England are favourites (1/11) to advance to the semi-finals ahead of their opponents (11/1), and with the hosts in free-scoring form against a PNG defence that allowed Tonga and the Cook Islands to score 24 and 16 respectively whilst also putting up decent numbers in attack, a high-scoring game is on the cards (total score over 45.5 @ 19/20).

The hosts are considered good value to at least make it all the way to the final (4/5) with both Australia and New Zealand on the other side of the bracket, although lifting the Paul Barrière Trophy might be a stretch too far for them (34/5). In order to do so England will likely have to beat Australia in the showpiece game. Australia remain strong favourites for the tournament (6/13).

In their quarter-final, the Kangaroos (1/100) should have no problems getting past Lebanon (100/1). In their most difficult match so far, the Lebanese lost only 34-12 to New Zealand but Australia will prove an altogether tougher test, with the holders having conceded only 14 points in their three games so far. The market sees them running out winners by at least 40 (Australia –40 @ 8/11)

New Zealand (1/40) are favourites against Fiji (26/1). The only other time the two teams met was at the same stage in the 2017 tournament when the Fijians produced a shock 4-2 win, but such an upset seems unlikely this time around (New Zealand –26 @ 4/7). A lower scoring affair in comparison to other matches could be on the cards (total points under 49.5 @ 4/5).

The final match is a Pacific Islands showdown between Tonga and Samoa in what is likely to be the closest tie of the round. The Tongans are slight favourites and are good value (4/6) but Samoa (13/8) should not be ruled out, with neither team likely to win by a big margin (Samoa +10 @ 2/5).
