overdue to get that first win. This looks an easier target and despite drawing the outside gate, he looks the one here.

FLASHFAST – Winner of two trials under the name Pungarehu and is stepping out here for his Singapore debut. Not too much to go off but this run should give us a good guide. Keep safe.

WAN LEGACY – 6.4 lengths off Blazing Kid last start on debut. Caught wide without cover throughout the run so you could argue he had excuses. This looks a much easier race.

FIGHTING HERO – Comes out of a 1000m maiden last start where it did get its opportunity to win. However, according to the map, he should find himself in the right spot here so happy to respect as a place chance.

RACE 7

POROSHIRI – Once again, last start, he threw the head up and cost himself the race despite putting himself in a fantastic position to win mid-race. He is a horse who seems to resent the riding crop so it would not be a shock to see him ridden hands and heels this weekend to try and stop this from occurring again.

HOSAYLIAO – Showed again last start going down 0.3 lengths that another win isn't far away. Keeping him safe as a big threat in this race.

FORT MUSTANG – Put a line through last start, he never made an impression and the race was over a long way from home for him when he missed the kick. Hopefully we see him jump this weekend and find himself up near the speed.

FOOTSTEPSONTHECAR – Finally broke through last start to record the maiden win and burst through runners to get there late on the line. Confidence will be high, a must for the numbers.

RACE 8

LIM'S UNIQUE – Wide without cover throughout the run last start. Carries a heavy weight again but with some more luck, expecting him to be in the finish.

ALLEGRO – After good late market support, he was motoring home late in the race from almost last at the turn late to be beaten a little over a length. Needs a hot tempo to suit but there looks to be enough speed on paper.

WEDNESDAY – Last week looked his race to win but despite finding a gap in the straight, he found nothing. Happy to give him another chance as he has been around the mark for a while and could win at any point. Respecting big time.

ATLANTEAN – Got no favours last start and was caught wide without cover for a majority of the race. Happy to forgive and include in the mix once again.

RACE 9

BOY XANDER – First up off 379, the gelding struggled to put his best foot forward and showed signs of a horse who had been away from it for a while. Should improve from that run, he is the best horse here if he can put it all together.

MINI FORCE X – Back to class 4, class drop looks ideal for him. Keep very safe.

REVOLUTION – 1.9 off winner first up, will take plenty from that run. Expecting a much-improved performance and a top three placing from him this weekend.

WIND OF DUBAI – Back-to-back class 5 winner towards the end of last year. Returns first up in class 4 with a couple nice trials in late March to prepare.

RACE 10

TANGIBLE – Last start winner who impressed taking out the 2000m class 3 on the 19th of March. Drops back in distance and comes back onto the poly however, he has raced over the track and distance twice for a win and a second.

STRONG N BEST – Last start winner who beat Tangible over the mile on the poly. Light weight this weekend and is one for one track and distance.

TRUMPY – Doesn't win all too often but always puts in a nice run. A win isn't too far away and is at the right part of his preparation to be finding his best.

PENNYWISE – Since coming back to class 3, he hasn't been too far away. One who could figure in the minor placings in a race that is very open.

RACE 11

RENZO – Saddle slipped last time so willing to forgive. Rarely runs a bad race so look for him to be in the finish again.

ROMANTIC – Won well last start. Consistency is a big factor with this horse, he is always not far from the winner and looks a top three chance this weekend.

LIM'S KNIGHT – Continues to run well at class 4 on the poly over the short distances. Has led and won but can also run on. Versatility is a plus with him.

FLAK JACKET – Will be ideally suited to a drop back to class 5 and going off his rating, he isn't far away. However, he has a lightweight here and has shown recently he can put in a cheeky performance with no weight on his back.

RACE 12

HYDE PARK – Fierce competitor who tries his heart out always. Caught wide last start which hindered his chances, however, has won multiple races with big weights and his class 5 record speaks for itself.

BEER GARDEN – Narrowly denied last start but showed once again that a win should be happening sometime these preparations. Keeping him safe as a threat.

BEN WADE – Back to 1000m which is a first but could not find a back last start from barrier 8 and was wide throughout. Place chance.

KONAN – Trackwork and previous starts have been good. Just needs to jump and find the front which has been hard for him to do so far. Throwing him in the mix on trust that he might be able to do so this weekend.
