Sam King kept the ball rolling with a 13/8 winner at Musselburgh yesterday evening and he returns with three more selections to whet the appetite on this tremendous Tuesday evening.
Ralph Beckett has a healthy 22% strike-rate when sending horses to Ffos Las and his Lucky Fifteen should be capable of landing the hat-trick in the penultimate Regimental Cleaning Handicap at 8.30.
The son of Lope De Vega has done well since switching to handicaps having been gelded and remains a three-year-old well on the up in my opinion.
He bumped into one when runner-up on his handicap debut at Newbury and the form looks solid with the third-home now-rated 14lb higher following two comfortable victories. The Ralph Beckett-trained runner comfortably landed a fairly competitive three-year-old handicap at Chelmsford on the back of that and looked to have bundles more under the bonnet when scoring convincingly at Goodwood.
A 5lb rise looks more than fair for that recent success and I'd expect to him rate well into the high 80s by the time the season is out.
Selection: Lucky Fifteen - General 6/5
A change of codes is required for our second selection as he we head to Stratford.
The Saige Decking Ltd Handicap Chase at 7.10 looks like quite a tight affair but Sea Prince makes the most appeal.
Alex Hales has saddled three winners from six runners over the last fortnight and his seven-year-old looks to have plenty going for him this evening.
The son of Born To Sea made a really pleasing return to action when second at Southwell in May. A 2lb drop in the weights looks generous for that effort and the winner since went down narrowly in a competitive Class 2 handicap chase at Uttoxeter to give the form a solid look.
He should have come on plenty for that outing and it's easy to see Alex Hales' charge going close given he won a similar course and distance handicap chase off just 2lb higher last August.
Selection: Sea Prince - General 9/4
Our third and final wager also comes from Stratford and Line Of Descent can continue his excellent run of form in the Visit racingtv.com Novices' Handicap Chase at 8.10.
The Warren Greatrex-trained gelding has barely looked back since getting off the mark over fences in a course and distance contest back in April and arrives at the top of his game following an authoritative twelve-length success at Southwell last week.
The son of Nathaniel likes to be ridden prominently and his solid jumping should be a real asset in this contest. Jockey Sean Bowen has been in excellent form over the past fortnight (29%, 12-42) and he can add another to his tally this evening with a 7lb rise unlikely to be enough to prevent this thriving five-year-old from following up.
Selection: Line Of Descent – General 15/8
