RACE 1

LIM'S ZOOM – Drops back to class 5 for first time since being a comfortable winner carrying 59kg in the first race of 2022. Back to suitable company puts this son of Zacinto right in this.

ARION PASSION – Hasn't been far away his two runs since returning to class 5. Another win doesn't look to far away for him.

CITY GATE – Maiden performance behind Shang Chi deserved respect. With 51kg due to the claim, he must be considered a love place chance in this curtain raiser.

DAVID'S SLING – 0.6 off Snip last start and doesn't lose any fans with Manoel Nunes taking the ride this weekend. Would not shock to see him in the frame here. Keep safe.

RACE 2

ALEXANDER – Last start victory he carried weight and got the job done. Finds a weak race again, if he can overcome the gate draw, he is in with a chance.

DIAMOND RING – Another who has drawn wide but meets the easiest field he has faced for a while. Top three player for sure with some luck from the gate.

SUPERIOR COAT – Comes out of same race as Diamond Ring finishing only just behind. Draws well with Nunes aboard, happy to respect here.

LIM'S SHOT – Blinkers on for the first time since 1/1/20. Interesting gear change for the nine-year-old, keeping safe and hoping to see some improvement.

RACE 3

BIG TIGER – A winner of his last two starts in similar conditions. The trainer looks to have him in a great place and will take some beating in this grade yet again.

SIAM ROYAL ORCHID – Looks to be another showdown between him and Big Tiger again. All of his four wins have come over this course and distance, so he is at his best trip.

FIRST BOWL – Racing well in recent starts and is on the quick seven-day backup. With a nice run throughout he can figure in the multiples.

WECANDO – He is a horse who usually races on the turf but when he has run on this surface he has performed at a good rating. Caught the eye flying home last start and can go better here.

RACE 4

ATLAS – Two solid performances in its last couple runs. Gets the claim again of P H Seow and has a placing on turf in its only start over 1800m.

SIR ELTON – Looking for three wins on the bounce this weekend. Despite meeting his toughest field yet, winning form must be respected.

KING'S SPEECH – Nunes jumps aboard and despite being out of form lately, this rider booking could be a big plus for this horse and finding his best once again.

CENTURION – Back to poly surface after finishing 1.4 lengths of Diamond Last start. Drops 4.5 kg for this week's assignment.

RACE 5

KING ZOUSTAR – Returns to class 5 for the first time in over a year. Didn't spend much time in this grade last time and don't expect him to be here much longer again. Strong chance.

BEER GARDEN – Won over 1000m last week and returns to pet distance with the big claim again. Could threaten.

NORTHERN SUN – Looks to be the consistent horse in this field and in recent months, hasn't been far away at all from the winner when he hasn't taken out the race himself. Keeping safe.

CIRCUIT STAR – Solid performance last start to get within less than half a length. Chavez on this weekend, wouldn't be leaving out of exotic plays.

RACE 6

OLYMPIA – Has been in the frame three of his last four attempts. Wouldn't shock me to see him jump in this field at a very short quote. Looks the one on paper.

DECRETO – Rarely puts it all together but is a six-time winner in Singapore and is third up this weekend, could improve here.

HIGH LIMIT – Out of form but has a light wright this weekend in his third run since the blinkers were reapplied.

SAMURAI EXPRESS – Last start was wide without cover and as a result, raced very keen and never got an opportunity to put his best foot forward. Strikes his easiest contest so far this year and he should be beating quite a few of these home.

RACE 7

BLAZING KID – Has been consistent in his first three career starts. Makes his polytrack debut this start but stable is flying and has trialed and worked well on this surface. Big watch here.

WAR COMMANDER – A well bred gelding who won at his first appearance for the stable. Caught the eye on Tuesday morning trialing in under the sixty second barrier and looks to be a big contender.

SHANG CHI – Won his maiden by three and a half lengths last start. Should be getting a nice run in the race and looks to be a horse that can have a good career here.

STREET OF DREAMS – Didn't have a lot of luck at his first start and was caught in a bumping duel. Has since trialed well since then and looks to be a horse who is learning but has ability there.

RACE 8

SHEPHERD'S HYMN – Finds his way in a mid-level quality class 4 event and although was a touch disappointing last start at his peak he can win this race.

KING LOUIS – Resented racing inside of horses at his last start and if the rider can keep him to the outside, he will be hitting the line strongly. Well performed in this class.

QUEEN LAGERTHA – A four-time winner over this course and distance in her career and can mix her form around but when you least suspect it she runs an eye opener.

SUMMER WIND – Has turned his form around his last two starts with impressive placings. Must bring that form to this surface and up in class but maybe they have found the key to him now.

RACE 9

LIM'S HOPEFULLY – Closed off well in behind Retallica after getting no favors early from the gate and checked down the straight. Light weight again as well as a much better draw. Big chance.

BIG MARY – Gets in well at the weights here with CC Wong to ride. Hasn't been far off it's last couple starts and potentially represents some each way value in this race.

THE WILD PRINCE – Quick back up after on speed win from inside gate. Draws inside again and is up 3.5kg but should be in the mix if we see a repeat performance early where he jumps on terms.

BROADWAY SUCCESS – Back to poly when he hasn't had much success however, he draws well and has had some nice runs behind some progressive types of late. One to throw in the multiples.

RACE 10

CELAVI – Very speedy mare who has an unbeaten course and distance record. Winner of our only Polytrack group race and looks the one to beat.

SACRED GIFT – Comes into this off two very impressive wins at his last two starts. The lightweight will be in favor for him to go close yet again.

FAME STAR – A former Group two winner back in his prime. Bounced back to winning ways last start under a good front running ride and has won on this surface in the past. Don't leave out.

GOLD STAR – Capable galloper who has good form figures for a race like this. Trialed nicely for this and under the care of our leading stable.

RACE 11

ARARAT LADY – Classy mare who races well at this level and distance. We haven't seen her win since the middle of last season but has caught the eye in her last runs and today could be her day.

KING ARTHUR – Arrives in this event carrying topweight and has had a profitable season under the Logan banner. With a comfortable run he will be there in the finish.

SKY EYE – Rises in grade after a good class 4 win and running good times. If he runs up to that performance and aided by a light weight, he could surprise against these.

HAPPY MOMENT – Continues to race with plenty of consistency and has a 43.9%-win percentage over this course and distance. Don't leave him out of your picks.

RACE 12

KASSAB – Racing first up today and has impressed in recent trials leading up to this event. A very lightly raced five-year-old who looks to have some ability.

THE BULLET – Won his maiden on debut in nice style. From the leading stable and not many horses win when racing against older horses first time, but he must be held in contention.

ROCKETSHIP – Speedy mare who races well at this distance. If she can break from the start quickly and get steady sectionals, she could give them something to catch.

BIONICS – Both of his career wins have come over this distance and was beaten by a very handy galloper last start.
